    I have maybe slightly above average handy man skills and with the help of your videos, I installed the hitch and wiring in 4 hours by myself. I didn't have a motorcycle lift so I just used different size boxes and blocks until I got the hitch in the proper position. One will definately need a rubber hammer to tap the hitch into final alignment with the bolt holes. On the hybrid model the exhaust is not really that much in the way so I just manuvered the hitch around it and didn't have to take the exhaust down. On the wiring, I found of the 2 holes with rubber plugs on the bottom and back of the trunk, the passenger side one is much larger. The flat 4 connector would not fit thru the opening so I bend the edges of the hole up slightly with pliers until the connector when thru. Then I just hammered the bent portions back down flat once the connector was pushed thru. I cut a slit in the rubber plug and stretched it over the flat 4 connector and put it back in the hole. I put aluminium tape over the inside and outside of this hole to make a better seal. I mounted the L-shaped bracket that holds the flat 4 connector to the plastic under the trunk on the passenger side. There is an access panel than removes with 1 screw so you can get behind the plastic to hold the nuts with a wrench to tighten them. It really turned out great! Thank you so much for making these videos. I will also post this comment on the hitch install video. I have photos but don't know how to add them to the comment.

      It sounds like your install turned out great! Thanks for taking the time to post how it went, success story comments like this are great to hear and will help others when they try and do their hitch install.
      Indeed the hole I used to pass the wiring through was small, I enlarged it a bit with a step drill bit and then cut the wires and soldered them back together to get the 4-pole connector past. It sounds like the passenger side method would have been a lot easier, had I not already screwed the connector mount onto the hitch.
      I’m always glad to see my video’s helped someone. That was a big motive to make these two videos. There were a few hitch install videos already out, but done by mechanics with a lift, which is not as helpful for an average person in their garage. And nobody had made a wiring install video specific to the NX200/300. Modern cars are so complex to take apart I knew it could help people out, especially since the installation sheet you get with the wiring is not the greatest. So I figured why not kill two birds with one stone. I was already going to do it, why not film it too.
      I don’t think you can put photos in RUclips comments, but feel free to message me on Instagram if you want to share your photos.

    I would never have found the right connectors until I watched this video.

    Great video! Thank you for walking through every single thing that needs to be done. Found another video of a non-hybrid version and they just ran the positive wire to the 12v outlet right there in the back instead of all the way to the front of the vehicle. I did this installation and it works but just know that your signals will not function without the ignition or accessory on. Cheers.

      That is a great idea! Other than the unlikely roadside incident where you want to leave the car off with the hazards flashing, that is a much easier solution for the non-hybrid NX. Thanks for the comment.

    Do you have any idea if this procedure applies to the new generation NX350H?

    • @BrenoAutoGarage
      @BrenoAutoGarage  7 месяцев назад

      Unfortunately not, but if the 12v battery is still in the trunk (which most hybrids are) it should not be much different. Sites that sell these products like etrailer are good to lookup the right harness.
      If you do give it a try let us know with another comment how it went.

    Great video. Any idea if this Curt 56268 would work with a 2021 NX300h F-Sport?

      I would assume so, I do not believe there have been any changes to the NX until the next gen (250, 350, 450) ones came out this year.
      If you are unsure check a website like etrailer, they list vehicle compatibility for hitches.
