- In the high valleys of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, in Colombia, is an indigenous tribe that has lived here for more than 500 years: The Kogis.
The tribe lives in harmony with nature, the Sierra Nevada is in their eyes the center of the world, the Mother Earth that dictates the codes of their society. There are 12,000 individuals left in the world today.

There's no greed inside them...so beautiful...
Its fascinating to realized that uneducated and isolated people understands life and its connection to nature than those who are “educated” once.
❤
They even know some stars that you can't see from the earth...
uneducated about what or whom? the western world that has taught us nothing but to consume and devour?
At the end, when they showed the portraits, I could see so much power and beauty in their eyes... They seem to be wonderul people !
All i can see is beautiful faces and good heart..
❤️
People after my own heart!
Excellent these people are the wise adults of the world not like the consumer children..we can learn so much from them..I realise with all are consumer trappings it would be extremely difficult..but spiritually and physiological benefits abound
I love this people who love the mother earth..GOD bless them and protect them.. when i see my sorrounding with mountains without trees..why these people dont care..destroying forest ..i dont know what to say..how come there are persons who dont care with his invironment..
Carry on the good job . 😇
Beautiful People!
Beautiful hearts. So wise to stay away from the rest of the world ❤
The women weave
The men get high 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Beautiful video
So valuable yet so fragile are these people.
Fragile? They have survived for hundreds of years, quietly in the mountains, in front of the eyes of the invading Spanish who could not handle the terrain and other hardships. They are a true example of resilience and strength - the shinobi no mono of South America.
@@blasterbrain1443 Not them, the situation
They are not fragile....we are cruel
@@miriampacheco8923 Yes, you are right, and that's what I meant, thank you for your correction, 'fragile under "our" cruelty.
@@wendysalter 🙏❤️
Thank you so much
. .. such kind and connected humans 🌿
wonderful spiritual
Lovely people.
The Spanish Conqureres destroyed their native language & their young men so sad.
You mean white people
What a beautiful culture. Wonderful knowledge 🙏
💜
WOW
Simple life ..
interesting in some southeast Asian countries they use the betel nut with leaf 🍃 and crushed shells 🐚
It's a shame that people will try to take and destroy all that gorgeous land, that they have left... The best thing for them would be to have someone purchase(raise $ online or however) as much land as they possibly can afford, and either gift it to the tribe, or have someone (trustworthy) to hold the deed for them.
Tourism has become a disaster for them.
The Kogi people descendants of Aluna. I am your kin in faraway land of Negre and we are connected through the goddess Aluna, Mother Nature and the Universe. I connect to your consciousness and learn the ways of the universe from you. Peace and Love 🙏🏾
Aluna is not a God, Kogis Indians have no God. They are animist and respect all what Mother Earth created... Better than us...
how can I access the full documentary? Thank you for the upload :)

Listen to the wall-to-wall, heart strings plucking soundtrack, the soft proper English lady's narration. What a wonderful culture. Tell you what: This old bear smells a garbage dump.
Forests in the Santa Marta range are mostly second growth. But still beautiful.
TOURISM IS DESTROYING
Tourism is becoming a disaster for the Kogis
@@francoisecallier7674 TRIBES AROUND THE PLANET ARE BECOMING TOURIST ATTRACTIONS NOTHING WAS LEFT UNTOUCHED
I wonder what that was in the gourd that he ate with the stick?
Oh never mind I just had to wait a minute
Coca leaf 🍃
I wonder why humans and animals stick to the already trodden paths? The most direct route obviously but its the rigidity of it that is clearly illustrated in this video. All about structure and order.
Also, I ask myself, as these people appear to get no formal education and their minds aren't exercised, does that mean that they don't get bored?
No one is bored in nature, only modern humans
Enjoy our beautiful Ocean Planet, it is non linear.
@@seanogallchoir3237 I always figured that too until I learned that in Bačvice, Croatia, there are square waves, which occur when 2 weather systems directly collide. It works like a rip-tide, in the shallows.
What about their hair!?
It’s amazing that after all this, the narrator still refers to them as “Kogi Indians”🤦♀️
Hey younger brother just listen to big brother telling ,I believe the mother only talked to them not younger brother because she was so mad at you younger brother
Let's try the sandwich approach...
This is beautiful.
500 years is almost nothing, humans have never lived in harmony with nature, and you're making it weird by censoring that little kid.
Still, this is beautiful.
Come to Right ✅☝️☪️ ☝️✅..InshAllah ☝️🤲☝️
Please don't encourage tourists to visit the Kogi Indians in Colombia. Tourism has become a disaster for them.
Almost heard "Corgis are the last descendents of the Corona.."
The men do drugs while the women work on making goods for sale? 0.o
Sad that you didn't understand a clue about the Kogis.
