It wasn't an office but more like a library space with big leather chairs, a bar and cigars, things like that. I don't know how that would translate into the sims but...

I have an idea about the family that lives here. The father is a finance bro, politician, conman, or CEO that is obsessed with his cars and his looks (and is probably a wee bit paranoid). The mother is a model/retired model turned fashion designer or even an actress/retired actress and is also obsessed with her looks and money, definitely cares about her reputation too. Stuck up and hard to please. The son is either from the father's first marriage, he wants to pursue a career in either music or streaming, probably has some sort of rebellious streak (or as rebellious as you can get as a pampered rich kid) and doesn't get along with his step mother, might be a bit of a wallflower, also may or may not get along with his half sister. The daughter is very similar to her mother and father, cares about her appearance and is popular amongst her peers, good at getting what she wants, when she wants (think Varuka Salt), may or may not be bit of a brat Feel free to add onto this!
my headcanon for the sim that fell in love with the rebel son of the old money family was like a calm bookish boy with a more "old money aesthetic", like he is also the rebel of his family but in a different way and theyre kinda opposites but in a "You remind me of home" type of dynamic lol
I feel like with the old money house there should definitely be room for grandparents, like the grandparents are the ones who have the old wealth and so they live with the rest of the family.

I love that Pierisims's kit came out just in time for the new money build it's just perfect timing! 💫 For the money trashcan, a new one has been added to the base game after last year's event. That one is less expensive and has no vibrant colors which can be great for a modern build (even if I think the new money family could have bought this one just because it's more expensive 😂)

when you DO get to the old money, a suggestion for you: have a couple of BIG storage rooms/attics with things for all ages of sims. Generational wealth folks don't ever get RID of things. So like, bassinets, toddler bed and toys, clothes and furniture from grandparents, etc. They could literally outfit a new family of visiting sims without batting an eye!
im imaging the story of these families being like; the new money son fell in love with the heiress of the old money fortune, her being all noble/princess like elegant and everything. they met when the new money son was filming a video and their drone fell in the old money’s garden and the heiress found this drone and was fascinated by it, the new money son went to retrieve the drone by climbing over the mossy brick wall only to be caught by the heiress, he gets startled and falls down. the heiress goes to him to check up on him and that is when they lock eyes and fall in love. omg i love their story holy moly
I like to think that the new money is flashy night club owners that also do shady stuff on the side and the old money owns a vineyard/winery kinda also like a country club that’s more prestige and more classy. And both of their places are by each other and old money hates them for the loud music and the flashiness and think they are too loud and the new money thinks the old money are too boring and cranky trying to ruin their fun

Although I don't like modern, I do love the build Syd. I always do. However, i don't know if it's just me, but I don't think the New Money house would have record players. I don't know i just think that seems too vintage and old. They seem more like the stereo, headphones, or speaker type of people. Still absolutely love it! ❤

I don't know i just think that seems too vintage and old. They seem more like the stereo, headphones, or speaker type of people. Still absolutely love it! ❤

I love that this family has dozens of water features because this Sims world is clearly based on an area of the US that experiences devastating droughts each year and it really adds to the level of entitlement. Like... the average person would be preserving water but they don't give af about their water bill or using up precious resources lol Very accurate to what I imagine new money LA is
If you make house holds for these builds, the new money should be a streamer with a crazy looking pet an a gamer partner
