All these ranked teams struggling is making me feel better about my UW Huskies chances. I'm not saying they're going to win a title or anything but 9-3 doesn't seem impossible. The Huskies have only played two cupcakes so far but at least they soundly beat them both unlike most of the top 25 so far this year. It really looks like there's 3-4 really good teams and everyone else is very beatable.
Why? They've not been a conference ever, yet still is a perennial contender. There are plenty of teams in conferences that have never even sniffed the playoffs, and still won't with 12 teams. Joining a conference solves nothing.
ND definitely got homecooking like always. The refs marked the NIU RB down a yard short of the 1st down marker when he clearly made the 1st down on that game winning fg drive!

If you are judging by their situation, 2 games (1 loss) is not nearly enough to declare anyone out. Even 2 loss teams still have a path forward. But, if you are judging by their performance against an inferior (in talent draw only) team, then yeah, things look grim because that could translate into more losses. Time will tell.
Sports producers/directors suck anymore. The ones doing NASCAR races are the worst. After a 3 hour race they show the start finish line for like 3 seconds and then start showing the winners team and the winner driving around. I would like to see the start finish for at least 15 to 20 seconds.
Lagway looked really good, similar to Nico against the overmatched team that Tennessee played in week 1. Yeah it was a completely outclassed opponent, but you can just tell when someone has 'it' and he seems to. Pinpoint accurate passes at all 3 levels of the field. We'll see how much PT he gets against The Cult this week since Napier seems fixated on starting Mertz... Also as far as that 'trailing at halftime but winning with no offense' stat - I'd be willing to bet the Bears own at least 2 of those games, if not all 3, considering that infamous 2005 super bowl run with Rex Grossman at the helm.
Need a little more respect for Oklahoma State... not in your top 10 of big wins when you have Nebraska over an exposed Colorado team. And if not that, the Arkansas and Oklahoma St should have been mentioned as one of the most exciting games of the week 🤷🏻♂️

They're always overrated and haven't won a national championship in 36 years. If they played in the SEC, they'd finish around .500 every year. This has been true for the past 30 years. Since the departure of Lou Holtz, their head coaches always seem phony and create what appears to be a soft/feminine atmosphere. They seem to be far more worried about offending rather than saying/doing what's necessary to win. Sorry ND fans...pretending the program is competitive against the elite teams won't make it so. The truth shows itself on the field every year.
