Learn your lines fast with the LineLearner app for iOS and Android. You can make your memorization easy by recording all the lines of dialogue in your script or speech and then playing them back with gaps for you to say your lines.
I take an in-depth look at the LineLearner App and show you how to use it. Once you try this app you won't want to go back to the traditional methods of memorization.

What's your favorite method of learning your lines?
You have sold this app to me! I will download it now thanks 🙏🏾
Oh great! The app has its imperfections but it has really helped me out in a couple recent plays. Hope it works well for you. Thanks for your comment.
Augmented Actor no no, thank you 😊 I seriously mean it because i was struggling before your video 💯
I actually use the DialogMaster Pro app, which is similar in some ways but has lots of options to customize projects. It definitely helps me memorize and rehearse as an auditory learner. So, these types of apps work well :)
That’s great. I will have to check out that app and see what I think.
Thankyou! I can't go to acting classes because I don't have money to pay them. But, this helped me thankyou!
Hopefully you’ll one day get the opportunity to take some classes. I’m glad to help you while you’re unable.
Please can you do a tutorial where you add more than two characters in the scene?
I wish I could. I haven’t been producing new content this last year. If/when I get back to it, I’ll consider another video. But it’s not too difficult. As I recall you would just set up extra characters like you did the first two and change the voice and icon and then just switch back and forth between characters as you record the lines. Then when it plays back you can label one character as “you” and it will silence just those lines and play all the others. If you look in the help or faq section on the app, there are instructions. Best of luck.
@@AugmentedActor I eventually figured it out :) thanks xx
Very helpful, thank you.
You're welcome!
Is there an option for an to British accent? Or different accents for different characters?
Unfortunately, not on this app. The other voice options are super limited. But maybe they'll add other options in the future.
I can’t seem to figure out how to assign the lines. Recorded all the lines and then I am stumped. Not very tech savvy.
Unfortunately, the app does not currently allow you to assign lines to other characters after you record them. You have to set up the characters first using the script tab, click on your script, click on characters, type the name of the character, click on add character and then choose an icon and voice pitch for each character. Once you have those set up, you choose the record tab and then you should see a list of character icons at the bottom. As soon as you click on a character icon, it will start recording. You unfortunately will have to go through the script again and record this way as that's the only way to get the separate characters.
Thanks ❤️
You’re welcome.
This video is very clear and helpful but I'm having one major problem: right at the beginning (after I create a new script) and touch the "i"/select script, but it will not take me to the "script page". I think it's a program glitch. I have re-installed. Anyone else experience this?
When I click on the i on a new script it takes me to four colored buttons. Scenes, characters, duplicate and share. You then add characters and add scenes. Then you can record the dialogue in each of those scenes. Are you able to get to those buttons? When you first make a script it’s completely empty.
No, pressing that button does not produce the multi-colored bars. That's exactly the problem. I've emailed Allday(developer). Thanks for your quick response BTW.
Ok that does sound like a bug or something. Hopefully they can resolve it for you. If so, let us know what they said.
I should have updated this a while ago. Yes, there was a glitch. It mainly had to do with having enlarged text setting on my phone. Regardless, the creator of the program was very, very quick to respond. He solved the problem for me and fixed the glitch. And he did a follow up to make sure. Impressive. All the more reason to use this APP. (unfortunately, the play I was using it to rehearse for got cancelled thanks to The Virus. Hard times for us all)
@@aaronseymour9196 That's good news! It makes sense that something like that would be the culprit.
Many thanks, I been tryin to find out about "how to memorize study material" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Yiyevi Ponevi Approach - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my cousin got excellent success with it.
I haven't heard of that approach but I will check it out. If you're interested in learning more about memorization, you can download my free e-book "how to memorize virtually anything" - bit.ly/AAMemory
Waaaaaay too fast for me. Jeeze ...Does Fisher-Price make one?
"let's slide that. and click...and hit that...." Click, what? Slid, what? Hit what? - if you don't know these inside swipes, icons, and lino...you might get lost. This guy assumes you are in the know and moves quickly.
Sorry Scott if I lost you along the way. The purpose of the video was to do a quick overview of the features not a step by step tutorial. But I realize some people might be looking at this video for that info. The app does have instructions for all the feature and buttons.

Oh I’d be so much richer if I really were Jimmy Kimmel.
