"Now let's talk about losing your gold mask, because that's a pretty amateur mistake." Well so far, G2 Lewa only lost his mask once, which we sadly cannot say the same for G1 Lewa.
Hi there, LEWA apologist here. He lives in a jungle, he's one of the few that had a TEAM of Corrupted Rahi in his jungle, and his entire Matoran Village and Turaga were taken by the Bohrok BEFORE him, and were the ones that tricked him into being captured. Context is King
I think that if they wanted to go ahead with changing air to jungle for Lewa, they should have changed Pohatu's element to air (removing the whole earth/stone confusion) hehe
+Shade2800 He's not really that serious, just smarter. In fact, the G2 versions of Lewa and Kopaka are actually smarter than the originals so far. Especially Kopaka. It went kinda like this: Gali: Well, we defeated Makuta's latest threat only by working as a team, and if we remained separate, we would have all been killed. Pohatu: Yeah, that happens a lot. Onua: We should really stick together this time. Kopaka: Well I'm not! I'm going to go and be a loner again because Tahu annoys me. And then the Toa start infighting and arguing again and go their separate ways... and then the new villains show up and curbstomp the Toa by working as a team, and Kopaka doesn't learn anything. The Toa Mata/Nuva were pretty bad at that whole "Unity" thing.
+Shade2800 Yeah, as far as introducing the new Lewa character as he appears to be in the cartoons, this video did not succeed. I was focusing more on my idea of the relationship between new Lewa and old, and for some reason I imagined G2 being hesitant to G1's conventions, but hearing him out respectfully. In retrospect, I'd think G2 would probably fly away from G1, but that wouldn't really fit as well into the conversation format of these videos. Sorry if none of this made sense, I'm writing it at 2 in the morning for some reason. lol
+CallanLoF No it makes sense. Sure it might not be the perfect representation of either character, but it can't be because they're not in a setting that allows them to be. And even with this one, it gives the impression that Lewa Koto is just getting tired of Lewa Mata's pestering, so he's just reached the point of giving up.
+CallanLoF So basically the new Lewa is Boring....... uuuggghhhhhhh Toa of Air were usually carefree and somewhat hyperactive and impulsive. They were often very quick and clever, reacting swiftly to situations. However, sometimes they would also not completely think things through, and pay for the consequences. LOL Lewa represents the immaturity of the Old-Bionicle fan-base so well with his perspective on the new Lewa. Although, he does have a point: for a "Master of Jungle", Lewa sure seems to be holding back on using said powers implied (I blame the writers for that).
He should just be a toa of plantlife. But bruh, the immaturity of the old fanbase? most people who like the new stuff are literal babies and the fandom has a right to get angry at how little lego cared for g2s story and how dumbed down it was. its nobody's surprise g2 crashed and burned.

Granted, but that's armor on my moc(and those are spikes on his arms not leaves). If we are just going by canon and the OG Lewa set, leaves were never a visual that appeared on Lewa, only as the setting around him.

It's funny that the animations make the remark where Lewa feels a breeze and they mention,"What are you, the Toa of Air?" I just find it both weird and funny since he should be the Air Toa instead of the Jungle Toa

Classic Lewa sounds like a combination of Vic Mignogna and Todd Haberkorn. Also, Lewa manipulated some vines to trap the ashbear in Mask of Light, so he really has no room to criticize.
It makes more sense that he's the master jungle/plantlife cause the region where he's at is surrounded by plantlife. And green is the color that better represents the element. When you think of how to represent air, the last thing that comes to mind is a jungle landscape.
Love the color palette of both, the masks of both, the weapons of both, lewa g1s leaf chest plate, Lewa g2s wings, love the spelling and vibe of name lewa, but dislike the feet.
well sense the new Netflix Bionicle show will start next year (can't remember the exact date but it was also announced and in the leaked page of Kopaka for next year), you will have more to grasp on the newer personalities.
also if you ever wanted to stretch Lewa's Jungle abilities he could technically use air, that is produced by plants. so if you want to ever stretch it. cause honestly his else does Lewa glide/fly with those tiny arm blades?
Well I guess the old Lewa also had some kind of control over the jungle considering those vines grabbing the ash bear in Mask of Light...I don't think the air blew those ;) Great video as always!
Old Lewa is every bit of why G1 is better: funnier, iconic (I love the chute-speak) and most importantly - original. G2 Lewa has less personality than a Vahki.
