Can’t believe Kansas took the ball out of Daniels hands on the last two point conversion. Mr. Bean missed a wide open receiver.
It was a well drawn play that probably works more often than not. Probably statistically had a more accurate chance of working than another play for Daniels. KU had already used a 2 pt play, they were probably way down their list of things to run.
If Bean throws to #89, there's a chance of a TO because he has to float it over two Arky defenders, but he still likely converts if he throws that ball. That's probably a 70% chance of success there. I think what happened is Bean the backup, momentarily forgot where he was, the situation. This was a one-off play. I think he had a brain fart and momentarily thought it was 1st and goal from the 5 and although he had a good chance at conversion, he didn't want to make the risky toss when he knew(in his mind) that he had 3 more tries. So instead of floating it to #89, he threw the ball away. That's the only explanation I can make, because he floated that last toss 15 feet over the KU receiver's hands. That was a throw away if I've ever seen it. You can see his body language as soon as he lets go of the ball, he realizes what he did. He went through the motions and temporarily forgot this was a one-off play.
As an Arkansas fan who was there from 70 minutes until kickoff to the final play, this game might have shortened my life span by a few years. I’ve never seen the mood of a crowd change some much within five minutes.
You should have watched the celebration bowl
THE BEST GAME I’VE EVER ATTENDED! GOO HOOGGGSSS!!!
Same I was there. And then we left with 2;00 to go. So I’m just standing there outside the stadium watching holding my ark champs shirt u had just bought 😢
I was an Arkansas fan at the game as well, and in the words of a drunk person behind me "THIS IS THE WORST OFFICIATING IVE SEEN SINCE PEEWEE!" and I agree with her
y
Bro had a wide open receiver in the end zone
Bro was seeing ghosts
bro was ghost hunting
Honestly I think he didn’t realize it was a 2 pt conversion. He thought it was multiple downs cause that looked like a throw away. Worse time for a trick play.
@@Myfkduplilworld no way. I think it was just a 1 read play or he just got stuck on that one player. Unfortunate because the guy on the delayed release got wiiide open
Bro wide open
As a Kansas fan, it was fun watching come back from an embarrassing deficit. We got some work to do but I’m proud of the team. Kudos to Arkansas for sealing the deal and winning.
That last play...number 89 was the first one he's supposed to check down and was wide open for an easy throw...he really choked
Would’ve still been a blowout if they didn’t call that fumble when our players elbow was clearly on the ground
@@tylerwaynelarue Oh, bs. Crying about officiating marks you as a crybaby. Arkansas went to sleep on a team that never quit. Period, end.
@@torpedo58 No the refs called a lousy game. This has to be the worse officiated bowl game in history. Credit to Kansas for still playing to the end. Had to be fun for Kansas, especially when the refs are giving them every chance to stay in the game. Without a doubt, all things equal, the refs calling a good game, Arkansas easily wins in regulation.

After the Hogs being up 31-7, I'd never thought it'd even go to OT much less end in triple OT!! Game of the decade for the Razorbacks 💯
I was there. Left 38-23 2min left. Guess you never leave a college game early lol
I almost left then was like ‘well I’ll stay and just wait for traffic to clear out before I drive away.’ Then I had about 9 heart attacks
I promise brother same! We ended up running back into the stadium! Classic
That's why it's better to watch a game in TV. Lol
The most stressful night of my life.
Apparently you are too young to know what real stress is yet . In 20, 25 years , this statement will be laughable to you and you will wish that this is the most stressful thing in your life...haha
I'm still shocked at their records. I thought both were better than 6 -6
They were/are.
The Razorbacks lost 4 of their 6 lost games by a combined total of 9 points. I don't know the story for the Jayhawks.
Ku is improved from the last 12 years of embarrassment but still suck lol
@@amrak63 They went 5-0, lost the next few, beat Oklahoma State to become bowl eligible, and finished at 6-6

