Some clarification: Roald Dahl (the writer of James and The Giant Peach, along with Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Matilda, so on) was never proven to be an anti-Semitic. As far as we know, it might have been about Israel itself.

When I try to look it up I get mixed results since basically the Milo and Otis we watch is just the Japanese film that a British guy bought the rights for and then just made up a story and dubbed over it

Idk if anyone remembers that point in their life, but there was a time were some of us didn't know that wars exist, or that meat comes from animals. We take this at a given, but there had to be a point where we learned it the first time.
I can remember both things, and how shocked i was. Like, wars? I thought they were things from the past or out of movie, and didn't exist anymore. To realize that there is always a war on earth, - or mostly multiple ones - was quite something.
I think that was the time my childhood was ruined. All those things above can't really compare to the existance of mass scale murder and invasion. Also the moment i realized that people in other countries had no food was very traumatic too.
I porbably learned all that with age 3? Nothing can shock me since then. (:

I was so shocked, I checked out a lot of books about the holocaust at my school's library over the next few weeks. The world has looked completely different ever since.

- Although in the 2012 film, Onceler manages to correct his mistake and meet the Lorax again, it is most likely that this did not happen in the original version. Because? Well, they make it clear to us that nature and everything around it has already withered, I don't think there is water to water the last seed or anywhere to plant it properly, so surely that tree never grew. You can already get an idea of what happened next.
- In both versions the animals surely died or ate each other due to lack of food, this is a somewhat obvious fact.
- In Mlp there is a character "Cheese sandwich" who at first glance is just a male version of Pinkie, but in reality he is a fel insert of Weird Ai (a "singer") and to make everything worse, in the last chapter Pinkie and Cheese have a daughter.
