Apparently I'm about to become a thumb grip guy. As well as laser sight for my smgs, the fact I just grips on my smg when I usually am staying it anyway just made me realize that matters if ads but not for partying up close.
at 5:33 you dont need a DMR Comp over an AR one to get the benefits since in game it says (stat may differ of weapon its attached to) and correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure they both do 20% on DMR's even tho the stat for the AR one doesnt update
Hey @CDome could you do a comparison between a red dot and a holo? Someone recently dug up a code saying the holo gives you +40% ads speed which would mean +80% in combination with the thumb grip
Just a bit fine tuning with the language to reach the WJ level of neutrality and /or politeness. Most of the videos are good or even excellent, but occasionally there's few slips that feel a bit off. But excellent content and information! Thank you!
That test at the end is crazy, for me with the silencer i had 0 plan where he was.. flash hider gave me the Audio so i knew he was somewhere left and compensator gave everything away ^^
I can see the compensator while watching this with my phone screen😂 Personally I only use suppressor to avoid getting 3rd partied cuz that's the hardest situation you can get in PUBG IMO. Maybe skill can help you 1v4, but nothing can help you 1v8, not even hacks would work.
As a long time, PUBG stream watcher of ChocoTaco, HollywoodBob and CDome, i really just 3 days ago got myself a GPU for my PC and finally have a hardware that can run PUBG PC for the first time. This did help a lot, the moment i launched the game, i was so sure that it will take me at least a year to be ok at the game as the gun control gave me the impression i need a 2 meter wide table to have space to pull my mouse down till the end of the magazine, didn't know the Aim Training Lab and Audio Training Lab existed, practiced there for 3 hours straight on AR spray accuracy and in combination with this video, i got my first win that night. You guys are awesome!
From experience, when you're going Solos, always build for control on your close range weapon and stealth for your long range one. I can't count how many long range engagements I've won because the enemy can't even locate where I'm firing from because I have a Suppressed SR/DMR. When they can't find you, controlling your recoil on a DMR doesn't really matter anymore. Just take your time to shoot perfectly when you have zero retaliation.
@@CDome For sure! i do like to snap quickly with the mini but wow the comp really gives away everything. suppressor from now on! 🤣 Thanks for the video CDome, it's top tier! 💯
Thank you so much for the thorough guide and test. Basically, for AR I will go Thumb Grip and for DMR is the Light Grip. And the muzzle I will go Suppressor for DMR, Sniper and Compensator for close range
I wondered who'll be the one to carry on with these kinds of videos now WJ is no longer doing it. This is a useful video for everyone, especially newbies. Thanks for the effort, Cdome!
I’ve been an angled grip user for years. The longer the spray the more beneficial the angled grip is. The big negative is the first 2 bullet gap where it loses out heavily vs the vert/half/thumb which all make for tighter sprays with the first few bullets
I play 1, no vert multiplier. I think some people forget a higher vert multiplier might mean you have to pull down less to keep your gun stable, but it doesn’t reduce the gap in bullet spread vertically so it doesn’t actually help in game
i do the same with the mags. ext. quickdraw for AR and a regular ext. for DMR. i figured the quick reloads don't matter as much in long distance fights and 2 bullets is 2 bullets.
Appreciate the effort and time you put into this attachment guide, I was almost always no braining the vert grip but now I should reconsider my choices, lol. And the test at the end was really enjoying, really made me think twice if I wanna use compensators over flash hiders/suppressors. You're the goat!
People mistakenly think the suppressor is about making gun silent and they chose not to use it because on DMR/ARs it doesn't do that at most ranges but you'd clearly shown in your test the benefit has always been that it stops directional pinpointing of shots.
Hey man, found your channel recently and I've been binging your videos! This video was really helpful, I don't know why but I always had it in my head that the Tactical Stock was better across the board, and didn't really pay attention to what it did, so I'll be switching to the Heavy Stock where possible in the future! Keep up the good work, and have fun out there!
