- Highlights of the Razorbacks wild 55-53 3-OT win over the Jayhawks in the 2022 Liberty Bowl. It was the first meeting between the two squads since 1906 and it was the Hogs record 6th appearance all-time in the Liberty Bowl. Arkansas finished the year 7-6 while Kansas finished 6-7.
Think we need another blown calls compilation for this season, this game would make up half the video. Glad the guys got to go out with a win, WPS
The refs did everything they could in the second half to stop Arkansas and give Kansas second chances. The officiating was horrible. If there had been a decent crew of officials this game ends in regulation with Arkansas cruising to a four quarter victory, 52 to 23. No excuse for officiating this bad.
I agree bad calls against AR. Just awful.
Agreed. In no other game ever was that a fumble. Horrible.
Texas Tech Ole Miss game had the same problem judging from the highlights.
The T-Call on MacAdoo in OT was awful too. Where was helmet? Underneath the other players helmet; his shoulder struck the helmet. But...the bottom line this scenario of Pittmans teams getting a big lead, then sitting on it----giving the opponent encouragement to get back in the game. Can't do that and build winning tradition. Otherwise you find yourself in games like this every week. Put the other away----stop playing not to lose, and being conservative.
On another issue; modern announcers think they are on RADIO and think that we want to hear them constantly talking and filling the air space. They need to shut up more----we can see what is happening!!!!
Arkansas needs to get in that transfer portal and get some safeties, WRs, corners, & rush lineman ASAP! And I mean some actual talent! Not just a body!
All that talent in the portal. If Pittman screws this up, he'll be gone in 2 years. There's enough talent in the portal for Arkansas to potentially win the West next year!
How they let that 4th quarter fumble call stand is beyond me. The ground can't cause a fumble, it was obvious (in the replay video during the game) that he was holding it and the elbow hit the ground causing the fumble. Do they know how many heart attacks they caused? ;- )
That was a bad call
Yep, the refs really tried to get Kansas that win. Even the targeting was questionable, especially when the flag is thrown from the head official, who was not near the play.
@@michaelparsons541 The targeting penalty was ridiculous. The crown of McAdoo’s helmet never contacted anything but air on the play.
@@BipolarAyatollah as bad as I hated the call, to be fair, they changed it from the crown to any forcible contact to the head or neck area. It doesn’t have to be helmet to helmet anymore. Also under the new rule, Arkansas gets to appeal the targeting call. If they win the appeal Quincy won’t have to miss the 1st half of the 1st game next year.
Very bad call.
So no one is talking about Mcadoo hitting the guy so hard he vomited? That was awesome and glad the other player was okay but great hit.
I don't think I've ever complained about the refs on here...but this is going to be a first. I'm absolutely convinced they made some calls with the intent on making the game more exciting at the end.
I think you're giving the refs too much credit in having a motive. Simple incompetence.
I was at the game in the box and we where going crazy surprised we didn’t break the floor WPS❤ GO HOGS
This game was such a big confusing mess, but so was the entire season.
Wow bad calls. But we did it. Great game proud of these young guys. Happy holidays c u all nxt yr. Let's go hogs.
Gotta say warmachine. This was tough to watch bud. Glad we won but damn it didn’t feel good. Just made my head hurt to watch. Either way thanks as always for posting and Woo Damn Pig!
They did everything they could to give Kansas the game but we persevered!
I understand calling a fumble on the field, but someone please explain to me how the hell it got CONFIRMED in replay???
Replay booth guy still hungover from Beale Street would be my only guess.
i was at the game man those refs sucks so bad
Which was the worse call: the “fumble” or the “targeting”?
The fumble, IMO. Targeting can be subjective and it was an awful call, but the fumble call was inexcusable.
@@WARMACHINE2013 I do not like T calls anyway, because of subjective human error in making the call. It has ruined the game for me. That one call was not, MacAdoos helmet appears just underneath the quarterbacks and shoulder pad hits him...ball pops loose...
WPS! I'm REALLY glad we won this one.
Had we gone on to lose after blowing a 25 pt lead...
We avoided being put in the same boat as the Falcons and, as of a week and a half ago, the Colts. We also avoided going 0-4 in trophy games this season.
We started 2022 with a bowl win and end 2022 with a bowl win. And both involved the Hogs getting their first wins over their opponents.
What a game. Keeping alive the long-running Arkansas tradition of multi-overtime games.
9-1 when it goes 2 overtimes or longer! Pretty wild.
