Hey my beauties, links for all the ingredients can be found in the description box. Hope you enjoy this recipe! ^_^
do you use it before or after you wash your hair
@@sevinanikolova7032I think after
So I can basically do my hair and eat my products at the same time? Sounds like a win to me
I like your outlook, you've got the right ideas 😜
😂😂😂
HAHAHHA
Yes if you can’t eat it it’s not good for your hair 😌
@@kedits7680 ok *eats shampoo*
I added a little bit of jojoba oil and sweet almond oil for additional moisture and this became the most moisturizing I've ever used! This recipe is it. This is the one to follow!!
That is SO awesome to hear ❤️, thanks for the love 🙏🏽
Searched for (literally) hours on best clean projects for my baby girl’s curly hair. Came across your video. THANK YOU. look forward to making my own products knowing EXACTLY what’s in it.
You're welcome!
I made this mask back in mid January and I’ve only gone through about a third. My hair has never looked better bruh, follow this recipe!!!
Thank you for sharing your experience 💓💕
@@LotusFlowerLifeis it safe to use honey? I'm scared that will it make my hair grey..can I skip Honey??
@@harinipanneerselvam3869 you can skip the honey BUT keep in mind the texture will not be as fluffy without it. You can alternatively try agave if you want to keep the same texture 💓
It looks so luxurious and so does your hairrrr - hit me up when I can order 😬
It seriously is! I even used the butter on my body, I already finished the whole jar 😭
I'm so excited to try this! I've been trying to go non-toxic on everything. I'm so grateful to have found your page. Is there another oil I can use instead of grapeseed that won't change the consistency or effectiveness? 🙏🏽
Hi my love welcome to the Lotus Flower Life fam 💕🤗. A good alternative to grapeseed oil would be jojoba oil. It is a little bit heavier than grapeseed but can still do the job.
If you want to use fresh Aloe Vera gel simply collect the gel and Infuse it with an equal amount of raw honey in a glass air tight container. Will last up to 3 years
That's an awesome tip! Thanks for sharing ❤️🙌🏽
Fr fr?
Frr?
But do I have to refrigerate it?
What would be an alternative to mango butter? As it is non-existent here 🧍♀️
Try shea butter
Great video, I love the recipe but I don't understand whether I have to wash this, if yes, how long should I keep it on my hair? Or is it leave-in? Thank you a lot :)))
Hi love, this is a cream to leave in your hair. A very tiny bit goes a long way so I highly recommend using a light hand when using it.
I live in the tropics I won't even attempt to put honey in my hair😂the insects here are a different breed
lol you are def right about that!
Yummy curly cream souffle for hair....you're amazing 💕
It really is amazing 😍
can you do a video about how you dry your hair :) it would help!
So excited to try this! I’m allergic to Aloe Vera. What’s an alternative I can use?
Wow it's really works.. 😍
Can I use coconut oil except grapeseed oil?
Of course! You can use any oil your hair loves ❤️
Hi, I have a question
Can I use it for a short curly hair? And if yes how do I use it
And thank you for this nice video 👍🏻
Of course you can! You can use it as you would any other store bought curl cream. With this one a very tiny bit goes a long way 💕
@@LotusFlowerLife I’ll make it today thank you 💙💙
Thank u so much for this, yk good curl creams are so expensive so this helps me sm and helps other people
I'm happy to help!
@@LotusFlowerLife btw how much can I use the same curl cream? :)
Should I apply it on my roots as well
You can apply it about an inch from your roots to tip. Just make sure to not to put it directly on your scalp.
Can we directly apply after shampoo as a leave in without washing hair again...
Is this a leave in cream?
Hi there! How much of a hold does this have? Or is rather more of a leave in conditioner?
Someone PLEASE help me understand why aloe Vera causes my hair to have EXTREME static!
If I leave the aloe in my hair or even wash it out with water (even if I've applied it to wet hair) my hair are super shiny, soft, glossy and put together, but just SOOOO tangled and literally crackle with static! Why is this happening? I think I have medium porosity hair and my mum and brother both have high porosity hair and they have the same results? I can't find anyone else on the internet with the same reaction as I have with aloe! Even my body hair get static!
What type of preservative would you use? And how do you know how much to use?
