I don't. Builds, CAS and interior decorating etc are all not interesting to me, but James doesn't do too much of that and I just avoid the ones where he does. There are a number of SimStreamers I don't like because they spend so much screentime in CAS making barbie dolls or build mode doing mansions with hardly any gameplay. I am not watching the Hazel ones for example because I know that her going all over remodeling stuff isn't something I want to watch. This one I love though.
Yeah I think a flower garden up front with the animal topiaries and sculptures. Then he can add all the flower plantables. Early on, James did say he wanted to do a garden in the front anyway but I think he forgot about it.
For my farm I created a club, but called it "Farm Hands" and basically when my sim needed extra help with the animals or crops (for example they would help encourage crop growth and clean the coops etc) I would start a club gathering, and then I "paid" each of them $100 for a few hours by deducting the amount from my household funds, which felt more like employing them rather than just running a club which feels cheaty. It also makes it feel more like a farm! ☺️ Just in case anyone is struggling with running a huge farm in the Sims 😅

Can we put a roof over the small porch where Fae Faes food is and where she sleeps? Might be nice to build Fae Fae a little dog house since I never see her sleeping in Chazs room.
The last house I was playing, they had three dogs and a cat. Five pet beds. The animals mostly slept in the kids' play tent or on the couch. Very realistic.
@@fuzzypumpkin7743 I think it might be based partly on the pet personality and partly on what's available next to their favorite person's bed when that Sim is asleep, judging from my own games. The bigger dogs also require the bigger beds (otherwise they sleep on the couch or where ever they fit lol.) But yeah, it's pretty realistic that they often fall asleep anywhere else!

The cat generally claimed the bed by the parents of the family when they were asleep, but the dogs would sleep on the rug by the kids or more often on the other side of the lot on the couch and rug there instead of their beds in or by the sleeping trailer (it was a trailer lot, sleeping trailer and living trailer). When the daughter moved out, cat moved with her and now sleeps in bed with her and her husband at night and ignores her bed. The cat's immortal.
I feel like Trenton and Patchy are bonding over the fact that they do all the hard work around the farm and Chaz just ignores them and is the star of the show 😂
Use your excess greenhouse crops to make friendly treats and give them to your animals everyday, it will make them not leave, like you more and give you higher quality produce to sell for more!
Actually, I don’t know if anyone remembered, but when James first tested out encourage crop growth, it was on the fair winning aubergine! So encourage crop growth is worth it!
I am currently channelling James with a series of produsperiments to try to see exactly what each different type of fertilizer gets you, what the optimal combination is for maximum growth, and finally a cost per kilo benefit analysis. Because this is what I mean when I defensively yell "I *have* a life!" at friends and family!

The weeding animation for encourage crop growth makes sense because usually you sort of thin out the crops to make them grow nicer. So if you have 6 sproutlings and 3 are growing larger than the rest you’ll pull the 3 smaller ones so the big ones have less competition for resources! Idk if the sims team actually put that much thought into it but it’s kinda cool that it makes sense
Hey just had a thought. When the fair comes to town next time, why not bring your selling g table to the event. That way, instead of just getting bored and napping while waiting for the fair to end, you can sell off some of your goods and get some profit while you wait.
james, the birds and bunnies tend to give gifts everyday. There's always a thought bubble above them with a gift icon so you know they have a gift for you. also, i wouldn't mind if you sold the feathers, cristals and frogs you get from Fae Fae and tending the garden on the selling table, and you can keep the provit low if you so desire

Aww the brothers should hang out with Hazel sometime! It's hard for their relationships to progress if they never leave the farm. I suppose it's because the farm isn't fully automated yet, but I do think it'll be a refreshing change of pace if they at least invite her over for a holiday celebration or go out in town with her!
I know there's already a lot to do in this LP, but I'd really like to see kids helping out in the farm. It would be nice to have Chaz get married, have kids and build a family!
But we have to remember that they cant get a lot of kids bc Chaz + his partner + Hazel + trenton +2 dogs is already 6 sims so they can only get one kid each

You should choose a couple plots to grow your “prize crops” and those would be the ones you focus on fertilizing and encouraging growth. That way you’ll get some really big oversized crops you can enter in the fair! Loving the crossover LPs !

