This was a great video, keep up the good work.
There are 5 remaining on active service. Very sad in deed. RIP 2004-2023. Can you do one on the Hawker Siddeley 1200's. So you don't have to enter Wellington Yard. You can film from the overpass and zoom in Or you stick your camera through the fence on Wellington Yard.
We have an upload planned soon for those, we recorded a bit of them!
I want to buy one!
Can you guys check out the retired D40LF'S at Albany unfortunately they retired too early:((((((
We weill definently look into those, as far as I know the only good filming spot for retired D40's is at the Quincy Center yard, but that would take some more planning.
@@BUATransitClub Why are there retired d40lfs there? Or are there?
@@Frankie_1211 From what I know Quincy yard only has D40's. I don't think the MBTA has sent them Xcelsiors yet, so I am guessing they have a bunch in service or retired.
@@BUATransitClub They won't get xcelsiors till the garage is rebuilt because the xcelsiors cant fit, There 08s will be retired from xe40s I believe.
@@Frankie_1211which is stupid of the MBTA
RIP, Each neoplan type is getting atleast one saved
Hopefully!
Neoplan USA was the best but Neoplans ads still being made overseas. It’s sad they got rid of all trolleys they will regret it in the future that’s why people are trying to bring back trolleys as well.
Sad 😭😭😭
poor babies!!!!
I’m wanting to get one to preserve it. Any idea when they’ll sell them? I see the auctioned off the trolleys. Hoping to get support from transit enthusiasts. Would even take ride alongs as well.
So we actually looked pretty deep into this, there is a company based in Brockton called “Chuckran Auto Parts” and they usually buy most of the retired MBTA buses. Some are sold privately and the auction information is available online. From multiple back to back conversations with them, they say that they scrap and ship out the buses internationally within a day of receiving them. Personally I doubt it and think they just say this to get transit enthusiasts to leave them alone, but it could be true. Definitely worth looking into!
@@BUATransitClub do you have contact info for them? I want one of these buses and hoping to get some transit enthusiasts involved as well. I have not seen an auction for these as of yet. And looking for the direct contact for the person at the MBTA who deals with the buses.
