A few years back we hosted our niece from Ontario and took her to Cathedral Grove; we also brought an Ewok costume for her. Epic uncle status attained and guaranteed forever.
I guess they didn’t have a map that included any of the communities that make up the Comox Valley. 2 minutes and 43 seconds dedicated to Craigdarroch Castle and Beacon Hill Park in VIctoria and very little Up Island and nothing on the Comox Valley. Clearly the “production team” doesn’t get north of the Malahat much. Overall a really shoddy “Ultimate Insider’s Guide” of Vancouver Island.
I have lived in BC for all my life, the island for 30 years. I can't really recommend Victoria, it has a lot of nice residential areas, but the downtown isn't nice anymore. Craigdarroch Castle won't be that interesting to people who have seen real castles in Europe. The locals don't go to Beacon Hill Park anymore because of all the homeless there. Butchart Gardens is definitely worth going to, well I love beautiful gardens. Duncan is not worth going to at all! I don't have anything against the town, but it's not worth going to. Chemainus is a nice, known for it's paintings all over the town buildings. I live in Nanaimo, avoid our downtown, worst downtown on the island. Maffeo Sutton Park is worth going to with beautiful seawall that goes along the boat harbour. From there, I would go to Rathtrevor Beach on the way to Parksville. Parksville has a beautiful beach park with great playground. The rest of the recommendations on the list, I agree are worth checking out, except Port Hardy. I've never been there, but I don't know anyone who has, say anything good about the town.
They skipped Port Alberni because my sister was caught on camera flipping off every tourist heading to Tofino that drives by their house every single day…all day… all month… all year long……. Non stop vehicles. She misses the quiet…hint hint
Awesome opening shot. i have watched the small aircraft landing in the harbor. NEW subscriber.

You missed Courtenay,Comox completely including Comox glacier, mt Washington etc. Glaring omission.
The waterplane system on VI is world renowned.
NZ crew checking in. Well done
In and around Tofino, bicycles have been augmented to carry surfboards.
Absolutely outstanding job 👏
That is such a beautiful place! I find moody days give a nice feel in the footage 😊
Great video! What year was it filmed?
Beautifully done, Thank you 🙏❤
fact check: Dingy Dock Pub is on Protection Island. from a resident. great film.
Vancouver is beatiful city
Victoria is so much better though. It's beauty far surpasses Vancouvers.
FYI the Dingy Dock Pub is on Protection Island not Prospect Island
Beautiful video- and I love your scripting Very poetic. How many days did you spend here?
You missed BC in the title

Its beautiful. Its too bad its too expensive to live there.
No it's not, but do keep saying that. I want everyone to think that!
How is the sunset from Qualicum Beach? it's sunrise 🤦🏻♀️
What?+
Why skip Port Alberni, so rude
Port Alberni is just the pit stop you make on the way to the cool places, lol.
They skipped Port Alberni because my sister was caught on camera flipping off every tourist heading to Tofino that drives by their house every single day…all day… all month… all year long……. Non stop vehicles. She misses the quiet…hint hint
Sounds like the sister and Madison are equally rude. What nutcase comments! I live on a busy street too, + it's my own fault for buying here.
I live in Friday Harbor. How hard is it to make a day trip to Victoria?
This is the best travel guide video I have ever seen. Amazing. Great job!!
U forgot to show sooke u have to go thru it to get to tofino
Vancouver Island Canada
After Cape Scott, Ukie is my favourite place on the Island.

well this was just fucking sad to watch and especially to listen to!!
Please let me know how you really feel LOL
Sounds like that poster needs mental health help.
A fantastic place , let us try and keep the homeless out to prevent them from destroying this natural beauty of a place .
It would be so much more important to keep the right wing fanatics out. They are the scourge of the earth.
