    I noticed the increase on offensive pace early in the game. I feel that is the right calls and doesn’t allow DJ to overthink the reads. I also think the more snaps the offense has, the less important individual play success rate becomes. In the previous 3 games with less snaps it magnifies the importance of execution of each play which this team struggles at currently.

      Well, to be fair, Jai Kai Douglas was in Norvells first class and he caught the game winning TD against Cal. Kalen Deloach came in the year b4 Norvell but stuck around. He scooped up that game saving td last yr against Clemson. Duffy and Tate, both recruited by Norvell, did suck though. Pat Payton, our best, de, was recruited by Norvell. AZ and Shyheim, two of our best dbs were recruited by can. Our bust rate maybe a little high, but it's not much more than other schools.

    • @tlobrill1
      @tlobrill1 3 дня назад

      @@robertfleischer-g8f I think from a recruiting perspective, being in year 5, the bust rate is way too high, especially considering the classes were not too great to begin with. Almost all of the main contributors that led up to and included the 13-0 run were transfers. Miami is taking a similar “all in” approach this season as fsu did last year, however our freshman are getting a ton of burn. Lyle (rb) got two series against UF and remains in the rotation with a 91 yd td last game. . OJ Fred is starting CB. Justin Scott is getting in the mix. I can already tell you who is likely going to be the players to step into roles next season based on how we’ve played our freshman. Last year fsu had the least amount of freshman snaps in the Acc. That IMO shows norvell either recruited too poorly to trust his young players or is poor at development so they were not ready, which is a large part for the 0-3 start.

    • @robertfleischer-g8f
      @robertfleischer-g8f 3 дня назад

      @@tlobrill1 Fair enough. It is what it is. You have recruited some good young players and they are getting playing time. But the Canes also probably have the highest (or one of the highest) NIL payouts in the nation. So let's not get too smug about your sudden surge to the top. We lost out on some of the top recruits in the nation due to NIL (Travis Hunter ring a bell). If we had your NIL , Cam Ward would have signed with us. If there wasn't NIL, Cristobal would have already been run out of town. Imagine if you had started one of those scrubs from last yr at qb this yr.

    • @tlobrill1
      @tlobrill1 3 дня назад

      @@robertfleischer-g8f that is factually incorrect. FSU has a top 10 NIL. Money is not the issue, it’s you have idiots who allocate that money. Bud is the only person I’ve ever seen spew that Miami has a 20 million roster. Gaby Uruitia has shot that down, responding to me directly in a 247 thread. Our NiL is closer than you’re led to believe. Additionally Cam Ward was never coming to FSU. At best he used it as leverage for more NIL from us. He has stated that the reason to come to Miami was he wanted to play behind a good Oline (ours is Better than yours) and he wanted to return to proven production. Miami returned the highest producing wr combo in George and X in the entire country. Not Acc. Country. You never had a chance at ward had you had our NIL. It’s actually funny you would say if it wasn’t for NIL Mario would be gone. He is one of the most respected recruiters in the nation MN had less wins than Mario in his first two seasons and recruited horribly. NIL bailed YOU out of firing your coach by buying players like Fisk verse Coleman etc.

    Maybe this is just what the team and DJU are going to be this season. Sometimes you have to believe people when they show you who they are.
    Now a better question is does Brock and Luke transfer next year if Mike goes to the portal again for another qb, and the reason I ask is because if Brock can get any PT on this terrible offensive then maybe he’s not the answer either.

    DJU is a 5th year Senior with a ton of starts. If he aint figured it out by now it aint gonna happen. NIL, ego and misplaced loyalty are in play here. All yall saying everyone else needs to be perfect before we criticize him are crazy. No QB gets perfect pass pro, wide open recievers, no dropped passes, etc. A QB with that much exp should be adding way more value. Just look at his feet when he throws, its very telling.

    After watching the Cal game again, dju was in all fairness was better in this game. Imho. Of course, he missed the wide open bomb. He lacks any true mobility. And his rpo (if its rpo) looks shaky. Still too many busted plays with no gain. But if we didnt have that holding call or whatever on the 2nd or 3rd drive near the goal line, we could have put the game away early. I think dju threw a pick right after that. The sacks were pretty sad though😅

Mike and Co have done a horrid job of HS recruiting and got outbid this past recruiting cycle in the portal. Bud forgets to mention the negative impact having an Oline that can't block or run the ball and WR/TE/RB's can't consistently catch, get separation or block on the perimeter. Let's see Brocks ball placement radar data from the Louisville and UGA game. BG is not playing for a reason, he HAS NOT GAINED ENOUGH TRUST FROM THE COACHES IN PRACTICE.