Best game i’ve ever attended! We walked out with 3 minutes left.. heard Kansas fans yelling and screaming saying were going into OT.. so we ran back in! Amazing experience with and amazing team. Ima RAZORBACK 4L baby! 🐗🐗
Dude.. I could only imagine the expression on you guys face... Seeing g they somehow tied the game
That was also PI on Harper Cole just before halftime that resulted in a KJ INT. One of the many horrible calls. The officiating was so bad it felt surreal.
Wow great highlights just got home n it was great!! Thank you!
My head and heart from watching this game lol 😂 I already got ptsd from the army, we literally almost pulled a Matt Ryan special 😤😤😭😭🐗🐗🐗
You are a goat for uploading this while basketball is on
I’m speaking of basketball what the fuck is up with those refs on the last play?
Cost us the game on an obvious foul
@@daddyshrek328 fr council got hammered also doesn’t help that we shot 23 3s and shot terrible from the free throw line
ESPN and Liberty Bowl officials didn't want AR to keep beating up on KS, in order to avoid losing viewers. Sp. three OT's kept people glued to the screen a little bit longer.
that targeting and fumble call were so cheap glad they came out with this dub
The PI non-call just before the half was the worst of the bad calls. The Kansas defender deliberately ran into the receiver to keep him from getting to the ball.
How in the hell do you lose a 25 pt lead,.....38-13 with 8:43 left in the 3rd qtr? Glad we won but jeez that is absolutely ridiculous 🐗🏈🐗
Pittman said in the post game press conference that that's when he told Briles "Do what you want." You saw the result: 4 straight 3 and outs. Watch the press conference, and you'll see.
Yes ridiculous to keep repeating this nonsense of getting a big lead, then sitting on it. Why do we think Nick Saban has been successful? Many folks don't like him, I do.
Playing not to lose will be the death of Pittman's career.
GO RAZORBACKs 🐗
Did Arkansas really win? Even I don't know.
Just let 2022 end. Never thought a year with a win to start the year and a win to end the year would be filled with such unease.
Nonetheless, Woo Pig! Keep it up, Warmachine! Happy Holidays! 🐗
Yes We Won
In Fact This Game Shouldve been over in the fourth quarter But Due To The Refs Being Blind As Always Kansas Ended Up Coming Back
Sam needs to get a couple of safeties in the portal. One is a senior captain who ranked 113th out of 114 DBs in the SEC. We’re ok at corner with McAdoo and McGlothern but the rest of the secondary is garbage.
I’m an Arkansas fan, but damn that throw by KU’s qb at the 1:20 mark was so impressive.
Yea he's a baller.
Wow that last play, homie was wide open right in front of his eyes.
The reason we won this game is our many different players brought something to the table. Sam Pittman is the man! Go Hogs in 2023-24.
This was a very poorly officiated game for both teams with bad calls and no calls. Especially in the second half, seemed the refs had a vendetta to make sure Kansas got back into the game. Hats off to both teams dealing with the idiots in the stripes. Glad the Razorbacks got the win. Go Hog's!!!!!
What bad calls went Arkansas’s way
@@scottarivett496 Why are you asking me a question like that? Did you not watch that game?
@@scottarivett496 You serious?
We were there, and left right after the big Landers catch, right before the fumble. As we are walking to the car the crowd behind us erupts in cheers so we turn on the radio. Then had to sit in the car and finish the game on our phones. I’ll never forgive myself for not staying. I mean, that game was OVER! literally just take a knee!
Too much time left to take a knee unfortunately. Had to get one more first down at least.
@@WARMACHINE2013 I gotcha. I just my dad and I would never leave a game early just to beat the traffic unless we knew it was a done deal. I guess we won’t make that mistake again.
@@B1055BH it was a done deal until this crackhead PAC-12 officiating crew got involved lol
Arkansas continues their legacy with crazy overtime games
And we're all glad it was that and not adding on to the tendency of blowing a sizable lead and going on to lose.
Every single ref in that game needs to be fired! That was absolutely unacceptable! Kansas held so much in that game, it was ridiculous they never called any of them.
I thought that perhaps I was the only one who saw all the holding the Kansas players were doing. It’s crazy how much holding the referees allowed them to get away with.
Still the kings of overtime!!
The way things went for us and Kansas this past yr, you would've thought Kansas completed the comeback. As noted on one of Trey Biddy's Hawgsports live shows (from a few months ago?), if something goes wrong during a season, it has its origins from the previous yr.
