Battlefield gives us a wonderful vision of what the war was and what it meant to our history, to humanity. Please, never forget them. RIP all soldiers!
@@goobsta8906 Doesn't capture the sense of quiet desperation Luftwaffe pilots had at the end. Did you play the intro? It's four of you against an entire wing of bombers over *your* homeland. There is something to be said about all the German troops of that time for fighting down to the last, but the Luftwaffe is often overlooked in this. These guys, like in WWI, were the rockstars of warfare. They got the cool airplanes that zoom by, it was certainly something the kids would hang up in their room as a poster. Then you approach the end of the war. For many Luftwaffe pilots in '44 through '45, they knew that this last mission with the plane that has taken them through so much would be their last. One may not attribute much to this, but you must understand a pilot tends to get attached to his aircraft. He'll pin-up designs, put some family photos inside, perhaps even make some mechanical modifications. To be a young man of that time having taken to the skies over a safe Germany for years, then thrust into the heat of combat where you had every advantage... Only for years later to get orders to head up into the skies one last time in defense of the Fatherland. As this final walk to your plane takes place, a pat on the nose of his craft, a few steps up, and a somber sigh as you get settled into the seat of your 109/190 one last time. Looking up to the sky seeing something you never truly thought of even with all that time in the air, just taking in that blue sky.... One last time.
@@Aqueox unfortunately the same can't be said for all of the allied forces. Quite often the British pilots were shunned by the ground forces, especially after the events of Dunkirk, when they were told to hold off for the supposed invasion of Britain. Pilots were often told that if they were to be shot down during battle, that they should remove their uniform to avoid backlash from ground forces on their side. It's so sad to think that brave people fighting dangerous conditions up there were neglected by their own countrymen.
@@spacextreme1 Again thats the war story name that this song pairs with. Songs name is still Strength & Guile Edit- Did some research the songs actual name is Strength & Guile but EA renamed it for BFV.
Im norwegian and this just reminds me of my country. My grandfather has told me stories from the war, like the time he ran into a german soldier (my grandpa was born in 1939 so he was just a child) and when he was in the army he used a bunch of weapons so i have made a loadout in the game called "bestefar" (that means grandpa)
Nice! America here, my grandfather flew bombing missions over the pacific. The world is humanity’s country. I fear we’re going to have to come together soon and defeat globalism.
Michael Lewis I honestly forgot about this comment so i thought i could tell another story from my family. Before the attack on the sms Möwe (Also known as Oldenburg) the civilians were informed by the allies so they were prepared to hide away. One of the families in the area were related to my Dad ( I dont remember how, but when they visited they told me the story) When the battle was raging, they were hiding in the basement. All of a sudden they heard a crash upstairs. The dust in the basement flew everywhere blinding them. When the daugther could see ( She’s the one who told me this) She saw a bomb there laying in the middle of the room. If it had detonated everyone would be dead. But luckily on its way through the kitchen where the stair case was, it had hit a rag hanging on the oven. So the bomb was slowed down. They immediatly ran outside, where they ran towards a stormdrain. On their way up they met another neighbour Also running to safety. They got down and survived the whole war. I hope this story was intresting to you too.
In wars Young people fought and lost their lives. War doesn't take excuses, there is no exception for who should fight. In a war there never is a true good person. Americans, Germans, British, Japanese, They all fought to protect their country. They all used to be people like us, They smiled, loved. They were scared. Scared of war. They wanted to return back to their families, To their loved ones. But war.. War makes us all monsters, Everyone who fought and killed. At the times like these, humanity is but a word, Emotion, a feeling you distantly remember. At the times like these, Humanity leaves you. So we should be thankful, That other people gave their humanity and lives, For things we take for granted.
Man I still remember the first day playing and hearing the music for the first time. It just captivated me and I literally just sat there listening. This battlefield had the best sound track next to BF1 and BF4
I can imagine this in BF1. The theme that symbolises the Christmas truce. Enemy soldiers on opposite sides joining together and showing humanity after all.
I know this sound quite over dramatic and stuff like that... but i litterally got goosebumps from listening to this. This is in all honesty the most beautiful song I've ever heard... wow... And it's not only this song that's amazing, but the entire BF5 soundtrack is ON POINT. Props to you for that dice...
It seems alright. I'm not hating on the game and franchise as a whole (been playing since 1942). Just certain things to dislike here and there. Best thing about Battlefield is always the music, and I'm glad that they're still as prolific as always! :3
Idk, I wasn’t too impressed with this theme to be completely honest. And I know hordes of people will disagree, but I really liked battlefield 1’s soundtrack more. This song feels out of place to me. I guess people like it cause it reminds them of LOTR
My great grandfather was a WW2 veteran and he died yesterday and I found this on RUclips and I recommended it to my family and boy will I tell you when the flute started everyone in automatic tears and the song filled my heart with saddens and joy and to know that my great grandpa died a hero and to all the American armed forces may god bless you all
@@Savitar-ys2kb You got that right. I'm not patriotic at all. I'm not as weak minded as to think one specific country is somehow "blessed" and watch by "God" and that killing a massive amount of people is somehow justifiable. And I'm not talking about nazis
@@SpectorEuro4 So you are saying that every country did things that were unjustifiable. What the U.S did during WW2 was justifiable (the ones that were documented that is) because they were protecting other surrounding countries as well including the world. Picture how Nazi Germany would have done to other people. They targeted ethnic groups and minorities. If the U.S didn't do join the war, you probably would see many Germans Nazi's walking wherever you are living. We are human, there will always be a person or a group that will do unjustable things and there are people that will not let that slide but that also comes with a price.

