And if Aldas beat him in a solid 20+ minute match. He’d instantly be a made man. I’d be ok with that. Now that Gunther’s got that Ic record it’s about time come mania to take Seth’s belt imo.
Nick Aldis is everything that I feel is right about pro wrestling. He talks with respect for the profession and conducts himself with class. I really stopped watching most of the NWA program when he left. He was the best thing about that organization and I'm happy he's got his foot in the door at WWE. It's my hope that they realize that there's a lot they could do with him as an active member of the roster
He is such a classy guy, well spoken, humble, a great storyteller, and extremely talented in the ring. Would love to see him have a run in WWE with a very long World Title run. (2,000 + days). His run with the NWA title was fantastic. This absolutely reminds me of Ric Flair carrying around the NWA and WCW World Title. Nick Aldis' character, attitude, mic work, and wrestling are unquestionably great, and now knowing he is a Brett Hart guy makes me like him even more. CVV.. another 5 star interview.
2,000+ days??? People started tiring of Reigns after 600 or 700 days. Rollins’ reign grew stale to many very quickly. I think fans would revolt before he reached 2000 days. That’s well over five years
CVV you are so good at what you do man, the interviews you conduct are always so candid, to the point and no pot stirring. Your contributions to the wrestling industry are highly valued and I hope you keep doing this at a greater level. All love
I know this is weird to say when presented with an excellent interview with an genuinely interesting guest but as a Brit who has family from the same area Mr Aldis is from, hearing small hints of the accent warms my heart
I love Nick's current presentation on Smackdown and I hope that all of this leads to him becoming an in-ring performer for WWE. He's such a class act all around and his knowledge of the business and his passion for it really comes through in this interview!
Was never a fan of tna or other companies but watching some reruns of njpw. I saw why Aj is a legit goat and belongs on any list with the rest of the top guys.
probably a year down the line where regal takes over as gm and aldis goes after the wwe title. he would of built lots of storylines with people such as him insulting dominik mysterio. so once he starts wrestling he has built in feuds and history to draw upon.
CVV, you knocked it out of the park with your interview. Nick is so fascinating and I won’t lie, I got really excited and goosebumps when I saw him on Smackdown.
at first I was very weird with Nick coming to wwe but he grew on me quickly and now is my Top 2 Smackdown GMS next to Teddy Long, Nick is really really good at the manager role for sure! Great interview Chris!
Great interview. Aldis seems so knowledgeable about wrestling and life in general as well as being a decent bloke. Mind you when you've got Mickie James bringing you tacos what's not to be happy about!
@@ChrisVanVliet you always produce quality interviews and you are the best interviewer I know as you let the guest always talk without interrupting them
Talk about a guy who you think is one way and is totally different in reality. Great interview. Haven’t heard many Aldis interviews so that is probably why I’m taken aback. But what a cool, smart dude. Hope he gets a chance for an in ring angle in the big show. I think a lot of people would dig it.
Magnus was one the only standouts on TNA for me during his title run. Thought he had it all, especially since I had stopped caring about TNA. He’s been fantastic in WWE-so good that it would now suck if he stopped being an authority figure lol. Great look, good on the mic, great in interviews, solid wrestler. He could easily be a top baby face along with Cody & Sami.
Excellent choice of Bret match. That Perfect match tends to get overshadowed by the Summerslam one but is probably a better pure wrestling match, just like the Survivor Series match with Austin gets little attention next to Wrestlemania 13 but is one of 'Stone Cold's best technical displays ever.
Chris you HAVE to get teddy long on the show. Personally one of my favorite GMs ever. Man had the UNDERTAKER as his personal hit man every Friday night 😂😂
Miss Nick Aldis being the NWA World Champion, he. Ric Flair and Harley Race were great champs, got to get his autograph one year at Wrestlecade and he was very nice to fans. Roddy Piper was one of our NWA NC greats and he and Hulk Hogan put WWE up to were there today. Aldis vs. Rhodes was great because it was about pro wrestling and the NWA World Title, Being the NWA World Champion is about pro wrestling and being a great wrestler and that is different from WWE, WWE being a great champ is Sports Entertainment like Hulk Hogan, Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Curt Henning was a great pro wrestler and AEW is on fire with big shows like WWE. Bret Hart vs. Ric Flair at Starcade would be a dream match.
Watching this after seeing Nick knee deep in his Smackdown GM run. Classy and wellspoken like a young William Regal... and he can still eat an RKO. lol!
NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion for 1043 days! WOW I don't know that! No wonder he's not scared 1% of Roman Reigns lol I never thought Nick Aldis is that big, now I know when he sit beside CVV! He looks awesome. He and Mickie is now together make me happier xD
Since Chris started advertising mudwtr, I gave it a go, it's great. That crash for sure doesn't happen, I'd recommend it for sure, thanks buddy for the ad.
Sorry to say this but sitting next to CVV Nick Aldis is a beast, the size of the man is insane, wonder what his work out setup is like? a pole and two horses perhaps ?
That explains why nick aldis is mad diesel 💪, he used to wrestle back in the day, I never knew who he was until triple h introduced him as the new smackdown General manager and by watching this video, nick is doing an excellent job 👏, as smackdown gm, he's the only one that stood up to the bloodline, he's fair and he doesn't cut corners, I hope that triple h keeps nick as the smackdown go for many more years to come ☝.