Dude was open af on that final 2pt attempt lol Idk who tf he tried to throw to. Still fun game.
Umm...the guy in the KU jersey in the endzone. Trouble is, he threw it about 15 ft. over his head. But year, the TE 89 was WIDE open. Still Ark. got hosed by the stripes, and I HATE saying that in general, but I'm glad they won in the end.
Daniels missed the TE on the targetting 2 pt attempt who was wide open, then the last 2 pt attempt the guy was standing WIDE open. Fire it in there!!
@@porterwake3898 on the last play it was a WR trying to make the throw.
@@bitterbob30 Bean is KU’s backup qb that started half the games this season, not a wr even tho he looked like it on that play lol
I took the over at 71. Insane ending allowed it to hit. What a great football game
Smart bet
Proud of my Jayhawks... Took a huge step forward this season!!
Jefferson could be like a Dante Culpepper with the right coaching in the NFL should he choose to go. So much talent.
That might be the most accurate comparison I've seen.
Kansas sure waited a long time to get started. And 3-OTs! Crazy. College football.
KU was notorious last year for slow starts. They were down 3 scores to WVU before winning that game, down two scores and Houston had the ball, before they scored 28 unanswered points to take control of that game. They were down 3 scores against Baylor before coming back in the 4th quarter and nearly winning that game.
Slow starts killed KU. Particularly defensively. KU's defense was an atrocious 1st half defense, but not terrible in the 2nd half after making adjustments. But this slow start was more due to turnovers. Jalon Daniels was still shaking off the rust from being injured the 2nd half of the season. The Jalon Daniels you saw in the 2nd half was more like the Jalon Daniels that led KU to a 5-0 start.
I was cheering like crazy for Kansas. Incredible comeback! But that targeting call was atrocious! Absolutely terrible! And the fumble with 3 minutes left the Razorback player was clearly down. I could live with the bad call on the fumble, but the targeting call was brutal. It would've been tough to lose that one if you're Arkansas.
For ratings I guess . The zebras def prolonged the drama
Life of an Arkansas fan. Thx for seeing what I see.
Incredible comeback? It's easy when the refs carry you
@@tuckerhiggins4336 Bingo!
@@twtarmo1270 I don't know how much more I can handle it. My heart was breaking last night. I'm really starting to dislike watching because of how screwed we get. That auburn game will forever be in my nightmares.
I was looking for the Kansas-Arkansas basketball game but i had to give this another watch! It would be really cool if Arkansas and Kansas somehow ended up in a regional or super regional together in baseball as well... just as long as Arkansas wins that too!
What kind of play was the last play of the game???? You out all of this pressure on this kid who looks like he has never thrown a pass in his life. Lol
Way to go, Hogs!!!
Yeah, they beat TWO teams tonight--the Jayhawks AND the questionably competent officials. 🤬
SEC: It just means more.
Wow. What a game. Let’s be fair to Kansas though, Jalon Daniels was on a Heisman pace until he got hurt early in the season. If that doesn’t happen KU is in a better bowl, with a better record
Unfortunately Daniels had some rust in the 1st half. The 2nd half was much more like the Daniels we saw the first 5 games of the season.
Vegas is really smart. Arkansas-3 1/2. Arkansas wins by 2. Crazy
Five years ago, KU football was dead in the water. As an OSU Cowboys football fan (who saw firsthand KU beat OSU in Lawrence), I was rooting hardcore for KU to win. Kudos to the Jayhawks for fighting to the end, even if it didn't go their way. It takes a lot to go into such a high scoring triple overtime.
Jefferson looks like cam Newton in this game for some reason
Big guy who has a cannon and is a hard runner. They are similar players as well
He's a way better passer.
As an Arkansas fan, I’m happy about the win and how many interceptions we did. But we should have won that game in the 4th quarter. We never should have gone in 3 OT. But overall, great game! WPS!
Agreed. But they were driving for at least a makeable FG when they got hosed by that fumble that wasn't a fumble. Seriously, wtf's the point of replay if you're not going to go by the rule book and instead make arbitrary calls that are no better than the initial one?
Your coach sucks!! Your secondary sucks!! Your team has NO CLUE regarding CLOCK MGMT!! Kansas was out of timeouts!! Doing a reverse with a receiver? I guess that was a receiver who they WRONGLY ruled fumbled with 3 minutes left. But WHY do that play with a 15 point lead AND Kansas can't stop the CLOCK?? Could've just kneeled on 2nd and 3rd down...took off 80 seconds...then kick a fg...and an 18 point lead with under 2 minutes left. What a coaching FIASCO!!
Are hog fans going to throw a parade like last year?🤣🤣
@@kevinlakeman5043 that dumb call didn’t need to be called