Had we gone on to lose after blowing a 25 pt lead, we most likely have a new HC after the way last yr went. Pittman's time here would've ended the same way Bielema's did. Trying/failing to shake off blowing a big halftime lead in a bowl game that you went on to lose the yr before, drop a non-conference game vs a Big 12 team at home early in the yr, win back to back games just once all yr, score 40 or more twice all yr, and finish 4-8 with only 1 conference win.
Been watching on fb some people being upset that we went to OT
We played vs Kansas and the refs
Without our #2,3 and 4 receiver
Starting TE and Center
And without rocket sanders
No Drew sanders, Pool, slusher, etc and no defensive coordinator
Love my hogs!!! Woo pig
No excuses!! Hogs find a way to get it done! It’s in our nature 🐗🐗 WPS
The only guys we need are the ones that get on the bus.
Like the BYU game. We beat two opponents today. Not even the refs could deny the Hogs today.
I had flashbacks to an easy four or five previous games where Arkansas was jobbed. It's like this officiating crew watched a select compilation of bad calls against the Hogs and said: "Welllll now: we'll use that one, that one, and man, we'd be crazy not to use those other two...!"
I'm with Trey Biddy on his walk and talk: this crew should never be allowed to ref another game (something along the lines of what happened to the crew that reffed that awful game down in Florida in 2009 only more so).
Someone help me out, WHT was arkansas last score only worth 2 points instead of 6?
Starting in the 3rd OT it's only 2 point attempts the rest of the way. They changed it last year I think in order to keep from these super long OT games for player safety.
Well, at least we still won but the refs were horrible.
Man after a so-so season I can say. if I can have one guy coming back in 2023, gimme KJ 20000/20000 times. WPS. See yall in September.
Bless you for putting this up so quickly... and I won't watch it. If I see that blown fumble call again my blood pressure is going to cause a stroke.
That was no fumble. But, I will say that I'm glad that Kansas is not a football laughingstock now. That program was down for so long, under so many different head coaches. Those boys didn't win but they had a hand in bringing respect to Kansas. Well played, Jayhawks.
Their QB is a stud.
@@WARMACHINE2013 Hogs secondary seemed lost. I felt sorry for them.
@@PintoSixtyLots of Kansas receivers WIDE OPEN--5 yards and more.
@@perniciouspete4986 Agreed. Secondary looked lost.
@@PintoSixty They literally were though. First of all, we only had one string of secondary players, and they were playing a CB/man Safety/zone cover scheme off of a 4-2-5 that we hadn't played any - if ever- this year. It was tactical on Kansas's part that they were doing all of that pre-snap motion with their receivers. They were well aware of the issue.
There’s a formulation of play calls or execution that makes more sense than others. Do I know it, no. Not sure it’s go heavy heavy pass, obviously it’s not lean way to the run but a better play action balance in key spots this whole season or at least the points before the mentality of the collective started to waver might be the answer?
That loss of surprise in offensive execution for quite a few points all season felt like our Achilles. It’s a subtlety. It’s not all trickeration it’s not all run run run, but there seemed to be spots where we had to call a play action pass to sustain drives and we ran ran ran.
The PittBoss said it well in his introductory speech early early on, to play heavy handed bully ball you need crazy good offensive linemen… maybe we were close enough this year to allow us to believe it but not so strong that we could do it always?
Love the heart of this coach and will be so glad when we figure it out.
In this replay that balance is spot on for most of the game, what isn’t shown is those stalled drives in the mid to late third quarter. Ate some clock but sustained drives ending in even field goals would’ve put this one away.
10:12 Yeah, that was defensive pass interference.
They let the DB's cover their men that way tight all night. Oh... except that one PI call against McGlothern that handed them a first down off an uncatchable pass.
High scoring game. Glad the hogs won
The one they called a fumble when it was not a fumble would have ended the game when Arkansas was up 38-23.
That was fun let’s never do that again.
I quit watching pro football due to numerous reasons and now it seems that, with the transfer portal, opting out of bowl games, and poor officiating, they have just about ruined college football for me.
I'm right there with you. If I don't want to watch moneyball on Sundays, why should I tune in to watch PeeWee Moneyball on Saturdays?
I actually watched this game precisely because these appear to be the kids who want to be hogs and I wanted to support them.
Exactly my sentiments. I quit watching pro football for various reasons---one is "no loyalty," no commitment to a team, just a business so gamblers can rack up $$$. This transfer portal is ruining major college football, for similar reasons. Corrupt human nature will turn it into an ugly mess.
