they actually made this look easy. such a complicated task, i can't even imagine how much preparation and knowledge goes into it. but they really made this look about as smooth as i can imagine this would ever be.
It starts by the architecture of its design, then engineering firm building it,and the boilermaker who builds it I am a qualified boilermaker, and have built massive steel structures for the gold mines headgears and underground steel structures,
If you watch one of the ALE videos, on one of their loads. They had to get on the motorway going, like the above, on the wrong side of the motorway, the guardrails in the middle had been taken away, so that the load could travel straight onto the correct side of the motorway. Brilliantly done, and with a load that was double what this one was towing
It's full of copper, iron, oil possibly for cooling and a load of other very heavy materials. Even little domestic ones that you can pick up with one hand are a lot heavier than you would expect them to be.
Id love to know more how they do this , how does the truck at the front get the truck at the back to push/ brake . What about control of the load carrier, I see a person sat on that ????
Tractor in front kind of leading the way, the guy on the front part of the trailer steers that part, guy in the cab on the back part of the trailer steers only those axles, and the guy in the pusher tractor just drives that. It's basically just everyone watching the guy in front of him and of course listening to what the lead driver is saying on the radio.
Does the transformator really weights 450t??? Or the complete transport unit? 2 trucks 8x4 for 450+ sidelift device+ thp sl plattform units plus trucks is nearly 620t! Doubt that! Anyhow, nice capture and pro team!
The came up the m6 north bound and came off on junction 22 of the m74 just after Gretna junction onto the A75 then the trucks swapped sides and came back onto the motorway rejoining the m6 at Gretna, the the stopped on the motorway pulling the unit up the on ramp at junction 45 of the m6 (which is Gretna junction
I think its because it is heavy but by using a long trailer set up they can get the weight spread onto all the axles, its too heavy just to have wheels underneath it.
To know that at Gornya Shora, the Prehistoric race there, perhaps 50-100,000 years ago effortlessly moved cut blocks up to 3000 tonnes. They never used the primitive wheel. Look it up. The above is primitive.
These heavy haulage companies don’t have a clue! For a start why that monstrosity of a trailer with lots of wheels, the size of the loads aren’t that big just the weight so stick it on a flat bed or low loader much easier
Sarcasm or are you trolling? Size doesn't matter, it's the weight that counts. An artic truck carries 44t on 6 axles, that load is reported to be 450t how do you think that's going on an ordinary lowlader trailer?
@@MrPaw45 ignore him, sounds like a troll, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why a load bearing trailer of that specification was pulling it.
Impossible I am a qualified boilermaker, it's impossible, you need profile cutters to cut the steel, coded welders, just the drilling holes in the steel you need needle size perfection drilling 🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️ You need a massive building with overhead cranes running on rails to pick up the structure,
@ImieNazwiskoOKtotally agree,I'm a qualified boilermaker, and believe me that is precision engineering, you need profile cutters to cut the steel, coded welders,

beautifully done, no shouting or drama, they just did it

That is the first time I have seen a road load with a 'banker' at the rear like a railway train!
5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the engineer who designed it, and to rhe boilermakers who made it 😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉
Bloody SAT Navs……always sending trucks the wrong way 😢
The shipping team must be very professiona
Wtf would never Imagined that would weight 450 tonnes, very Impressive

@DanBowkley Thanks for that , quite simple tech wise , needs good team work .

I wish this was available in RC toy size. Id be the biggest kid with the biggest toy on the smallest block.
If you go look online you will be surprised what you find to buy in radio control, in Germany you find massive RC trucks online
Good catch sir
Thank you
Nice one. What do you reckon the mpg of these lorries is?... 😂
Nice job

The transformer it’s self.
How did they come up this junction the wrong way, did they come up M6 and cross carriagways onto southbound?

I bet the pikeys could have that away within 35 minutes in a 1998 Ford Transit
well done

Density. It may look small but it weighs 450 tonnes. twice as much as a 5 car commuter train (BR class 221)
😂😂😂😂
@malkyrf yes, it's to spread the weight evenly
450t total I suspect
Yes total weight

Probably would have been easier to build that on site
Explain, in detail, how that would work.
