That will absolutely be an easiest shortcut to Enable or Disable Fn Key but not sure if that will work on all the models. All Readers, let us know by Liking or Commenting on this particular comment so other may know about this shortcut.
i almost started crying when my function keys werent working and was gonna buy a new one, so thank you, you helped me save cash, AND I learned something new.
Change the Fn key lock on the Lg Gram laptop: 1. Go to the 'Lg control center" (which can be accessed by pressing 'F1' on your keyboard) 2. Then go to 'System Settings' 3. Scroll down to 'Hotkey mode setting' 4. The setting will be on 'Not use' -> change to 'Use' to turn off the Fn key lock. hope this helps. It took me a while to figure this out lol :)
@@Se7enCirclez I did not enter anything manually. I also don't know how to. I just changed the hotkey setting on my LG device. Maybe try search "Lg control center" on the search bar beside the window key on the your screen. Then follow the steps from step 2. maybe this will work.
This is just superb, I've been looking for "what is the difference between keyboard and piano?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Penaycer Rudimentary Preponderance - (do a search on google ) ? It is a smashing exclusive product for discovering how to play the piano easily without the headache. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my cousin got excellent results with it.
Thank you for telling me what fn does. Not only was I able to know what it does, but I have lost the pain on trying to see what (button)+F 1-12 does. :)
i do not like having to do anything in the bios screen. i feel like i am going to break something. Anyway, i'll give it a try later. Thank you Mr Teacher. It was a very helpful and informative tutorial. Plus i have added another arsenal to my knowledge of the fuction keys i.e F11 can be used to minimize and maximize screens. Who knew? ;)
Some people says that pressing Fn+Esc key directly enable/disable Action Keys right from Windows. Try that and also read the fellow comments then you might not need to modify the BIOS.
I already know how to use the function keys without the fn key I just wanna know how to set it up as my defaults because it keeps resetting everytime I turn on/restart my laptop :/
My volume up key is misbehaving and this is the only way I can make sure it doesn't press by itself I feel like this is actually going to work,I wanna appreciate you because I've not everything and my volume keeps increasing on its own ,this way I have it under control now
Some laptop when you're in the Bios settings, the top bar would show "Main" instead of "System configuration" and you'll need to go to the "Function key behavior"
As I said in the tutorial, if you are using an App like Tally ERP 9 then most of the users of Tally don't use Mouse instead F1 To F12 shortcuts. So, if someone working 8 hours as an Accountant then he might not like to press 2 Keys every time. Hope you got my point.
the problem i use all in one hp keyboard on another pc and i cant enable or disable fn i need to press and keep press fn key to use the keyboard normally
I keep losing my shortcut keys, like control c, control a, control v. Do you have any idea what is going on? I have tried everything to fix it, but it will not work. This seems to happen every now and again, so maybe I'm hitting some combination of keys by accident? I know this is a different subject from your video, but if you know off the top of your head would you be good enough to share? Thank you so much.
Usually those shortcuts doesn't require any other combination of key to be pressed. You should try disabling the Fn key from BIOS and then see if that works. You should also look into the System tray near time and see if any keyboard shortcut utility is running or any other app which has the same keyboard shortcuts for other purposes. Exit all those applications and then try using those shorcuts.
my computer is opposite, my games will do the action when I want the fkey instead unless I use the fn key to disable the 'bright, volume, mute etc. etc. etc. My games have my 'troops' in groups that are fkey fn-number, keys to select. In game it is a bugger to have to find the fn key every time I want to select a 'squad'...
Hi, it doesn’t work to disable the Fn keys. There might be something wrong with the keyboard, but i’m unsure, cause when i do that it shows up window instead.
For dell windows 10:
Press and hold fn+ fnlock or esc
For both enable or disable.