I think this is better than any song in Battlefield 1! It makes me want to travel to Ireland, where a part of my family came from so long ago. I would feel so at home there.
BF5’s soundtrack is absolutely beautiful. Kudos to Dice for making both a remarkable game and fitting music. Not easy to do that, part of the reason I love Battlefield.
This song was the last thing I heard when I fought alongside Corporal J Syddall. I flew above him in a Spitfire, as he, as our last line of defence in a tank, moved forward to the enemy. He knew death was inevitable, but he carried on, as he had to stop the bridge advance from the Wehrmacht. As I flew over him, he opened his door, and gave a smile. This was a smile of acceptance, that he was finally at peace, that he would finally join his fellow soldiers in heaven. When my grandson asked me, “Grandad, were you a hero in the war?” I reply back, “ No, but I served in a company of heroes, see this man here, this was Corporal J Syddall, he gave his today, for our tomorrow”
100% without question the best part of BF5. I'll deliberately sit in the menu and wait 3 minutes before searching for another game if this song starts playing. Beautiful, and never gets old.
"It’s like in the great stories Mr. de Gaulle. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn’t want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy. How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad happened. But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow." - Churchill, probably
Imagine your a British soldier in a broken building out of ammo your squadmate beside you making jokes as you fire your last mag your bleeding so is he the germans fire and March towards you. You know this is it it's the end your squadmate bleeds out dead it's just you you pick up his handgun fully loaded so is yours you lay there and as the firing stops one last time you run out both guns in hand screaming firing taking shots at everyone you see wounding and killing some and as you run out of ammo you fall to your knees as you look at your body filled with holes as you start to collapse you take one last shot at the commanding officer but as your last act you instead spare him because you notice he and his men are all crying? Why because even though there was no chance at winning you still fought to the very end as you lay there the officer brings over your rifle places it on your chest and holds your hand as you finally lose your life not as a hiding coward but as a brave man fighting for his country. I hope you guys found this little story nice no need to like just read :) also this sory was inspired by a match i had in bf5
My grandfather served in the navy in the war and did not see combat. Then he enlisted in the Parachute Regiment. I never got to see him but he dropped into Palestine and saw some horrendous combat. He raised my father who also joined the army: Royal Signals. I wish I had met my grandfather every day. My mother's father was a mechanic in the Royal Air Force who fixed Hurricanes and Spitfires, another man whom I did not get to meet as he died of Cancer in 1966. Because the Nazis wanted to show that their military was very strong, in Europe. And that was the beginning of the Second World War in Europe. If in Asia, Japan started the Second World War. That so.
What? Sorry brother, what do you mean?
Toriq For Indonesia We just saying about the Movie 'Lord of the Ring'.

BF1
nah, i like flight of pigeon, grace and glory and in the name of tsar more.
In honor of all the friends and randoms that fought beside me in every Battlefield game ever.😔
On bf5 I spent 4 hours trying to complete (I had worked on it on other days ) tides of war and when I finally did it this song played in the background
U deserve it soldier!!
Battlefield gives us a wonderful vision of what the war was and what it meant to our history, to humanity. Please, never forget them. RIP all soldiers!
reminds me of a luftwaffe pilot rising above the clouds to see the beautiful sun shining down on him before he descends into his inevitable death
r/yesyesyesno
Alfie Nuttall what about an allied pilot?
Out of fuel? Or being chased by a Spit and began stalling?

The music of this game was epic.
Rest in peace BFV
Thats cool man.
In wars
Young people fought and lost their lives.
War doesn't take excuses, there is no exception for who should fight.
In a war there never is a true good person.
Americans, Germans, British, Japanese,
They all fought to protect their country.
They all used to be people like us,
They smiled, loved.
They were scared. Scared of war.
They wanted to return back to their families,
To their loved ones.
But war..
War makes us all monsters,
Everyone who fought and killed.
At the times like these, humanity is but a word,
Emotion, a feeling you distantly remember.
At the times like these,
Humanity leaves you.
So we should be thankful,
That other people gave their humanity and lives,
For things we take for granted.
Man I still remember the first day playing and hearing the music for the first time. It just captivated me and I literally just sat there listening. This battlefield had the best sound track next to BF1 and BF4
This could be playing when the allies finally come out seeing that the war is won. Sun rising over their heads. Calm, finality. Freedom.
Not overdramatic. I get chills every time I hear it

its far far from catastrophic , guys chill
It's actually aight for a base game
It seems alright. I'm not hating on the game and franchise as a whole (been playing since 1942). Just certain things to dislike here and there. Best thing about Battlefield is always the music, and I'm glad that they're still as prolific as always! :3
Best BF launch in years. Most BFs were almost unplayable for weeks at launch
Idk, I wasn’t too impressed with this theme to be completely honest. And I know hordes of people will disagree, but I really liked battlefield 1’s soundtrack more. This song feels out of place to me. I guess people like it cause it reminds them of LOTR

@@SpectorEuro4 I guess you are not as patriotic because he fought for freedom and democracy.

This soundtrack makes me miss my home. The sad truth is, I just don't know where that is.
BF5’s soundtrack is absolutely beautiful. Kudos to Dice for making both a remarkable game and fitting music. Not easy to do that, part of the reason I love Battlefield.
I also think that! Did you listen to the flute person breathing before each blow? Gives me chills!
"Grandpa, would you fight again ?" " For you my child, i would do it again"

One of my Irish friends loves this soundtrack song because of the flute
I think most people do that to
100% without question the best part of BF5. I'll deliberately sit in the menu and wait 3 minutes before searching for another game if this song starts playing. Beautiful, and never gets old.

I cried like a bitch when this played after the campaign.
"It’s like in the great stories Mr. de Gaulle. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn’t want to know the end.
Because how could the end be happy. How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad happened. But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow."
- Churchill, probably
