Our records do not indicate a hitch or wiring for the RX450H L. We have been unable to get one in for test fitting. We are Curious what hitch you have on your 2022 RX450h L. As far as the wiring, if CQT118255 is the proper part, then it will install in the same fashion. Please respond with the hitch you have installed and if you are successful installing this quick connect harness so we can update our records! Thank You!
@@trailerhitches I installed the OEM hitch by Lexus myself. The dealership did say that they CANNOT guarantee proper fit but I took the chance on it anyway. The bumper does need to be removed and the lower valance needs to be trimmed to make space for it. A couple of small sections of the plastic shielding needs to be trimmed also. The recovery hook is relocated to the driver side. The hitch bolts right up to the unibody. My RX came with a kick sensor that mildly interferes with the hitch but we were not using it anyway and it can also be deactivated in the settings. After cleaning everything up it turned out amazing. My RX did not come with the towing prep package so I’ll only be using the hitch for a bike rack or a cargo tray. I have not got round to the lights yet but will update you when I install them.
OEM installs are always on the more advanced side. Glad to hear you completed it. I only show Universal wiring kits for your vehicle. Remember your local U-Haul hitch pro can assist with this if needed or it can be scheduled online. www.uhaul.com/Trailer-Hitches/
Great tutorial!! Is the procedure same for a 2022 RX450hL?