Im very grateful someone tested, that the numbers on attachments are true. Just a very small detail for the future videos (if you do them) - less talk, more graphs my guy! And also dont forget there is a lot of hidden stats. For example I cant quite explain why, but MK12 feels AWFUL with thumbgrip altho it should benefit us greatly. It just feels unstable as hell. Im a long term fan of lightweight grip even for sprays but lately Ive been running vert/thumb for mid/long range spray stability. nice to see those graphs showing me that my gut was right. Also lightweight feels very inconsistant in horizontal recoil which must be another hidden stat bro, theres almost no way you get 5 such awful side recoils in a row :D Last mention - I would appreciate the recoil graph for stocks aswell, Im still unsure if tactical stock with 10% ads speed is better than heavy stock with 10% recoil BUT penalty on ADS speed.
WOW ... CDome this was very informative. Thanks for all the info, I havn't be paying attention to the attachments lately. This was a bit of a surprise, and again thanks for the video.
24:50 As someone who uses the mutant extensively and has played for 2500 hours, you should really only be using it on the 2-round burst mode except for extremely long ranges. The heavy stock is substantially, substantially better on the gun and turns it from a good gun to a phenomenal gun. Also, I find that the compensator is better than the muzzle break for it.
The recoil recovery makes it so you can single tap faster from far range which is kind of a big deal if you are a fast tapper. And the less sway the faster you will get that head shot on far targets.
My loadout is Aug 6x/3x muzzle break, angle grip Mini 6x flashhider Ive found the angle works best for me, helps with the small horizontal movement, exactly what you said @12:20
i like using akm with muzzle break, 4x, and quickdraw mag, things a mid range monster. slow firerate means 30 bullet last a lot longer, muzzle break helps with the 4x screnshake and slow fire rate is easy to control anyway
During the can you spot the enemy lesson: At first, it sounded like he was on the right side. I could not spot that player to save my life. But thanks for the video dude, I've been looking for a nice straight forward guide.
I think you missed the difference between Holo and Red Dot. There's a difference when it comes to ADS, that you could easily use to compensate with other attachments.(ex: M4+Holo+Muzzle+Thumb+HeavyStock). Heavy stock takes -10% ADS, but with holo you get it back and increase it even more. Btw is there any gun you think the Angled is objectively better or Vertical? I think Beryl is good with either vertical + muzzle or Compensator + Thumb, so this way you play with numbers. Highly increased ADS also allows you to be the 1st one shooting, so it makes both M4/Ace a little more in a pair with Aug/Beryl, as If you can control recoil - you're a few hit bullets ahead in compare to your enemy.
Yes! I did forget to mention the ADS buff of the holo but I still would recommend red dot personally bc it’s much smaller. I like angled on M4 / Aug right now
very informative video... will be very helpful.. specially the section related to hip fire and laser in SMGs. on a side note, already using half and thumb grip instead of vertical, thumb being more frequently used...
so I will start to force guns with only thumb and angle....without barrel attachment. I can predict vertical spread, but horisontal is something else. That's why in the start of fights I always have feeling that im better at shooting without attachments...so I was not crazy...NICE VIDEO
Love to see this kind of video, very informative. I'm surprised that the thumb grip perform really close to both vert and angle grips in term of recoil reduction, there is not much point picking up any other grip when it performs too well for both spray and single shot.
5:25 that is simply not true, the stats don't mean much, since those vary depending on the weapon the compensator is attached to. There used to be a bug, during the first couple of months after PUBG made AR attachments applicable to DMRs, where, on DMRs, SR comps would reduce the recoil pattern more than AR comps could, but that got patched. Basically, any AR attachment, when applied to a DMR, will act the same as the SR variant.
Have you read the tool tip for each item recently? Look at it in the game and the item clearly says AR comp is 10H 15V recoil and the DMR/Sniper comp is 20H / 20V.
@@CDome Hi CDome, this specification is actually not shown in game, but it was clearly stated in one of the old patch notes. Given the video is just published, I would suggest comparing DMR with AR & DMR attachment separately in game and put a correction note as soon as verfied.
I just did a search of the patch notes and did not find this correction and yes, it is shown in-game. The stats are displayed for each attachment which show AR / DMR comp are different. I’ll do further testing to verify if this is not accurate. If you have any proof other than “trust me bro” please share 👌🏼

Put a red dot on an MP5. Come up on aim and shoot at a wall and you will notice it fires the bullets quite a bit below the red dot centre reticule.....

I would like to see a cool new sniper in the game!
