@@brackguthrie9470 Energetic, ye-es, but I wish she would just retire to her bee-keeping. I think about 13 years ago she was still impressive but better forgotten thereafter. I love her but I am not blind nor deaf.
An absolutely awesome video. However, this wasn't in the German TV show "Beat Club" (which was there from 1965 to 1972), but the show "Musikladen" (Musicshop), which was broadcast from 1972 to 1984. Filmed at September 20, 1978.
One of my favorite bands back then and now I guess you could say when we were young With the perfect lineup great musicians. Great people You can also say forever young Love you guys always!❤ Gino J Riccardi
You know what this song makes me think of? Well,: While all you Spring Breakers are out on the beach doing whatever, I am hitting the psychology books, deep in studies doing my homework using my time wisely. In master’s level psychology courses I take out all A’s and today, the payoff is big time. There’s nothing like sweet revenge. It’s like Blondie is right here with me. No big deal, right? NI know, right?
The lady really had something to say, and didn't she say it so well, those songs back then were quite remarkable, and they have stood the test of time, much like Debbie herself !
Some of the screaming suggests she has recorded ‘Viktor’. They had probably already recorded the songs for their ‘Eat to the beat’ album but of course they would be keeping it all under wraps!
upto about 7/8 years ago on youtube there were other songs from this Musikladen concert, particularly "I didnt have the nerve to say no" blended into "Bermuda". No idea why it disappeared, since these sessions are online. Anyone have a clue ?
Debbie the best female lead vocalist EVER and the most beautiful. And such a great backing band so underrated. Just take note of the brilliant Clem Burke.
@@brackguthrie9470 Loved the band forever. Nothing can touch Parallel Lines or Eat to the Beat. Recently listened to Eat to the Beat beginning to end - we don't listen to albums anymore - that one you still can - it's a masterpiece. Especially Living in the Real World and Accidents Never Happen. No female singer has ever come close to Debbie Harry. Her writing or stage presence. Jimmy Destri was a secret ingredient along with Nigel and Frank. I will forever love her and Chris for saving my young life from a devastating and tragic home life. I got lost in my Blondie records - they saved my life.
One of the best film clips showing Debbie and the Blondie group at their brilliant live best.
I think this is the oldest Blondie video I have ever seen and I look for all of the great stuff. karl.
❤ complimenti per la chicca! ( Grezzo e punk come erano nati!)
Blondie!!!! I love this old stuff
WOW! How fantastic are Blondie!🧐🤩♥️♥️👍
I never even knew this video existed.. never have seen Deborah / Blondie perform with such intensity!
Really. She's at least that energetic now in her late 70s.

@@SWRural-fk2ub That is your opinion But you dont have to be an asshole.
These guys are excellent musicians, all of them. I've loved them for decades now. God bless Debbie Harry, she's unique.
Agreed.
Give or take a year! 👀 Definitely 🌏 Legendary Legends! 💫BLONDIE💫🎶🎵🎶💥 Thanks for sharing. 👍
At the peak of their revolution of rock !
They weren't at their peak YET, this was first/second album stuff
Wow, what a great upload. Never thought I’d see this, heard the rumours but didn’t believe it existed 👍🥰🥰
Beautiful times! 😎💕
I couldn’t agree with you more…
Long live with D. Harry and the Blondie!!

Damn that was fantastic.
Sublime!

❤ブロンデイ❤最高❤
最高!
Precious!
!978 Blondie was the absolute best for me. Lean, mean and with edge.
We kid alot but we're not making fun of anybody. We really like her voice, looks and fantastic sense of rhythm.
Holy F**k!
A former Univ. Of Ala. student at Tuscaloosa so we like The Tide Is High.
I don’t know Debbie but she has a hole in her heart And wonders where I was born
I was here all along baby
Love Frank's hair
Those bangs over the left eye .... wow.
Her hair is so beautiful

I’m on E…classic Deb.
God she was so stunning

Anyone know where this live Beat Club video was filmed and the date.Sensational performance by the whole band.Blondie at their best.
1978 I couldn't even walk...prob crawling 😅,but love their music
❤❤❤
When Debbie came on the scene she was the first true Rock Queen !
This is a little rough in part, but dang this is Debbie Harry at her very very best! K
"I know but I don't know" sounds very Minneapolis..... something straight out of that rock/rnb scene.
She's big, she's bad. She's Blondie! Karl
Karl she's not big she's petite.
@@johndean4765 Have you ever heard pf a thing called a metaphor? She's not physically large, but she is a superstar. One of the greats. karl
Anyone see the interview in The Face magazine with Julie Birchhill?
Fine looking woman their lucky to have her out front. She shows very well.
The sound is almost as bad as the picture.
This cannot be 1977, as they have Infante on guitar and Harrison on bass.
Probably 1978. They played several songs from Parallel Lines.
@@brackguthrie9470 Yes I noticed this too, but I wasn't sure when they were written.
i was 3
Debbie is about 33 yo here. Easily 10 years older than average for a punk/new wave band at that time.
She was kind of the first proper female punk singer
❤🩹
bringing CBGBs to Germany
“Musikladen”
This really was the only perfect version of Blondie. Anything that I was that followed was just pure nonsense. Jimmy, frank. And Nigel and Clem.
Really? You obviously have not been listening for the past 25 years.

@@brackguthrie9470 the "new" Blondie is very good, but those of us who grew up with phase 1 tend to be stuck on it :)
