Asian Clark Kent I imagine their receivers aren’t usually this wide open to allow those types of throws lol. No one expects to have to guard a lineman.
Offensive tackle serving as wide receiver is like delivering mail with a D8 bulldozer. So dumb an idea that the other team never sees it coming (thus making it smart).
Catching the ball with o-line gloves and all the tape and padding they wear is NOT easy.
NFL QBs throw insanely hard, easily breaking fingers, they want free passing TDs, certainly don't want to lose them because they threw too hard

You gotta figure an offensive tackle's job's is pretty boring and thankless most of the time. All he does is play human bulldozer against a guy as big as he is. If he does well, everybody congratulates the QB. If he does shitty, the QB does shitty (and everybody blames the linemen).
So yeah, basically... nice to see the fat guys on the line get their moment in the spotlight.
Johan Faul exactly! I play right tackle on my school team and the entire line gets blamed for shitty passes. We never get the recognition we deserve, but we still do our job, and never complain. It’s just kind of a thing I guess.

They use the word “eligible” in like almost every one of these
The tackle is not always eligible
Because that's the term. Gotta report to the officials so you can catch the ball
It's explained at 4:58. Generally, offensive linemen (which wear numbers like 67 there) are not eligible to catch a pass. On rare occasion you might hear in a telecast an announcement on the PA that X is an eligible receiver for a play; that gives the defence warning. What they DO with that information is their own problem.
That is what it is, you report to the ref as eligible, it is announced, most of the time they are still just blocking.
