    Surely you thought of an emotion that I didn't include. Let me know what it was.

      Confidence
      Disinterest
      Sass
      Tentative
      Disappointment
      Inspiration
      trust
      charmed
      that's just what I noticed, but you did great! There were a couple that I didn't know about!
      Also, I have trouble controlling my voice to respond to the emotion I'm trying to portray, a video on that would be awesome (although maybe you already do, in that case, thanks it's probably helpful!)

      Thanks for coming up with a list. All good ones. I did a few other videos on acting emotions but not specifically about the voice. So I’ll add that to my list of ideas. Thanks for watching.

    I teach At drama group of kids 8-11 year olds and we do as an exercise a 'Mood walk' . I they walk around and I make up a narrative which includes lots of emotions I might say you're feeling very tired and they look tired, I say you're in pain and they look pained but the one that really amazes me is when I tell them that they seen something really funny on the TV they really laugh. These are not auditioned drama school kids but ordinary kids who like drama. I've done this many times and no matter how new the kids are, it never fails and I know a lot of adults who can't do it half as good.

    • @AugmentedActor
      @AugmentedActor  3 года назад +5

      I think that adults have lost the ability to play and to explore the imagination. It comes so naturally to children. They are able to let loose and explore as well as conjure up imaginary scenarios and jump right into them.

      Well it probably doesn’t look that way for everyone. Hard to encapsulate an entire realm of an emotion in 5 seconds and make it fit for everyone. That’s what I look like when I’m depressed.

      Learn psychology, you need to know what conscious and unconscious thoughts stand behind each emotions. What every face expression means. Also You need to know human character and temperament types. All these variables influence on face and body expressions.

    • @AugmentedActor
      @AugmentedActor  3 года назад +3

      Good points. Mostly you just need to feel the emotions yourself and observe what happens when you do.

    Can you do please redo Affection,Acceptance and Adoration - I am unable to recognise the difference - Do it in a way that we are able to segregate all three emotions

    • @AugmentedActor
      @AugmentedActor  6 месяцев назад

      I appreciate your request, those emotions can have a similar result on the expression of your face and that’s why they seem similar. But I shot that video nearly five years ago and don’t intend to revisit it. I would challenge you to try those expressions yourself and see what results you get.

    Seems like a lot of emotions are similar to each other. It could probably be grouped into orgasm, very happy, happy, neutral, bored, tired, sad, very sad, disgust, confusion, surprised, angry, very angry, pain

    • @AugmentedActor
      @AugmentedActor  Год назад

      No doubt. I went for nuance and tried to cover every variation I could think of. If you notice the background colors of each shot indicate the category of emotion (red = anger, gray = depression, blue = sad, and I don't remember the rest. I intentionally categorized them by color). They appear random because they are alphabetized in order.

      Haha. I think they both draw upon that uncontrollable expression that happens when either orgasm or pain occur. Some people show really twisted crunchy faces when they climax.

    At fist I thought you were one one of those ego starving guys but you literally answer all your comments

    I even searched tips for playing old
    You should do some advertising

      Hey thanks man. You have to have a little ego to put yourself out there I suppose but I’m not in this for the glory. It’s just something I’m passionate about and it keeps me creating. I do wish I could get more eyes on my stuff. I’ve tried running some ads and I feel like the results (new subscribers, etc) aren’t genuine and don’t really do much other than increase a few metrics. The real impact is in being helpful and that’s why I answer all my comments. I even try to answer the negative ones. Word of mouth is my best advertising so thanks for leaving your comments.

    Please make some video about how to act this entire emotions by expaning what happens to our facial expression and what feature chnages during this act for example (interested: eyebrows raised; jaw relaxed head advanced forward and focusing eye gaze at item of interest etc) and what body language should be during these emotions

    • @AugmentedActor
      @AugmentedActor  3 года назад

      I have a few videos that show some of that. How to Act Emotions - 3 Pillars of Emotion Explained ruclips.net/video/3GzW8xehXIU/видео.html and How to laugh and cry ruclips.net/video/_nyUGxRTWn0/видео.html. But what your requesting won’t be the most effective way of learning these emotional states. First the video would be three hours long. But aside from that, there are many different ways you can express each of these emotions. Even in the video you’ll see some of them with two or three different versions. Acting emotions is less about learning facial movements and postures and more about recalling something in your life that made you fee that emotion and see how your face changes naturally or to observe others closely when they are emoting. When I shit this video I didn’t map out my facial movements. I just pretended I was feeling that emotion and then exaggerated my face a little.

    • @omniknowledgecenter4487
      @omniknowledgecenter4487 3 года назад

      @@AugmentedActor most of them i can not recall for example love

    • @AugmentedActor
      @AugmentedActor  3 года назад +1

      @@omniknowledgecenter4487 Well, let's take Love for example which is an extremely complicated emotion. You may not be able to recall being in love with someone, but surely you recall the love of a parent or friend, loving a hobby, loving a pet. Choose one of those moments from you life and try to recall how it felt. Be specific when you imagine that time. Then use that feeling as a substitute for "Love" when you are acting. There isn't a step-by-step outline for what your face does when you experience an emotion, but if loving someone or something makes you feel happy, you might raise your eyelids and smile. Love can make you feel jealous or frustrated or concerned. Your face will do other things with those emotional reactions. If you just make the face without putting yourself in the imaginary scenario, the acting of that emotion will seem fake or robotic. So if you haven't experienced an emotion or can't recall a time when you did, then think of a situation when you've experienced something similar and substitute that feeling until (as life will assure) you feel the feeling again in real life (which is when you should make a note of what you look like while you are feeling it).
      Also, even though I acted out 128 different emotions in this video, these can basically be put into 6 categories. Happiness, Sadness, Fear, Anger, Disgust, and Surprise. All other emotions are degrees of these or combinations of these. And even these basic emotions can be expressed 100 different ways by each person. You can be sad and bawling. You can be sad and show no expression on your face at all. Hope this helps you discover some of the emotions you can't recall.