Hi love, I didn't use one because it isn't water based. All the butters and oils used have a very long shelf life. ^_^ This exact recipe lasted me about 6 months.
Such a blessing ❤ found this page now
🤗Welcome to the Lotus Flower Life fam, I'm happy to have you! 💕

😊 thank you for this recipe beautiful! I'm going to try it out ❤
My pleasure 😊
@@LotusFlowerLifecan u answer my question plzzz😊
Wait, did you apply the cream on you hair and then wash it off or you applied it after washing you hair?
I applied it after washing my hair
How long does this last you during the when having to apply again?
I don't have mango butter what can I do
Can i use almond oil instead of grapeseed oil?
Yes, you can use any oil that your hair loves ❤️
Great video ❤️
I don't have vitamin e oil on hand....is there a substitute for that?
Can we use aloe vera from a aloe vera leaf?(:
I don't mind making a little bit of thr curly cream each time I decide to use it rather then making it to last for a few months
Yeah, you can. It will last only 1 week refrigerated. 💜
Tysm♡
Hi, thankyou so much for video.. i want to ask, can i replace mango butter with shea butter??
Yes, If your curls love Shea butter go for it!
What preservative should we use
Do u wash it after applied of use it as a leave in
I use it as a leave in before my styler. You can get my fully updated curly hair routine here bit.ly/39Zhfj2 I explain all the products I'm currently using and in what order to get defined curls.
Do I have to refrigerate this in order to extend its shelf life?
Nope, there is no water in the ingredients. It is safe to use without refrigeration and it can last up to 6 months without it ❤️
@@LotusFlowerLife what can i use as a preservative if a water containing ingredient is added, please reply
@@LotusFlowerLife thank you ❤️
How do you use it? As a leave in ?
Should I keep this the refrigerator?
Do you put this on wet or dry hair?
I applied this on damp hair
what preservatives does contained in the aloe vera gel ?
Certain preservatives like sodium benzoate (synthetic) and potassium sorbate (natural) are okay, but avoid harmful ones like parabene or IPBC or even fragrance.
Thank you for your video, very informative. Could you please tell me where do buy your mango butter? Thanks!
Your welcome! I bought the mango butter from amazon amzn.to/2Ldbkab
@@LotusFlowerLife Thanks so much, I am glad I discovered your channel. I wish you much success!
does this leave an oily residue on your neck? does the oil drain from your scalp or stain your clothes? also, does the product go bad after several months?
Nope it doesn't as long as you are using a very small amount it shouldn't. This is a highly concentrated curl cream, a very tiny bit goes a long way. It lasts 6 months so long as you use aloe vera with a preservative already in it, the one I recommend for the recipe is linked in the description.
I don't have mango butter or grape seed oil ? Any replacement?
You can use shea butter, cupuacu butter, muru muru butter really the sky is the limit. Customize it with any you have on hand to use. Just keep in mind, if you use shea butter its super heavy and can potentially weigh down your hair giving different results.
How long can yhis last without getting old or wtv
And do i put it in the fridge
Hello! This looks great! Do you know how much difference it would make if I left the honey out?? 🤔
Hi! Thank you 🤗, the honey adds a bit more fluffiness to the texture of the curl cream but if you need an alternative you could test out agave.
@@LotusFlowerLife aww thanks for replying! 🥰 I’ll try that and see! 😊
Similar hair texture! But, using only flaxseeds leave my hair very brittle. Defined, but no movement. I hope this cream works for me. What can I replace the aloe vera gel with? I don’t think aloe does the best in my hair.
Whenever I use flax seed gel it dries as a hard cast which is great for holding the curls in place while they dry. A key step is to put a little bit of jojoba oil in your hands and squeeze all the crunch out after its 100% dry. That completely gets rid of all the hardness from the gel cast and leaves you with very soft touchable curls. If that doesn't work, you can always give hibiscus gel a try as an alternative to both aloe vera gel and flax seed gel. Just keep in mind that all gels dry to somewhat of a hard cast to protect the curls as they dry and you may need to still squeeze out the crunch with a lightweight oil. Hope this helps
Love this 🥰
Can I add flax gel too
How much is the shelf life
Wow awesome, how long does it last
With fresh aloe: two weeks refrigerated & with preserved aloe 3 months @ 2:22
Can we use Normal Butter instead of mango Butter?