I'm not sure which one was going to give me a heartattack or an aneurysm the football game or the basketball game but my goodness I don't think I have ever seen such poor officiating in both games
15:10 NO FUMBLE ! 18:42 NO TARGETING
...also a bogus pass interference call against the Hogs in the endzone that I don't think was shown in this video. While there might have been PI against KU in the endzone that resulted in an INT for ku
It's official, the Pac-12 has by far the worst officiating crew to date.
89 was wide open at the end
This was the stupidest fucking game of all time. Six months later and I'm still mad about it.
I'm guessing you're a kansas fan
@@LennyWatt65 No, I'm an Arkansas fan! This game was ridiculous!
Coincidence, unconscious bias, or something more coordinated?
In the 6 bowl games SEC teams have played thus far the total penalty discrepancy is 28 called penalties for 242 yards for the opponents vs 51 for 492 yds for SEC team. As awful as that discrepancy is, it is the missed calls that have been most damaging. The holding by Kansas o-line was egregious. The couple of holding calls that were made you could see the players were stunned because they had been mugging the d-line the entire game, why were they flagged for it now? I even found myself feeling sorry for Lane Kiffin! Ole Miss got jobbed way worse than the Hogs. On top of the nearly 2 to 1 penalty/yardage discrepancy, I saw a running back tackled by his face mask in the open field (no call) and on the late 2 pt conversion try that would have made it a 1 score game, the receiver couldn’t lift his arms to catch the ball because he was being tackled before it got there. No call.
I don’t like the SEC chances of winning any more bowl games unless they can blow them out (like Tennessee) and mostly remove the officiating problem from the equation.
Everyone is talking about the officiating (and perhaps rightfully so), but what in the hell was that onsides kick? All of our front guys were going for blocks(?) and not the goddamn ball? LOL, terrible terrible, the refs had nothing to do with that shit.
Pittman said in the post game press conference that the players weren't coached enough for that situation.
Junior high footballers know better than to not pounce on an on sides kick. No excuse for that.
I like the targeting call in 2ot just so that this game didn't have to end. It was obvious that's why they called that BS
Worst officiated game I’ve ever seen, and after having Auburn refs cheat us that’s saying something
The coaches should be ashamed of themselves for letting up so soon and letting Kansas back in this game!!!!! Im so sick and tired of Razorback coaches who lack killer instinct to put a game away🤦♂️
I will say this thankfully we had #1 and #6 because they put it on them when we needed it.
That targeting call almost made me want to quit watching college football. That ref should get ridiculed in the McDonald's line for breakfast tomorrow. Ref's need to be replaced with automation across the sport. My dog could officiate better and would look better doing it.
Officiating bad on both sides, but late in the second quarter seemed there was an agenda, against Arkansas, once the Hog's got a big lead, with the lack of penalties against Kansas and the number of drive ending penalties and no call penalties against Arkansas. Seemed someone must have told the refs that a blowout would ruin the ratings and to make the game close.
WPS
I am just glad Coach Conservative didn't cause the players who gave there all to lose the game. Why does this coach start killing the clock late 3rd quarter? Then when he needs to run out the clock, we do razzle dazzle. It's beyond me.
17:30
Number 18, defense. wtf?
Yep
Yes Arkansas we won but why did you let them come that far back to tie the game
Because a fumble that wasn't a fumble happened. Game would have ended as a comfortable 15 point win otherwise.
@@WARMACHINE2013 At least 15. 18 or 22 pt win had we scored on that drive and we keep Kansas from getting late garbage pts.
Those Pac-12 officials SUCKED! Pathetic and egregious officiating! Hopefully that crew is suspended at the beginning of the 2023 season. Glad the Hogs won.
The fumble that wasn’t and the targeting that didn’t happen. Still just as bad as last year. 😂
Go Hogs!!! Hey refs sorry but we kicked yalls ass and Kansas ass in the end
Purely manufactured drama by the refs. Great fight by Kansas, but they should've never had a sniff.
The officials are the same as they were, and every year that Arkansas plays. This game doesn't surprise me at all with the officials. SEC Officials are corrupt, year after year.
This was a PAC-12 crew.
Pitiful officiating.🤮🤮🤮
Horrible game overall.
The ending was rigged. Stupid Vegas
The only important bad call was the last bs fumble
No, the PI non-call just before the half was important and obvious, plus it cost Arkansas a touchdown.

Yea, Trey Biddy mentioned that holding issue in his walk and talk.