@@CDome The thing is, there's nothing in the lightweight grip description that would suggest horizontal recoil increase. I did similar tests myself, and in my experience, recoil patterns deviate so much that to get any kind of meaningful data you would need hundreds of attempts, not 5 per grip.
if donty mind me asking what ur favorite ar muzzles for m4 and aug , and do you go for different ar based on map or more so feeling ? and attachements found
yo Cdome it would of been beautiful to see individual shot placement on the recoil graph instead of lines, that's the only way I can see this video being any better though. thanks for taking the time to do this for us. the range times out after 10 minutes so its kind of a hassle for a returning player like me to figure out my preferences, i quit playing in like 2017 so theres things that have changed that i didnt even know about, like the vert grip being butt. No wonder my AR sprays are so bad LOL
Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t the holographic site have a slight aim down sight speed buff compared to the red dot sight? Or did that get removed since it wasn’t in the video?
i ment i was hoping i would be included in the guide see how the Mk14 reacted to the cheek pad and muzzles as a full auto DMR compared to a single fire. intend to play with 5.56 so dont often pick up the Mk14 over my current dmr because of ammo situation and well i dont carry an “in case of” cheek pad 😂 your video was amazing regardless made me change parts of my preferred attachement and improved on my gameplay that is a win on its self that is all that matters ahah

yo Cdome it would of been beautiful to see individual shot placement on the recoil graph instead of lines, that's the only way I can see this video being any better though. thanks for taking the time to do this for us. the range times out after 10 minutes so its kind of a hassle for a returning player like me to figure out my preferences, i quit playing in like 2017 so theres things that have changed that i didnt even know about, like the vert grip being butt. No wonder my AR sprays are so bad LOL
Hey i'll keep that in mind on my next tests thanks for sharing
Thank you
No problem! 👍
Yoooo, I was searching for this probably hours before you uploaded this 🥲
Great content!
Glad I could help!
Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t the holographic site have a slight aim down sight speed buff compared to the red dot sight? Or did that get removed since it wasn’t in the video?
Yes! That is correct, I should have pointed that out in this review.
@@CDome correct it has the advantage or correct that it has been removed
WackyDone or Wdome 🤔 thanks for the video. It's great to have an update of all these. Definitely gonna share with some people.
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for sharing!
So, for vert sense multiplier, you use yours at 1.5? Do you find horizontal recoil harder to control with the increased vert sense?
No issue with horizontal. In fact, i may increase the multiplier even more
Thank you Wacky C Dome!
😅 welcome
Are iron sights faster ADS than red dot?
ADS slightly faster iron
i waited for the cheeck pad and the muzzles for the Mk14 Im curious on the difference
Crate weapon test???
i ment i was hoping i would be included in the guide see how the Mk14 reacted to the cheek pad and muzzles as a full auto DMR compared to a single fire. intend to play with 5.56 so dont often pick up the Mk14 over my current dmr because of ammo situation and well i dont carry an “in case of” cheek pad 😂 your video was amazing regardless made me change parts of my preferred attachement and improved on my gameplay that is a win on its self that is all that matters ahah
I think thumbgrip is best for ars, lightweight for dmrs
To each their own!
Would the account for controller players to?
Yes, works for both.
Very well done!
Appreciate it!
Watching the Video on my Phone:
Still looking for the flash😂
LMAO
@CDome still looking 🤣
Worth the effort man! This video will generate you income over a long time I reckon.
Hopefully PUBG doesn’t change the grips anytime soon lol
Awwwww yeah. (Insert Anthony "Spice" Adams meme here).
😏😏😏
Vert grip seems useless?
Pretty much
I want them to put the M249 back in the crate. High capacity seems like a perfect factor to restrict to crate weapons.
MG3 🐐
Brother just dropped a pubg bible on a monday before vacation! (slow clap)
Gotta stay grouch’n
You forgot one more gun that uses the folding stock: Skorpion. But rarely do you see anyone use a sidearm
Oooo that’s right!!
Ace32: Compensator, Vertical Grip, Heavy Stock, Extended Mag, 2/3x scope
Solid loadout! Have you tried thumb grip? Muzzle brake?
I'm gonna try the thumbgrip but don't prefer the muzzlebreak as much after the nerf.
you should do the side by side comparison
Of what?
Thank you
Np! Glad you liked it 👍
Give us a weapon guide! I just got back into the game and I need an updated guide. :)
More guides are coming! 👍
