@ragedmonke thats fuckin dope! I love seeing kinda haggard shit work out well because I believe if it looks stupid, but it works. Then it aint stupid lol
Your video popped up in my feed. And although this is a very resourceful option. You may run into resistance (ohms) issues as well as power issues. A much better solution is to do your same trick with the speaker leads from the factory subwoofer, pick up the 8” monoprice subwoofer on sale right now for $93 and run speaker cable to the high level inputs on the monoprice subwoofer amp. 🎉 that way. You can control the crossover, phase, and level of the second sub and even keep both running with no resistance issues. You’ll see a ton of powered subwoofers out there with high level inputs you can do this on everywhere I recommend the RSL Speedwoofer 10S (or 12S if you want massive bass). Otherwise monoprice sells a 10”/12” front facing and style for cheap. Basically any powered sub with high level inputs will work the same way you have the skar connected but you don’t use the Vizio sub amplifier. 🎉 good luck 🎉
Man I bet that Skar sounds WORLDS better than that little sound bar sub! For my first home audio build, I used a Skar IX12 and I was completely shocked at how clean and articulate that cheap budget 12 was! The biggest downfall of the IX series (at least for the 12 inch) is that they need a ridiculous amount of airspace to perform optimally. I've seen that sub modeled on WinISD and it needed something like 10 CuFt. To get a flat response 😂
Ýè I probably might do this For my samsung Q990C 11.1.4 Dolby Atoms ⚛️ Soundbar Because I feel like the subwoofer 🔊 cabinet Doesn’t produce as much bass Then Their older model’s do And It’s Probably Because the cabinet is too small And It doesn’t have enough airspace For the subwoofer 🔊 Nò Cáp 🧢

I suggest adding at least a fan on those amplifier's heatsink, they get aircooled passively by the excursion of the woofer... but since you've removed the woofer, it doesn't get cooled anymore and may potentally kill the amplifier
Get yourself a high to low converter and a 12 v power supply and a car amp and it will be a million times better Lol get rid of the wife and adopt an 18 inch version 😂😂of the sub
I would try loading that sub against one of your walls 😄 try rotating it so the sub faces the wall and leave a couple inches. This should fill the room even better 😁 Love seeing this content, I’ve just built a car audio sub for my Monitor Audio speakers and I don’t know why people don’t do it more often 🤣 sounds insane!
Car subs tend to be low efficiency? 80db/W 🤔? It should be less loud?
I'm surprised that soundbar amp even loads that Skar driver.

@ragedmonke yeah unless you can find an offhand one at a yardsale there are no actual budget 5.1 receivers anymore. At least not good ones.
Yep. As long as you run it at 4ohms and get a low rms sub it will work.
I use a 150w Yamaha amp for 800w subwoofer 💀+ two 540w speaker (idk why i don’t buy a normal amp)
Don't take much power to move a cheap sub

I probably might do this
For my samsung
Q990C
11.1.4
Dolby Atoms ⚛️
Soundbar
Because
I feel like the subwoofer 🔊 cabinet
Doesn’t produce as much bass
Then
Their older model’s do
And
It’s
Probably
Because the cabinet is too small
And
It doesn’t have enough airspace
For the subwoofer 🔊

I have a samsung Q990C and plugged the subwoofer behind my couch you should try it it's a whole different experience
Dayton Audio, no I don’t think so. It’s more a Eastech like in many many audio equipement like soundbard. But I may be wrong
i like this men same things i do
Get yourself a high to low converter and a 12 v power supply and a car amp and it will be a million times better

You got crazy lucky when it came to buying that sub because It is now discontinued
You can still get the vizio on ebay.
@ I’m talking about the Skar sub
Oh shit. You’re right.
ive seen the skar subwoofer on amazon
Y know y need the woofer y replaced to be 6ohm also, otherwise is a matter of time that the amplifier will burn
Had this sound bar for years now so if it blows at least she sounded good doing it lol.

Right!!! I have it loading off the wall in the corner now. Had it facing forward for the video. I may try throwing it in a downwards facing box.
what model is the visio bar?
Sb3821
How to make a movie theater
Take all that out and put an 8 box
An SVS or high end subwoofer will blow the Skar sub out of the water
Well of course. They also cost 30x the price of that skar 🤦
dont blow your amp
Shouldnt be an issue. Still working but ill update if it does.
