    You should try custom pellets. I've made one with a 1inch finishing nail. I've 3D printed the skirt/shell with the nail sitting tightly in the center. Looks like a mini tank shell. Would go through that wood at 9:05 easily. Also using a Gamo Magnum .22 cal. Fairly accurate at 50 yards as well for being something homemade.

    Lead head which do you prefer/ 177cal or 22cal?

    • @Leadheadsam
      @Leadheadsam  7 месяцев назад

      I haven’t been able to pick one , both calibers has some thing that the other doesn’t , like .22 always does more damage and .177 penetrant better

    You'd have to compare similar weights/mass to make any useable observartions ✌️
    A 20 grain cal177 vs a 20 grain cal22 going at the same speed, will have the 177 go further, and retain energy for longer.

    I’m saying .17 penetrates more, but 22 hits harder.

    your videos are great. im confused between gamo 4.5 or 5.5
    i care about penetration more. what is your advice for me? 4.5 or 5.5

    • @Leadheadsam
      @Leadheadsam  2 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for watching ! I realized the result of penetration test between 4.5 and
      5.5 can be different depending on materials
      I use, also weight and velocity of the pellet
      Is important too, but both calibers can penetrate very close to each other, but I still can’t pick one 🤦🏻‍♂️
      , but i recommend if you are planing to run your penetration test in longer distance use the .22 cal , in this video i was only 20 feet from target
