- This is a hypothetical* anti-piracy screen for the game I made in about 5 mins in an AVI frame editor program and Microsoft Paint. I then spliced it into footage of gameplay and rendered it in OpenShot. I feel I could've done a better job of editing this together.

Funny thing, the only reason that they added denuvo because a certain someone streamed himself getting 12 game overs before the release. This is extra stupid because it was the switch version and his copy just came in the mail early. They eventually removed denuvo.

What's a DRM? I have a pirated copy of Sonic Mania plus and just Mania and I didn't encounter anything weird that shouldn't be in the original copy.

Honestly, you should have used the "unlocked" sound effect, or game over effect. Mostly the unlocked sound effect, because that sound creeps me the fuck out.

my first sonic game was unleashed but i prefer sonic rush as my first because on sonic rush is when i started to know who was sonic and his friends and almost every game of nintendo ds really

As someone who has played through this game at least half a dozen times as a kid, The lack of the first two chaos emeralds before the 3rd one makes me more uncomfortable than the anti piracy screen.

I played this game so much as a kid, but I never beat it because I was so bad at it XD
I didn't find it too difficult (I was around 8/9 if I remember correctly), but there were some annoying parts like Altitude Limit and the final boss w/ Super forms

I kinda like how this one actually seems legit. Besides the music, which it sounds good but IMO I feel it should be silent during that moment or at the very least keep playing the music that was playing prior to the popup, but other than that i think it does a good job and doesn't try too hard to creep the player out.
Sometimes even a simple "irregularity detected" can spook me out hehe

It kicks you out of the game, and boots you back to the DS Home Screen.
I'd like to assume it just sends you back to the title screen and deletes all save data. From my knowledge, they tend to do that.

How in god’s name did I forget this game existed-
The DS sonic games don't check for a pirated files mid game, they do that right before the title screen. With a pirated copy of sonic rush, it just deletes your 100% file after you spent hours of getting S ranks in every stage.
Can confirm for Sonic Colors, but I dont think the first Rush game has even that.
@@tomrow32 It does, but it doesn't show a anti-piracy specific screen. It just formats your game card. It lets you play, you just can't save.
