  • In celebration of hip-hop's 50th anniversary, Pepsi MAX has teamed up with the estate of The Notorious B.I.G. to release the original studio version of a 1997 freestyle he did in reference to the drink on a hot summer day. This unique release is part of a dynamic international campaign, offering an immersive blend of experiences from street art to limited edition Pepsi MAX cans, all designed to pay homage to Biggie's irreplaceable influence on popular culture. Voletta Wallace, Biggie's mother, and CJ Wallace, his son, have expressed excitement about honoring Biggie's legacy and introducing his music to the next generation of fans. PepsiCo's Senior Director Global Marketing, Gustavo Reyna, acknowledged the campaign as an homage to an art form that has permeated all corners of the world. The freestyle is now available to stream, serving as an encore of Biggie’s talent presented to a new generation of music enthusiasts in unique ways.

When I first heard this, I was unironically drinking a Pepsi. Ever since I first heard it, I've been bumping it ever since.

Hmm interesting we all know he has skill and can basically rap about anything but I didn't know he sold out... I wonder how big a check Pepsi cut for him and of that check how much did puffy take? I don't know about this one, it would be like if ice T wrote a rap about joining the police academy. Meaning you put enough zeros on the check and I'll say whatever you want me too. I'm not trying to be self righteous because I would take money like that but it just doesn't feel like something he would've done. I was in middle school when ready to die came out I followed his career as best I could picking up mixtapes and demos in the city but I had no idea about this one.

It's just Pepsi but the biggest non sell out in hip-hop is DMX IMO. Hes a top 10 selling rapper that only played himself in movies and didnt do love songs outside of one with faith Evans that fit his style
