Been considering joining for a while now but the biggest issue is consistently exercising, longest I have gone so far is a month. I am basically starting from zero since my stamina is quite poor, to say the least. That is really the only negative I would say applies to me on this video.

@@SHADOWFRENZY92once you get into basic training then you no longer need to self-motivates to do fitness, the army will make sure you do it. All you need is to be fit enough to start and then the army will take over.
Once you've been doing regular exercise for months because you've been told to it becomes a habit and motivating yourself becomes easier. As you get fitter you will even start enjoying it, particularly sports.
The easiest way to increase motivation to get fit is to get a gym buddy, someone who will hold you to account and make you go. In the army you'll have loads of them but before you join you'll need to find one.

How can I know if I can cut it in terms of stress resilience and performance under pressure? I’ve been in physical confrontations many times and I’d fight back but it always feels like I’m distracted and paying too much attention to the opponent’s shit talking. I feel like I’m on a different planet when shit goes down and only restore full confidence and concentration once I start winning. I always start passively and almost afraid, but force myself to stay in the shit to maintain self respect after.
Furthermore I wrote my dissertation in uni over a 36 hour non stop study period where I missed sleep and way utterly exhausted from the experience. Still wrote that shit well enough to pass no sleep and all. Surely that counts for something. Physically I’m great, I just need cardiovascular fitness and I’m set. I can do 15 proper pull-ups and shit. I really wanna build up my character through the military but I don’t wanna waste my time if it isn’t for me since I have a life here and a somewhat nice career

Pretty misleading with alot of them good points quick Google searches will disprove alot of it such as accommodation standards for on camp and family accommodation
pay rates are not attractive for most people unless fresh out of school with no responsibility most will take pay cut and quite a large pay cut
adventurous training is a thing bit you'll hardly ever get released for it.
Any good ops or exercises getting fewer and fewer and less time to enjoy it
I agree with most the bad stuff and all you gotta do is look at the retention and wounder why we lost 16k troops to year ago and I think 12k last year when only 73k serving in regs
Not all bad but definitely don't go belive everything about how good it is as comes with alot of crap too and most leave after 4 years now. Don't know anyone that wants to be in either stuck with retention, pension trapped or loaded with debt and won't take the risk to leave
Education yea you get trained but alot of stuff now has lost its civilian certification until you do your class one that could be 5 6 years after you joined and 18 month retention after it finishes

You are wrong on so many levels there. Education can be achieved by everyone in the army.
The higher the rank does not mean the better the accommodation. I was a WO2 living next door to privates.
      Pay funded by the regiment…….what?

@@MilitaryFitness not wrong at all didn't say you can't achieve education its depending on what regiment your with and what you are doing. You cannot willy nilly just go on courses that's BS. I was in military for 20 years and I know.

The British Army needs to move with the times like it has done in the past. Too many desk jockey crap soldiers dictating pointless rules like shaving is the backbone of the Army. Is it really..... I don't think so. Is that why all the best soldiers I've ever known at home and overseas all have beards on leave or on tour.
The Navy historically set the standard, The RAF followed suit and the Army as usual are holdding off. Pathetic. You want good soldiers then give them the freedom to not shave every day of there lives, it takes away a big chunk of someone's identity. It also creates an us and them type of environment for soldiers that are allowed to grow one, for what ever reason that is.
So would I recommend people join the Army.... I'm still on the fence with that answer tbh

The beards and shaving was down to the respirators not sealing if you had a beard etc. It’s not about taking away a persons beard growing freedom. I think it will come in soon though.

Yes there was always an argument for that and it's a good argument, but we are not under a constant CBRN threat. If that were to change then you simply... shave it off.