Clearly targeting and unnecessary. Play stupid games get stupid penalties.
@@jefflarson1652 Bro, not targeting. They're clearly trying to stop a guy from scoring to extend the game. That was an atrocious call.
@@tjmckenzie4048 Yeah, because it isn't like they're trying to get rid of blatant head shots to a ball carrier that is already down. Good call homer.
@@jefflarson1652 1 he wasn't defenseless 2 he didn't lead with the head 3 he was making a football move 4 I guess you think it's easy to stop someone's forward momentum on the goal line? I guess you think he should've just let him score? "homer"
I must give the Jayhawks their due. They never quit.
However, while I don't think the officials were cheating, I do think they blew several calls.
The only team the refs screwed was Arkansas. In fact, they almost cost Arkansas the came on two big terrible calls. the Jayhawks have nothing to complain about. Without the refs help, Kansas would have lost by over two touchdowns.
As a KU fan I think the refs blew calls on both sides (especially in the first half) but Arkansas definitely got the worst of it. Arkansas played really well and definitely deserved the win.

Horrible officiating
End of the game, gotta get that 2 pts, and u put it in the hands of the backup QB.. who misses a HUGELY wide open #89, then throws it out the back of the end zone. This game was exciting, but 2 obviously 6-6 teams.
Sometimes I think I like college football better than the NFL, they tend to score more, which makes it more exciting!
College football is 10x times better
Thing is nfl competition is pretty evenly matched each week college there’s a big gap between teams
It's way more exciting than the NFL. Bunch of babies in the nfl. All I watch is college. Especially since the NFL went all woke
Way more exciting then the pros
the nfl gives us better quality and better players. i personally like college more but the nfl has a much better post season. in the nfl, every team has a chance to win the big one. in college a team like boise state, UCF, or whatever mid major has ZERO shot because it is run by biased pollsters
10:30 mark has one of the best crowd reactions of the season 😂😩
This was a good high scoring bowl game it was the highest in Liberty Bowl history, he looked right at him in threw the ball out of bounds 🤦 both teams defenses are not good but they put up some high numbers in this game congrats to the razorbacks on winning.
Yep....if you like pathetic defense (or watching basketball pass as football) this was a "good game". Yeah, I know....I'm just a sour puss who likes to watch good defensive play. I guess with modern football rules that isn't possible unless you can recruit Georgia, Alabama, or Ohio State levels of talent.
My only explanation for that last play was the KU QB momentarily had a brain fart and forgot the situation. I think he was going through the motions and momentarily thought it was 1st and goal and he had 3 more tries, so didn't want to risk the turnover that might have happened if he floated the ball over the Arky defenders to #89. He probably makes the play if he makes that throw, but that could also end up being a turnover. So he threw the ball away thinking he had 3 more chances.
Arkansas's execution on that on-side-kick actually made me laugh out loud with a horrified scowl on my face.
Yeah, it was as if they had never practiced for one except how to block. Only ONE player to get the ball and he acted scared of it.

Jay hawks + the refs, couldn't get it done tonight. The refs should have wore red and blue instead of black and white.
The Refs tried their best to screw Arkansas out of the win. It almost worked. Good job Arkansas for hanging tough against the Zebras.

What a game this was. Ar Kansas vs Kansas. Incredible.
arkansas vs kansas + refs
Throwing without setting your feet will cause the ball the sail like on the final play.
He throws like that all the time and very accurately. He throws well on the run.
I think what happened is he forgot the situation. He thought it was 1st and goal and that he had 3 tries left. He knew he had a play on #89, but there were two Arky defenders in the passing lane so he would have had to float it. If he throws it, it's likely a score, but there's a risk for an INT there as well. In his mind since he thought it was 1st and goal, the didn't want to take the risk and figured they'd have a more sure thing with 3 more chances. So he threw the ball away. As soon as the ball left his hands he realized what he had done, if you watch his body language.
Bro jason bean threw the game away he ain’t getting drafted now

Honestly at some point what can you do when the odds are against you
Arkansas won with only 48 players and against horrible refs
SEC: It just means more.
Several blatant bad calls nearly costed Arkansas the game.
#1) Missed pass interference call on Kansas defender that allowed him to intercept the ball before halftime. Arkansas would have scored again before halftime.
#2) Personal foul on Arkansas offense after getting attacked by Kansas defenders who initiated it. Arkansas would have scored again.
#3) Pass interference called on Arkansas defender for stopping an endzone pass where he never touched the reciever. Kansas scored a TD after after that.
#4) Fumble called on Arkansas RB when he was down on an elbow. Arkansas would have scored again and put the game away.
#5) Targeting called on Arkansas defender for stopping a 2 point conversion run. Arkansas would have won the game there.
