Defense played with energy and communication and it showed! Not just with a win, but with 7 sacks and ton of TFL's a pick and several big stands. Go Nole Defense! It's great to see the team starting ro gel and I think this win will provide huge motivation and take a ton of despondency off the shoulders of these kids. They are just young people. We have to be supportive. There are a lot of problems. But let's give credit as much as we criticize.
They're not kids. They get paid great sums of money so they have jobs to do. They are not bagging groceries at Publix as "kids" would do. They are young men that are expected to perform their jobs to meet and preferably exceed the goals set before them by the coaches. The days of calling college players "kids" went out the door with NIL. I have always referred to them as young men anyway.

We were absolutely raked over the coals on 3rd down with multiple blown assignments. I have no idea why #24 and #9 are still getting playing time. MJJ actually had a strip sack to seal the game but instead finishing the play by realizing he had a strip sack, his gets up to celebrate…. You can’t make this 💩 up!
Offense just looks clunky. Nothing looks easy. Defense played great, 5 is a stud! 11 is getting there, 7 may have found something? 33 and 16 were a nice spark!
The missed throw to Benson was absolutely inexcusable. Man it’s crazy. Like how? He had 10 yards of cushion to put the ball and he does the only thing you can’t do…. Overthrows him…. By a mile. But then again he hit Douglas for the would be game winner on a beautiful throw. I love the win but hate this offense. It’s weird.
Yeah it would be nice for Brock to get a warm up. He hasn't ever been put in a good position. Broke his hand and missed most of last fall. Had to start in the ACC championship game in the cold rain with a team of injured players that didn't help him out. Then had to play against Georgia with no support. Probably will get thrown in against clemson while we're down 4 scores.
This offense has done better going vertical, passing vertical, running vertical, but for some reason Mike keeps calling screens and reverses, backwards passes, and counter. It doesn’t work yet he still calls it. Our most successful drives have came from running up the middle and then using that to pass vertical. Man Mike is sleep walking through this season.
Mike thought getting that raise made him think he’s a great coach. DJ’s dad must of threaten Mike with a baseball bat to his knees if he didn’t play his son because he sucks

I have to think that Norvell would not be starting DJU if he felt that his job was on the line. Subconsciously, I think him knowing his job is secure is affecting his decision making.

I honestly don’t think the receiver room is bad or even mediocre. They need development for sure but the problem lies in the QB. Brock doesn’t give you the experience but he would give you more athleticism at the position and provide a spark. This current iteration of the offense seems lazy and clunky.
Darrel Jackson is the biggest letdown ever. The epitome of looks like Tarzan plays like Jane. Man if he was a dude this defense could be damn good. Edwin Joseph is a dog. Quindarrius is getting there. Peyton is waking up. Mjj got a couple sacks on his first day of playing Real football. But man we need Jackson to care. He doesn’t care. It’s soo annoying.
