The 2019 Honda CBR 650 R is a good looking bike and has the go to match the show. However, the stock exhaust just does not cut it - it sounds too tame, too mild. Well, that’s what the owner of this particular bike thought and wanted a bit more bark from the exhaust.
The solution: Getting one of the best slip-ons available for it on the planet.
Enter Austin Racing.
This specialised UK brand is one of the most premium looking and arguably the best sounding exhaust in the business. Well, it was founded by a musician, but this is not the time or the place for a trivia session.
Most modern bikes now come with a huge collector box with a catalytic converter (cat) inside due to stringent emission norms, and these collector boxes are welded to the header pipes. So installing a slip-on exhaust is not all that simple anymore if you want to de-cat your bike.
The headers and the collector box need to be separated by cutting them apart.
Good thing is, my friends at Speedmonks Performance Centre happen to be Austin Racing dealers - among many other brands - and pretty good technicians too.

Oh yes, that's how that Honda 4 Cylinder should sound. Honda 4 cylinder bikes sound super sweet with an aftermarket exhaust. Just recently i rode a CB1000R with an Akrapovic exhaust. It was pure eargasm. You just feel like revving it to max just to hear that exhaust Sing.

Wow man it sounds awesome. Its sounds better than some 1000cc's. What wonderful sound it is producing. Definitely didn't expected this because Austin's are just of a loud type of exhausts but this one producing a proper supersport kind of sound. Loved it 😍 and also I'm waiting for v3 video

I have bought the front upside down suspension from the international model and it is lying at someone's house in Jakarta. Shipping it is more expensive than flying down. But I am not finding any time to travel. Also, whenever I come, I plan to pick up a big bore kit as well.

I just bought a cbr650. Looking at exhaust options. Looks good. Sounds awsome....only concern is there appears to be no hanger supporting it??
Hey Anhinav. That sounds awesome. Loved it. But as some people said it's installed as full system exhaust which is true. The collector box is taken off completely. How did you remap your ECU and air flow?
I don't think anything was done. Also, I never followed up with the owner so I have no clue whatsoever

As much as i love a 4 cylinder with aftermarket exhaust.....i will never change my stock exhaust when i upgrade to 600cc (planning on zx6r next year)
I do a lot of touring on my rr310....and long distances too.
Sportbike touring is a challenge in itself.....and having a very loud exhaust will tire you out so fast you cant imagine.
Our last trip was of around 1400km in 4 days....and a buddy of mine who has toured way more than me on his rr310 and had just installed full system akrapovic exhaust on his bike just the day before our trip....got extremely fatigued on 1st day and had cramps all over his body and a headache so intense he had to take sleeping pills to fall asleep.
So if you are into touring...try to avoid loud pipes!!!!

Hello there, i just have a question 🙏🏼 since the CAT is out , does it affect the engine? running with a straight slipon ? Does remapping of the ECU required?
Best thing is to have it professional calibrate re Ajuste that to make sure the engine is fallowing proper performance after this smart n quick switch

You might want to check with your dealer about the warranty. And even without the Power Commander, your engine should make a tad more power.

Even the stock exhausts on these bikes are 2-3 times louder than normal commuter bikes. Either one has to listen to it in personal or just use headphones to have a correct feel of the sound
