Hell, he was the master of compromising the differences between underground and mainstream rap into combining it with the most massive rap album I think there ever has been. People think his themes aren't diverse or single minded but are really missing the point of his ability of lyricism which is a reflection of all of his life influences, I find that to be the core of rap's stigma. The amount of subtle cultural references in his lyrics is mindblowing if you ever get the time to read anything of his on Genius its always a place to learn something.
