    I’m making Philly cheesesteaks, so I’ll wear my New York shirt.

      It was only one recipe. She also mentioned New York cheesecake.

    Somebody must have put a whole lot of S and P into Sandy’s script today

      Sandy, stop trying to make "S and P" happen.

    Noooo way, she made a real cheese sauce? Unreal. She took it up a notch for this new show it seems.

    • @BagznBirdz
      @BagznBirdz 5 месяцев назад

      She had to, because it's cheaper than buying ready made. For her other series she would have def bought a canned sauce!

    This is the most authentic cooking I've ever seen her do. I'm honestly shocked. It wasn't terrible. Could've used way more seasoning for the meat, though. Otherwise? Good job, Aunt Sandy. I'm proud of you.

      Correct opinion. There are things I would change to make it closer to being actually good, but the elements of the cheese steak are there without weird random ingredients like corn nuts

    I think she ought to remove the meat & peppers and just call it a "Wisconsin cheese sub" 🧀 😂 lol

    The roll needs to be toasted or a firmer type of roll. Those fluffy white rolls are going to turn to mush and fall apart very quickly. Why put cayenne pepper in that awful cheese sauce? Just why?

      I think they use canola oil because it probably is less likely to burn the way butter does. This is semi-homemade, which means it is reaching a varying grade of experience. Butter is a fat through which to cook the flour. Canola oil probably is less likely to scorch if someone goes too far when cooking? That's my guess. It also might be cheaper than butter.

    • @ciegosordomudo
      @ciegosordomudo Год назад +13

      You can make a roux with any fat+flour. Butter is obviously tastier and the traditional fat to make béchamel or besciamella. But speaking from experience, oil works just fine.

      Right? The whole cut you might find $9.99 here on sale, $8.99 if you’re lucky. The actual steak might be closer to $14?

    She should make Chicago style hot dogs. Step 1: Top a hot dog with tomato wedges, neon green relish, a pickle, sport peppers, mustard and celery salt, all on a steamed poppy seed bun. Step 2: Shoot anyone who puts ketchup on it.
