Robert Scott is exactly what happens when you start a freshman on the OL. That's why these young guys need to work their ass off and season their talents.
Yup. You can see it with Washington too. The best way to get injured as an ol is to get overpowered and fall back. It's really a good thing that FSU is giving these kids time to develop.
I wish we kept Bless, and he developed his run blocking. Bless was the best Tackle body/pass blocker we've had in a long time.

And MO. I asked him about it at the spring game last year and he looked at me like you even have to ask lol One thing we may be able to see if he gets dinged up he can actually take a game or two if need be but I'll beleive it when i see it.

Rotating Meche was based on loyalty from him and Atkins time at Charlotte. Jones should be solid all season. LT and C are biggest question marks for me?
Is it possible that most defenses we played were more prepared for GT counter this year, possibly explaining why we didn’t get consistent positive gains running it? Or was it more so our lack of execution with running counter?
You guys should make a video about Jake Rizzy. His LT tape at Harvard is amazing and I think he could be great for us. No clue if FSU wants him at tackle or inside though.

O-line is much better in 24 IMO. DJ will get a full second more than JT ever did and the run block will also be better on counter
The offensive line played better when Darius was at center.
Morlock and Bell weren’t good blockers and it caused issues at times in the run game. Honestly, didn’t see any major improvement from the TE position last year as a whole due to the blocking being so bad.
Agreed. OL gets too much of the blame
It seemed to me that we ran an awful lot of our plays to the short side of the field this year.

I'm not sure that metric exists exactly but I would agree that there was a fair amount of runs to the boundary. That's not inherently a good or bad thing though.

If they aren't any better this year, then it might be time to assume that Atkins is just a better than average coach. He's a good recruiter, but still hasn't brought the top guys in. Maybe overrated just a touch.

It seems like Armella has mixed opinions from everyone. He seems like he still hasnt figured out the coordination of his own body.
I presume you're basing that on last season? Did you see the videos of him at practice? Physically he has gotten huge! More defined more muscular. Let's hope it turns into good play.

our oline always got the skinniest arms and it pisses me off.
Never hurts to have big arms but power comes from the legs so I get the approach.
Have you seen pictures or videos of Armella recently? He's huge. His arms are huge and a lot more muscular.
