Nice, the haul on mine got scrapped up. So in the future I would definitely do this . Now, I do live in southern California so I would have to find a shop.
I've had it since 2021. It's a must for our nano FXs. It will also be alot easier to move the ski on your trailer bunks. It slides easier. No speed loss and no handling difference (especially if u have aftermarket sponsons)
@@ObiSkiTV u got it bro. Depending on your riding u may have to redo the front center middle in about 2yrs. That's where u get the most wear. You're gonna like it 👍 and u don't have to worry about the infamous FX delaminating issue anymore
Best thing you can do to a painted Yamaha hull. I use gator glide, but superslick is basically the same type of product. Gator glide is a more complex application process and is more expensive, but is available in colors. Either way this is a must do. And doing a yearly touch up is fast and easy.
@@ObiSkiTV but what about that rubber stripping (keel Guard) that goes under the ski ? should I put gator Glide first? and then the keel guard stripping ?
From a lot of feedback I have seen, Super slick being an epoxy based coating vs water based holds better and lasts longer and another reason is the teflon it has in its mixture as well really holds up.
Thank you for the shout out and the business, I appreciate you, Sir.
Thank you for doing an awesome job!! I appreciate it!!
What grit sandpaper was needed scuff the bottom? And it's just a scuff or do you need to takeoff some paint or clear?
@@bigboyben6 I believe its 100-150 grit sandpaper than wipe down with acetone before applying.
Ahhhhh great addition!!!
Thanks buddy!! Appreciate it
Gary did my 2017 GP 1800. Great job, excellent attention to detail.
Agreed. He did an awesome job and he’s a really cool dude!!
Always love your vids Eddie! Keep em coming!
Thanks brother, really appreciate it!!
I’m very much interested in this. Can’t wait for the follow up on the handling.
Absolutely! I will be testing it out very soon!!
Did the same on mines. Your ski looks exactly like mines now. Hopefully soon I get to go on a ride with y’all.
Absolutely man!! Definitely excited to ride this year!!
I want mines like yourzez
Looks awesome 👌. Wonder if application can be done in various colors to accommodate ski color schemes. 🤔
Yes it can. From what I understand it has to be mixed and most places usually have to order it so it generally runs an extra $100.
I have heard this is a good idea. Appreciate the info as always
Appreciate the support as always!

I definitely advise it!!
Did you ever find a shop? I’m in the socal area also
@@noodle2798 I haven’t even looked yet. Not ready.

I have seen you mentioning it for a while, especially on our hulls. It’s a big reason I decided to do it! Thanks bro

Great video!
Thank you guys!! ❤️

100%
Super slick is available in colors too. I had it done to my ski in March.
when the ski is on the shore does it help make it slide easier on the sand?
Yes it does. Makes a big difference!

What makes super slick better than coat it or other epoxy resins?

Let us know if you feel a difference in handling
You know I will!! Hopefully I can drift even harder!!!! lol To the moon!!💦🚀
I believe I can feel a difference on my GTX 300 with gator glide. I need to do more testing though.
Are there advantages to going with super slick over gator glide?
I’m not able to give you a scientific answer, but I will say most use super slick and from research it seems to hold up really well.

GO BLUE!! 〽️
Did you sand the hull any?
Yes the hull was fully sanded down.
@@ObiSkiTV what grit?
How much does he charge?
He charges $600 for the entire job. Well worth it! He’s really good, and customer service is the best!!
Does this product keep the scum off like anti fouling bottom paint?
Although I’ve just recently added it, I believe so. It really does a great job of protecting your entire hull.
Actually, a textured surface is faster on the water than a slick surface.
Could very well be. I’ll tell you I feel no slow down whatsoever.
Gator glide is better protection and super slick is less labor intensive and cheaper
Both do the job. I’ve heard ones better than the other and vice versa. As long as it’s protecting the hull, I’m all for it