That Flower Bunny sim is the best 😂 I feel like the update did something weird to the holiday NPCs. Father Winter came to my farm for Winterfest and I saw him rise into the air in some dark smoke and his eyes turned yellow… yup, he was a vampire. I was like what the!?!? 🤣
I've noticed that all of my henford bagley npcs randomly moved out of town and lost their npc roles, which got them replaced by randomly created new elder npcs at one point (except the crumplebottoms who just randomly duplicated themselves and the dupes took over the npc roles), so that may be what happened to your father winter. the game randomly decided he was no longer father winter npc and replaced him with a new townie which was a vampire. i think that may also be what happened here for James, where flower bunny was replaced by a "new" flower bunny except it did so incorrectly and he got an elder instead lmao
The Spice Festival usually has some cowberries growing near the spice challenge thing. I know you said you don't want to travel far away from the town, but it could be a good emergency source

Grim has been hanging out on my lot as well and killing my chickens. He stands right next to the exit for the coop so they can't move and they can't get their food. Next thing you know they're all starving and unhappy and they leave.
I think you should add a stone wall as a property border around the entire lot. And then free the golden chickens and ask for their help (with the garden). Also would love to see a landscaped backyard, maybe with an obstacle or two for Fae Fae to play with.

Hennibal was most likely stuck in a cycle with Grim which is why he was starving & dirty and which is why Grim was stuck on the lot; neither could move even when you reset them. I'm hoping you leaving & coming back has been the reset they both needed. :) Great ep!!

Honestly the juice fizzing is the most OP thing in the game. I agree he should focus on canning since it’s new, but he definitely won’t make as much money as he could fizzing dragonfruit seltzer. You get 15k for a case of it.

Only the death of Cowlene, Lenny, Henther, and countless unnamed golden chickens could prepare me for the retirement of Sucker. This pack has lured me in to adulthood, one giant aubergine at a time.
I love how he says he’ll use the fertilizer eventually. You have to fertilize once a day to get the biggest crops. Also super vitality and super grow fast is only sold at the stand in town. Also, you need to fertilize your greenhouse plants. Or your cowberry plant will never grow.
The spliced plant is already perfect quality, there is no point fertilizing it more - the cowberry is just extremely rare. Also he is getting his super vitality fertilizer from cleaning the animal sheds.
@@itsspelledgiulia1203 I’ve had to do that with mine even though it’s perfect quality. Now I get 2 cowberrys a day to harvest from 1 spliced plant. Been making midnight treats lol.
You can use the gems and crystals to invoke an energy , most of them make you active, inspired or focused. If you study them they will make you focused for 8 hours. I enable their emotional aura and than place them around the garden because it makes lots of sense for my gameplay. Very useful . You can also put the inspiring ones in rooms that need some inspiration like hobby rooms or in the kitchen, the focused where the bookshelf is, active near a sport object, and on and on.
You should set a realistic budget for Solar Roof, and just deduct money when you set it. Or when you do the dream home decorator add solar roofs on new builds on the farm and charge more for it
I wonder if adding another "Patchy" would help with the large crop fields. Also your sims can shower in the rain to save on water for showers, but water can now be collected from bodies of water as well. Here's a new lets play title "Sucker: The Vacuum That Won't Die" I can't wait for the next episode.

You can use the retail warming rack and freezer from Get to Work to store stuff outside of the household fridge because it has a separate inventory. Eggs, milk, pies, everything except oversized crops.
Join the Garden Club, invite them to your lot for a club meeting and they will do everything needed for the plants including Encourage Growth. You can reward them by making them an excellent meal and maybe some refreshing drinks.
I think for your extra row of crops you should plant an extra one of whatever plant is ‘in season’. I know the oversized crops grow year round but i think it’d be more realistic if you grow like an extra row of pumpkins in the fall or extra watermelon in the summer
You should build an dog house/shed for Fefe near the back door so she doesn’t get wet when she sleeps in the rain! That’s probably where the water puddle in the kitchen is coming from

Maybe do another science with james where you compare fertilisers and encourage crop growth. Is the money worth it?