👍
Chris buddy great job. Also when are we going to do our interview bud??
I've tried mudwtr, it's great!
We need an updated interview! He’s killing it as SmackDown GM!
He'll eventually have a match, wonder who his first opponent will be.
@@bodycountplays2915Roman Reigns.
I love Nick! One of the greatest champions we have seen in any company in the last 20 years. That run he had in NWA was amazing!
Same!
Completely agree
Yup
But.... In hindsight.... He's not a good liar! He's getting redder and redder with every question about what he's doing with WWE.... 😂😂😂😂😂
I always thought highly of Nick Aldis but after watching this it has gone to a new level. Absolutely fantastic!
TBH Aldis vs. Gunther can be an old school classic for IC Title.
What if he brought back the ic title like Cody did and held it like the nwa title
And if Aldas beat him in a solid 20+ minute match. He’d instantly be a made man. I’d be ok with that. Now that Gunther’s got that Ic record it’s about time come mania to take Seth’s belt imo.

@@ChrisVanVlietHi
He's the best in the biz easily
I'm glad to see that Nick is doing good
This guy is definitely a WWE superstar material
Got promoted through your interview to the new SD GM ! Good job Chris :)
So glad he's still wrestling. Producing is a great FUTURE job! Hope Nick stays wrestling - love his matches.
I know this is weird to say when presented with an excellent interview with an genuinely interesting guest but as a Brit who has family from the same area Mr Aldis is from, hearing small hints of the accent warms my heart
I really enjoyed that 10 pounds of gold series. He made that show and belt mean something. Really great interview!
I met Nick while working at a grocery store in Virginia, very classy guy and humble. Glad to see he is still doing great.
I love seeing Nick and Mickie interact, you can tell they respect each others work

Nick is a class act!
His run as NWA champion was brilliant. I really hope he wrestles in WWE eventually.
Id love to see a repeat of Aldis and Rhodes feud
Maybe when Rhodes wins the title. Aldis comes out and they build that feud to be massive. Perfect opponent for Cody.

59:01 I paused the interview just to go watch that match and it was just as great as Nick said. I haven’t seen it in years.
He seems like a chill guy. I like him.
Another great interview Chris, keep up the great work my friend.
Thanks BNB!

Hands down one of the best interviews. I've enjoyed all of them but this one I enjoyed the most. Great episode.
This guy brought prestige back to the NWA title , awesome to see him with wwe , his presence alone has elevated smackdown ,
imagine this..
Gunther v. Nick Aldis
I love Dutch's podcast too, catch new episodes Tuesday and Thursdays!
Hope to see him have a rematch with Cody in WWE once he has the belt
I appreciate nicks honesty. It's very refreshing. I really like him a lot.
Great interview. Aldis seems so knowledgeable about wrestling and life in general as well as being a decent bloke. Mind you when you've got Mickie James bringing you tacos what's not to be happy about!
Hope gets to wrestle soon like to see him as US champion
Loved this interview Chris

He sold the hell out that RKO. If I’m correct he didn’t rotate his back?

Respect to Nick Aldis.
He's one hell of wrestler.
💯👊🏻
And gladiator
I could listen to aldis talk wrestling all day he makes it sound romantic when speaking about the psychology of it all
Didn’t even know who this guy was but honestly found the interview great
Nick & Mickie are the cutest couple. So happy for both of their success.
Pure class

The beard is too perfect. Two fingers above the adams apple!
HE SOUNDS LIKE A COMPANY MAN TO A COMPANY THAT DOESNT HAVE FAITH IN HIM
I could see Nick on Collision
Me too
British Wrestling Legend Magnus aka Nick Aldis
NICK ALDIS IN WWE FEELS AWESOME... HOPE 1 DAY HE WILL WRESTLE IN WWE IF NOT LOVE HIM AS G.M.
If I had a promotion , Nick would be my main heel constantly he can play the british snob role so well and plus he got a great build .
Magnus was always a great hogan era type good guy. Respect.
gosh, i had the biggest crush on Nick/Magnus =) so happy for and proud of him
good stuff
At first I thought he was going to be a heel GM when he started on Smackdown. Man he turned that around fast.
Elevated the Smackdown experience .
I'd love to see nick wrestle in wwe! Maybe one day.
Sorry to say this but sitting next to CVV Nick Aldis is a beast, the size of the man is insane, wonder what his work out setup is like?
a pole and two horses perhaps ?
Wwe sign this man as an in ring talent please
I enjoyed this video
I didn't even know Nick Aldis used to be a wrestler. It's kinda weird seeing him not wearing an expensive suit 😂
Watch the first All In. Nick Aldis vs Cody Rhodes for the NWA World Title.
I think I'm the only one person the world that interested on the topic of his role in 2008's revival of the UK version of the Gladiators
Nick Aldis is such a nice guy & gentleman!👏🎩👍
What a guy!!!

Aldis is so underrated. He needs a Wrestlemania moment.
I can see Nick Aldis as WWE version of Okada or make him leader of faction that consists of Miz, Theory, and Grayson Waller
Ohhhh you know no big deal just a average Tuesday hain’ with Nick. and Mickey brought us tacos at their palatial estate. 🤯 Hollywood CVV. 😎
Yo nick never forget gatorbeam!!! Harley race camp 06 baby lol
Would be amazing to see him complete the set of world titles by winning a big one in WWE
Congratulations to the new Smackdown General Manager!
I like that after all these years in the States, Aldis still has that Norfolk slur to his accent
Nick Aldis is an absolute throwback to the classy professional.
When will you do the interview of the Von Erichs, especially the Iron Claw is coming out
If they do a UK wrestlemania having Cody vs nick aldis 2 would be amazing
I hope once he’s headlined mania and won the belt he can be the next James Bond.
Was hoping he'd ask him about the main event mafia and Bram.
