Heard you this morning while I was mobile in my truck north of Inverness making a nuisance of myself but you popped in between London and Bristol that were both filling my meter.

I bought a Rotel RVC-240 just before legalization in 1981. Great radio, beats a lot of ham radios on FM. Most of the buttons don't do much LOL! I talked to a lot of UK CB FM guys over the winter from here in the midwest. When I bought the 240, they also sold the 220 and 230 at Comet!
Can't believe I just started to watch this video and then thought I would turn on the radio and within minutes I was in a group chat with a few guys in Scotland. I told them how unbelievable is that, thanks for making my day here in cambs

There was certainly some interesting skip on 11m yesterday. I was hearing stations for Scotland, a church service from Northern Ireland and Germans using their channels 41-80 which is the Low band for the rest of us. All this on a KiwiSDR in London.

ive still got my OG rotel 240 from way back in the day. it also had (what they said at the time was mid band modded in) and some boots forgot the wattage, but i still have em and before that we used to play with usb and lsb from a 1970s usa set called stalker lol

It was chaos - My little CRT Xenon at 4 watts was making the trip all over Europe on UK FM channel 31 - 39 on a Sirio Boomerang antenna but so much happening that I could hear people calling back my callsign but could not seperate anything out so many were calling. Gave up after about 30 minutes as I was exhausted lol . 26 CT 3775. 73.
Rotel needs a service its off frequency.