Plz no
can i use this on my low porosity fine curly hair?
Yes, just use a light hand
So do I put this on after a shower or put it in and then rinse it off?
You can use it as a body butter right after the shower while your skin is still damp. Or you can use it on damp hair for styling💜
Does it go bad?
May I use Shea butter instead of mango butter will this give me the same results? This is the butter I have on hand? 😍
Yes! You can use ANY butter that agrees with your hair 😆
Time to work out how much this would cost to make and just do it because my current products are decent but not making the cut
Can i heat things to mix?
Can I use Shea butter
You can try shea butter but the creams' consistency will be A LOT heavier and will weigh your curls down and create build up over time.
Omg I tried doing this but with Okra gel and it was an absolute fail hahah 😢
What size jars were those ?
I'm not sure the exact size but the link for it is in the description. It should say the size on Amazon
Will this make my hair curly if I have straight hair? Answer quickly, please! Thanks!
Hi love, no it doesn't. It only enhances naturally curly hair 💜
@@LotusFlowerLife Oh, ok, thank you!!
How to use ma'am?
Could you do one that smells like coconut??
just add a coconut fragrance oil
I think I may have messed up the first batch from my use of honey as the honey I had was crystallised, I assumed it would dissolve but it came our grainy, Im gonna see if I can heat it up a little to mix and try and dissolve the honey
You can also test it out with a more smooth syrup like honey if you want to skip that extra step. A really great one that I get is from whole foods called Heavenly Organics. This one a very smooth texture
@@LotusFlowerLife I ended up doing a double boil method and some of the grainy Ness is gone now, might do it again until it becomes smooth
No preservative? How can it last for months? Do you refrigerate?
I answered all of these questions in the video. If you use aloe with a preservative like I suggested it will last you for months. If you use fresh aloe it must be refrigerated and used within two weeks.
Can you use it to your skin also?
Absolutely!
Can I use Shea butter !?
sure, you can use whatever base you like. I just prefer mango butter because its more lightweight
@@LotusFlowerLife i have naturally wavy hair, will adding so many oils make my hair oily after wash? please reply
@@bajikeisuke3588 i think this exact recipe will be good for u, just don't add too much on ur hair
Do this product before the bath or after the bath ??
After 🙂
Is there anything I can sub for aloe? I’ve noticed aloe isn’t great for my hair
Hibiscus gel would be a good alternative
I tried this yesterday but it doesn't seem like the aloe gel wants to mix with the butter 😭 I heated it and that helped a lot but it's still not like yours
Aloe gel naturally wants to separate from the butters because its essentially water (oil & water don't mix) and I didn't include an emulsifier. When I made it using my ninja blender it mixed it really well and then I kept it in the fridge to make sure it didn't separate. If it does continue just give it a good mix with a spoon and you should be good!
Can i use shea butter instead of the mango one ?
Sure 😊
@@LotusFlowerLife thanku so much dear
Can we use Shea Butter instead?
Yes you can, it will just create a heavier curl cream.
I love your videos
Thank you love!
Does this work for high porosity hair?
Yes
I cant find the recipe 😢
What can I use instead of hair butters?
I love to use herbal hair oils when I'm not using hair butter ❤️.
Make a video using this on your husbands hair!
I WISH! I'm not sure if he'd let me do that....
I got him to agree! Haha
How long this product can be preserved?
If you use Aloe vera gel with a mild preservative already in it, it can last up to six months. If you use fresh aloe like I did (which I wouldn't recommend for a long shelf life) it will last a couple of weeks in the fridge. Def use store bought aloe if you want it to last.
How can you conserve it for a long
time ?
By using aloe vera that has a preservative already in it. That is the only ingredient that does not have a long shelf life so a store bought one works best for longevity.
Is this only for women?
Anyone can use this 💜
how long does the mixture last ?
It can last 3 - 6 months depending on your usage
can i add in jojoba oil
I'd def swap it out with one of the other oils so that it doesn't get too heavily moisturizing
@@LotusFlowerLife thanks hun,ur recipe works great on my brothers thick hair but its too heavy for me..however thank you and love from Malaysia💕
Is it preservatives
if you use fresh aloe vera, then it will last two weeks. if you use store bought aloe vera that has light preservatives in it, then it will last six months :)
