    Yo people! Firstly, both the tracks used are by REIN - more of their music is linked in the video description. Secondly, for anyone who missed either of the free programmes I put out over the past 6-9 months, those are both re-uploaded and the links to those are also in the description. Lastly, like my video goddammit!

    Started my first bulk with a training plan and an eating plan really made me make progress like crazy. Gained over 4kg of weight in 9 weeks (which seems rather excessive, but I added creatin so some weight comes from that). All my lifts went up more than 15%. But I struggle with the „not eating shit to reach the surplus’s“ a lot. Overall I am happy because I dropped fat so easily in the summer.

Question is at my age is more than 1g/1lb protein of body weight better for muscle growth. I try to do black coffee till lunch 3-4 days a week. Train 2-3 times a week. Cheers m8 - sick vids pal - Steve

    • @JoeDelaneyy

      Hi mate. I haven't seen anything to indicate you would need any higher than that, and actually most of the research comes in at below 1g per lb, so if you're eating 1g per lb you are likely already consuming enough protein and I don't think more would benefit you.

    • @lukaszloniewski2565

      If you want to go all in Ronnie Coleman style then You want to be more anabolic than catabolic throughout your day because there are different phases of catabolism in a day and by having more frequent meals you outweigh that catabolic phase, but as long as you meet your macros then you are Gucci and btw I’m the same as you (2x a day) because I’m too lazy to wake up early and eat breakfast 😂

I utilize both though still at times when i feel i need a change ill switch from volume to frequency every few months and then back again

You have a good amount of time before your duplicate workouts. Plus I found you can push your lifts that much harder when your focused on just push rather than push and pull for upper.

    Very Informative.... Actually that's a fact that it's easy to maintain a deficit than maintain a proper amount of surplus ... Because while cutting we are conscious about our calories but while gaining we become casual saying that "Man we are on a bulk so we can eat". Actually lean gaining at 150-300 calories at times becomes more taxing than 150-300 calories of deficit.

    • @JoeDelaneyy
      @JoeDelaneyy  5 лет назад +1

      Hi mate. You don't have to necessarily increase the weight used you achieve progressive overload. In basic terms, you just need to increase the work the muscle is doing. So that could be increasing reps, increasing range of motion, slowing down tempo/making form more strict, or a combination of those.

    More frequency, compound moves, better sleep, more animal based protein per serving (at least 40g). The increased muscle mass will burn more calories/fat so you can actually look leaner when bulking unless you go too heavy on the carbs! Get extra calories from protein and good fats not carbs.
