I tried about 15 apps before I got one that would even work at all. It only works on very low resolution now. Not very impressed!
Please note, your phone must be android 4.1 or above, and support OTG for this to work!!!!!

I purchased the android endoscope camera as well. Thank you for your video, I wasn't real sure how to use attatchments. But one thing I might can help you with, is I thought the square silver button didn't work on mine as well. But I learned that if you press and hold it down for a few seconds, then continue to quick press it, it will show different screen shot options, colors, etc. Each time you press it, different screen view shows up, ...enjoy

one question I know in specs it says the cable is flexible but will it hold a position like an auto camera that has metal tubing on it cause im looking for somthing I can bend at a 45° and it stay could you add a little video
+Eugene Orr No as the cable is very flexible. You will need to tape the cable to like a coat hanger or a stiffer piece of wire.
I tried 3 different phones before I got it to work. Huawei Moto7 and then a Samsung, and if the 45-degree mirror doesn't work it probably has a plastic protective film that must be removed

Again, one 50% useless review, sorry to say it. Use the camera as intended to be used and then make the review. Put it to test in dark tight places and see if you can see anything with the small useless LED's ... Use a metal pipe if you don't have anything else and see if you can see anything in the front of the camera while in the pipe..

I bought one of these little wonders a few years ago and I've used it for inspecting the gallery areas of aircraft engines for swarf and other things than can cause F.O.D after machining, I've used it for finding possible cable routes when retro fitting marine instruments on yachts and I've used it around the home.
Probably the best £10 I ever spent!

I've wanted one of these gadgets for a long time, now that they've come down in price, even better. I can't think of one better step than to make them ready for an Android phone, just super! Another gadget that I have wanted ever since I saw one, was an infrared thermometer, to check temperatures of things by just pointing at them. I got one cheap, somewhere online, and it's just as great to use as the former ones I used to see costing over $100. I think $100 is too much to spend on a toy, when you really don't need it. I'm going to pick up one of these endoscopes. I think they'd be great for doing a closer inspection on my own teeth! Not to mention looking around the car, or in a wall cavity at home, and for plumbing solutions! Great video!

You can see video about this rubbish "endoscope" on my channel. I did a video inside the hoover hose. Problems with focus - should work at 4 cm but... On S Galaxy 3 "endoscope" works a few seconds - disconnecting ownselve and closing the program. The mirror, this is a joke.

Bonjour, Il faut savoir que ce type de camera n'est pas appropriée pour les canalisations contrairement à ce que les vendeurs vous font croire. Si c’était le cas vous en trouverez partout dans la grande distribution! Les tarifs d'une caméra endoscopique varie de 1 000€ pour la plus basse qualité à 10 000€ pour la plus haute. D'une part, Le jonc (câble) n'est pas assez rigide, passé 30cm, il va s'enrouler sur place. Par ailleurs, la tête de camera va baigner dans les dépôts au sol dans la canalisation ce qui fait que vous ne verrez rien immédiatement après l'avoir inséré. Les caméras professionnels disposent de centreur qui permet comme le nom l'indique d’élever la tête de camera sans que celle ci soit au contact des impuretés. Je vous passe les détails pour le métrage linéaire, le fait qu'elle doivent être auto-nivelant et compagnie. Ne perdez pas de temps ni d'argent à moins que vous souhaitiez acheter un gadget. I don't think the button does anything useful, i think it comes out of parts reuse. I think the LED current control enclosure is reused from a cheap headset with volume control knob - with cable relief rubber insert removed, it would clear the thick boroscope cable. There is even microphone hole left on the enclosure. Some of these actually still have a microphone there and the button mutes it.

Just got one of these USB endoscopes. Installed CameraFi on my smartphone (z5c) and by default, it didn't find the camera. After some reading around, I went to 'settings' on the phone, then 'device connection', then 'USB connectivity', then 'Detect USB Device'. It then detected the camera and I was able to see the feed on that CameraFi app. I presume menu items and descriptions may change slightly between phones, but it's probably something reasonably similar for most androids. Hope this helps some of the folks having similar 'fun' on this thread.
@dial2fast Can you upload this USBCamera 2.0 app , because I can not find it in the Playstore.
I also tried other apps , but it doesn't work.
Only when I use USBWeb cam app it occasionally work.( I'll have to clear the cache or reinstall it every time)

I bought one of these for my computer; it doesn't work! The computer recognizes something has been plugged in but ... nothing. The software disk that comes with it is in chinese ONLY and is useless. There is a video on youtube claiming it will sync with Windows Live Moviemaker; tried it, nope! Has anyone else been able to find a workaround?

you get what you pay for, wish I had my $27 back. cd doesn't have an English version, app displays a missing internet permission in android manifest.xml warning and terminates app in 3 minutes. no support from what I can find.

Seeing that these are waterproof, small, directly powered via an android device, available with 10m cords, and cheap, I'm surprised when searching around there's no evidence of people using these as car backup cameras. Any reason these borescopes would be a poor choice?

Got mine from Gearbest (NOT) it lights up, but the mini Cd is useless, as are the QR codes, can't get the thing to do anything, on any of the phones I have access to.

what heap of junk, my samsung phone has all the nessessary software, have tried several different apps, watched loads of utube videos, interagated the phones settings - just wont effin work, when connected to the pc all i can get out of it is the leds work! waste of money!

I bought one off a certain auction site for £8 and cannot find an app for my Android 6 Moto G 'phone that recognises the camera, even the one specified by the seller failed. I 'd have been better off throwing the money straight into the bin, at least I wouldn't have had to wait a fortnight!

On my LGG3, the square silver button rotates the camera through different color functions, including B&W ...and 4 position changes, essentially left/right-up/down perspective changes.

Less than $10 shipped now. Obviously the USB connector has to be powered. No additional apps needed for Win 10 pc. Tried it with an old XP laptop and that worked, too. without additional apps. Did not work with my Chromebook. Resolution isn't great but, considering the price, it's certainly OK.
I have the Motorola Moto G Force phone and I had to use an adapter(USB to USB C) but it does not recognize the endoscope on my phone.

You can also stop the app by using the button on the phone with the two overlapping squares. Tap it and it will display all running apps. Either tap "close all" or swipe the apps off screen to close them individually.
i just got a 5 meter cable endoscope, exactly the same as this but the leds are lopsided abd dont even function :( gotta send it back and wait for replacement, god damn ebay

You must got a defective item. If the endoscope did not work on the computer, it will not work on your phone