I figure Hennibal glitched out and couldn’t take care of herself while she was in that glitched stand-off with Grim. I had to ask my evil chickens to stop ”helping” because there were just too many Grim-glitches. :/

So Hazel returned their couch. Is it in their household inventory? Also, Chaz really needs to go with Hazel. She's constantly calling him, wanting to go to the pub or dancing. Give Chaz the night off. Trenton can take care of the farm :)
That Flower Bunny sim is the best 😂 I feel like the update did something weird to the holiday NPCs. Father Winter came to my farm for Winterfest and I saw him rise into the air in some dark smoke and his eyes turned yellow… yup, he was a vampire. I was like what the!?!? 🤣
I've noticed that all of my henford bagley npcs randomly moved out of town and lost their npc roles, which got them replaced by randomly created new elder npcs at one point (except the crumplebottoms who just randomly duplicated themselves and the dupes took over the npc roles), so that may be what happened to your father winter. the game randomly decided he was no longer father winter npc and replaced him with a new townie which was a vampire. i think that may also be what happened here for James, where flower bunny was replaced by a "new" flower bunny except it did so incorrectly and he got an elder instead lmao

Grim has been hanging out on my lot as well and killing my chickens. He stands right next to the exit for the coop so they can't move and they can't get their food. Next thing you know they're all starving and unhappy and they leave.

I think you should add a stone wall as a property border around the entire lot. And then free the golden chickens and ask for their help (with the garden). Also would love to see a landscaped backyard, maybe with an obstacle or two for Fae Fae to play with.

Hennibal was most likely stuck in a cycle with Grim which is why he was starving & dirty and which is why Grim was stuck on the lot; neither could move even when you reset them. I'm hoping you leaving & coming back has been the reset they both needed. :)

Honestly the juice fizzing is the most OP thing in the game. I agree he should focus on canning since it’s new, but he definitely won’t make as much money as he could fizzing dragonfruit seltzer. You get 15k for a case of it.

Only the death of Cowlene, Lenny, Henther, and countless unnamed golden chickens could prepare me for the retirement of Sucker. This pack has lured me in to adulthood, one giant aubergine at a time.
I love how he says he’ll use the fertilizer eventually. You have to fertilize once a day to get the biggest crops. Also super vitality and super grow fast is only sold at the stand in town.
Also, you need to fertilize your greenhouse plants. Or your cowberry plant will never grow.
The spliced plant is already perfect quality, there is no point fertilizing it more - the cowberry is just extremely rare.
Also he is getting his super vitality fertilizer from cleaning the animal sheds.
@@itsspelledgiulia1203 I’ve had to do that with mine even though it’s perfect quality. Now I get 2 cowberrys a day to harvest from 1 spliced plant. Been making midnight treats lol.
You can use the gems and crystals to invoke an energy , most of them make you active, inspired or focused. If you study them they will make you focused for 8 hours. I enable their emotional aura and than place them around the garden because it makes lots of sense for my gameplay. Very useful . You can also put the inspiring ones in rooms that need some inspiration like hobby rooms or in the kitchen, the focused where the bookshelf is, active near a sport object, and on and on.
You should set a realistic budget for Solar Roof, and just deduct money when you set it. Or when you do the dream home decorator add solar roofs on new builds on the farm and charge more for it
I wonder if adding another "Patchy" would help with the large crop fields. Also your sims can shower in the rain to save on water for showers, but water can now be collected from bodies of water as well. Here's a new lets play title "Sucker: The Vacuum That Won't Die" I can't wait for the next episode.

You can use the retail warming rack and freezer from Get to Work to store stuff outside of the household fridge because it has a separate inventory. Eggs, milk, pies, everything except oversized crops.

Join the Garden Club, invite them to your lot for a club meeting and they will do everything needed for the plants including Encourage Growth. You can reward them by making them an excellent meal and maybe some refreshing drinks.
I think for your extra row of crops you should plant an extra one of whatever plant is ‘in season’. I know the oversized crops grow year round but i think it’d be more realistic if you grow like an extra row of pumpkins in the fall or extra watermelon in the summer
You should build an dog house/shed for Fefe near the back door so she doesn’t get wet when she sleeps in the rain! That’s probably where the water puddle in the kitchen is coming from
I can’t imagine how time consuming running the farm would be if Chaz didn’t have Trenton 😅
If the chicken is dirty maybe try the 'discuss preening methods' and maybe that will help.
