Guys, absolute respect! This is mega! Stunning fabrication and very genuine solutions, especially that tailgate fixing! As much as we love building SQ cars, we also love accurate bass too and this system is just bloody awesome! I'm sure i'll hear it at some point soon! :)
This is incredible! Fantastic job lads! You absolutely smashed it! This is my personal vehicle, and it’s been amazing to be out giving demos again! Thank you so much for all your hard work! I have more content on this build over at my channel, including windy demos 😁
Ported wouldn't have the bandwith. Sealed plays way lower with authority, especially when the owner is in love with the infrasonic range to play all the way down to 15Hz!
@@pssound9749 I've had three enclosures designed by Pete, all did far better SQ than the *Four Car Audio* installations! That, plus the fact that Pete has designed systems that have won at IASACA, and the fact that you don't seem to even know that, shows the shockingly abysmal state of installs in the uk. I haven't seen anyone show design considerations, or even use a software program to do it, beyond insallers use of toy software programs like winisd, hornresp or bass box pro, which Pete obviously doesn't use! ruclips.net/video/tY5ijVq2QzE/видео.html - Acoustic Engineering Workflow
@@jimjones3287 yes, maybe louder, but how loud is loud these days? 10 year ago 160dB was loud, now big boys 170s, but then so what? This system is not chasing numbers, but showing that bass is more than just reading SPL scores. This setup is accurate, tight and has immense bandwidth from all the way down to 15Hz and still being musical at 100Hz too. How many ported setups can do that?
Love this installation, I have a mrv 757 v12 alpine amp and a 12 type x dual 4 ohm , so can that mrv 757 amp do 2 ohm bridged cause it says only 4 ohm briged thank you .
I have a feeling I know the owner of this vehicle.. Did he have a RUclips page a while back and he highlighted the car audio scene in the Uk... I remember him talking about his all alpine build he was working on and it was exactly like this build..I just can't remember his RUclips channel..I remember he was a young fella at the time.. Anyway this thing is amazing and beautiful..I never scene a alpine build this big..it has to be the biggest to date...I bet it sounds amazing.. Have you guys clamped it to see what kinda power it is putting out..
Hey buddy, you are bang on correct, that would be myself :) I have a few new short videos of this build in action over at my channel Really glad you remembered the build from the videos so long back! Thanks so much for leaving the comment here made me smile
@TheCarAudioGuy wow, yeah, it is so awesome to see your build come to a reality..amazing.. I bet it sounds amazing and pounds.. So can you give me a break down of the build.. I'll def look up your RUclips..I shld still be subscribe.
Don't bother with them I've had 2 of them for the money they're sheet I've sold them and bought 2 12 edge extreme a bit cheaper and much more powerful the bass is cleaner and much lower those alpine are more for seal enclosure and punchier bass not for low bass
I had nothing but alpine in my cars, since 1996,they make great electronics but speakers suck,I had them in my car over 4yrs before they blew, then replaced with again top line 6.5s and they blew on a 50 watt per channel head unit, with crossovers,so I put new factory bose in and they sound way better and dont distort at full tilt, and u can hear highs and mids clearly with a 1,250rms ct sounds 10 inch sub and the SQ is second to none,Im now 49yrs old and I have no complaints from head units but speakers r horrible,I will never buy them again, sorry but they had plenty of time to get it right and type r or s r way over rated I will buy d4s or focal components in future, they r wayyy better and sound much better,u can't do better for the money!
Head units are not 50watts rms usually, that's max power so you've probably caused the damage by under powering them and distorting them by maxing out the headunit amp. I've always run comps up front of an amp on hight pass filter with either focal or JL audio
@eugbrat even more reason why these shouldn't have blown,my pioneer double din says 50 watts per channel just reading the box and these junk speakers should handle less than 50 watts on crossovers without blowing, since the eary 2000s and mid 2000s of replacing them with the so called best,s type and r type,I put in new bose in and it's been 6yrs of no issues,so don't make it seem like it's somehow my fault,Again, the head units r great but speakers suck!
the rear screen should have cracked if it was heavy bass and yh its a poxy mg ofcourse shits gunna shake never heard of the subs 1 12" orion hcca can near enough do the same damage 😂😂😂 what a waste of money

it's bogus mate should have put in orion hcca subs and not in a rover or mg wot ever that car is 😂😂😂
Very nice build what's the weight in the back?
I wanna see more of that Amarok
nice clean build
Smart ideas 👍
Very clean build! I’m willing to bet he’ll be back for a ported enclosure in the future.
Ported wouldn't have the bandwith. Sealed plays way lower with authority, especially when the owner is in love with the infrasonic range to play all the way down to 15Hz!
And to think, one decent sub in a properly designed enclosure, designed by Pete aka Hexibase, would kill that lot!
Zero chance! This system is not just about playing for SPL scores, but to have the widest bandwith, accuracy and serious levels too.

probably better performance in the same size box with half the subs and ported.
Depends on what you say performance is. Sealed sounds better.
@triggah1435 performance = efficiency. Ported is louder with less power needed.
ive had both ported box is the way

Yikes dude

Weird

Are these subs still available??
In the UK they unfortunately are not 🥲 not too sure about the USA

I'd take Alpine over the other brand 'That Must Not Be Named'!!!

One day you'll learn to appreciate quality of bass too and you'll look at it more differently than just "how much damage" it can do.
alpine only do the best head units the subs and amps are shit
You're clearly an expert of it.
