I didn't recognize Sorum at first, I saw the name "Matt" on his kick, but didn't make connection until his closeup. Very cool!

@@rockettcustoms6266 I loved Eddie, but you are wrong and I can prove it. Every other band has a lead guitarist and a rythem guitarist, Billy only has Dusty on bass and Frank on drums, he is the only guitar. Plus they've been touring for over 50 years, and still put on a great show.
When Jimi H. was once asked who his favorite guitarist was, the answer referred to Billy Gibbons! 'Nuff Said!

Grew up in Houston in the 50’’s to 70’s listening to all the albums released starting with ZZ TOP’s First Album.👍👍🇨🇱
It's amazing how Billy gets his signature tone no matter what guitar he plays... While I can't get that tone no matter how many guitars I play!
All you gotta do to get the sound is use the same pedals that Billy uses. Guitars are arbitrary. All or most guitars will sound the same put through the same devises. Now being able to play like him is a different ball game. But the sound and tone are definitely achievable because his sound is overdrive and fuzzy. I suggest watching a Billy Gibbons rig rundown here on RUclips. Those are very insightful.
@@jonnyrayjones1746 I did.. It seems that now he has a sound tech that uses a computer to duplicate his tone for every individual song. On top of that Billy has many pedals even some that are the same and run in series...
Yes I can achieve those tones if I had a hundred grand in equipment plus my own sound engineer.
My lement was to be able to get close without a truck load full of stuff.
I also don't like using computers to clone tones.

With most guitar players, it’s how they play that gives them their tone, how they fret the strings, and how they attack them with the pick, or their fingers, if fingerpicking.
@@wilburwilbur6946 that is definitely part of it. I get real close using my wee little tube amp and a fuzz box. Billy is famous for using a similar setup.
The Rev's guitar virtuosity is like a fine wine...It get's better with age! He's one of the greatest Blues/Rock Guitarists around. In fact at Eric Clapton's Chicago "Crossroads Blues Festival" The Right Reverend Billy G turns up the fuzz tone and blows the huge crowd away with one of his signature specials: "Jesus Just Left Chicago" and "Waitin for the Bus." Standing O every time.

Agree. This is my first time EVER seeing BFG not playing with Beard and Hill ( Except that Netflix biography). It kind of freaked me out at first. 😂 I was a kid when Eliminator came out and I thought they were a new band, my uncle told me he said hell they were around since the 60s , I thought he was BSing me😂.
