Titled THE BLACK LINE: A RED LINE FOR A MOUNTAIN, the final talk in a series on Living Mountains. It explains how the Kogi work with their mountain. Includes Q&A, 55 mins.
I discovered the existence of the Kogies on my own while visiting Colombia and heading straight from the airport to Santa Marta and Ciudad Perdida. The last evening after the four days rigorous hike, there was an indigenous man voicing the message from this documentary. The translator, one of the guides to the Lost City, carried the energy of the powerful converstaion. The name of the indigenous man is One who brings order where there is disorder. I had many questions and learned a lot from him. He told me that I am welcome to stay. A few days afterwords, I was lucky to have spent time by a big river near Palomino with Kogi tribes - the ones that very few tourists visit. After swimming in the river, my guide and my friend went for a short walk. There were two Kogi men, cutting long leaves for a roof for one of the huts that was build up the path. The children came to join me as I was finishing my lunch. I shared what was left, a tangerine, and everyone got a piece. They laughed and giggled and I took my phone to take some photos. At first shy, but after awhile posing and even doing the heart shape sign with hands. I played with them at the sand by the river. The guide witnessing all this joy and laughter, made a few short videos. Playing with the Kogi children, was a blessing for me. There was a genuine exchange of trust, laughter and joy. I am planning to go back again. I felt one with the mountain, its elements, power, the its spirit, and mostly - The Kogi people!!! A friend of mine send me the link for this documentary and I was overjoyed to watch it!!! Thank you for sharing the message of The Kogi people with the world!!!
This has always been one of my favourite songs. Such powerful lyrics. I’m 62 and when I was young I went on so many protests for human rights, peace etc. I so wanted to help create a better world. Sadly I feel that the world we live in isn’t the world I wanted to be the legacy left for future generations. I now see our UK government is trying to criminalise peaceful protest! My heart aches for the young. It seems that greed for power and wealth continues to drive so many people, and yet we are all equal in the face of death, something we all have in common. Whatever we’ve accumulated in our lifetime can’t be taken to our grave. We enter this world naked and leave it naked.
When they said “we now understand that younger brother does not realise Aluna is alive”. How ironic it is that we patronise them. Animistic / panpsychist technologies are beyond our current science.

It might be to late?;war is coming: the earth is awake from pain; as the Sun touches mother feels her call. She loves us all; though she grows tired of the ways of humans that take what’s is not there’s. Humans are sick with a disease and the human condition is the ill of the mind. Governments fight and the people don’t care as long they have everything the want and the thirst drives the soul insane with gluttony. I see it I fell it; though others walk blind and deaf. Our Sun is not asleep and will cleans the Earth and start a new as what was done in long ago times it will happen again. Man dose not understand this is the last of us as we don’t believe in the truth that mother is crying and pleading for all of us to stop and listen to the way of life or come under the stroke of death.. I sound crazy? It may be so? Do you want to risk the future of the youths of tomorrow? As I write this a thought comes an says this is falling on deaf ears and I say yes and it will be our death!
