  • This is the very first hike I have ever done at North Cascades National Park in Washington! The Blue Lake Trail was an awesome introduction to this beautiful National Park! This trail is labeled as moderate at a 4.6-mile round trip and 921 feet of elevation gain. This is a really nice hike with amazing scenery along the way! The best part of this hiking adventure was the actual lake itself! I have never seen a lake that blue color before, which was absolutely jaw-droppingly beautiful! This is totally a must-do hike when visiting North Cascades National Park!

My family and I hiked this trail in July. It was amazing to say the least. The lake and mountains surrounding this area is breathtakingly beautiful. So glad we got to experience this trail for ourselves.

@@adventuringoutdoorswitheric I just found your channel today an I enjoyed it. I am trying to get the courage up to start my own channel to encourage those "of a certain age" to stop putting off and enjoy life today!!

@attagirltravels Thank you so much! I am glad that you found me and that you are enjoying my content.
Starting up a RUclips channel and growing an audience takes time and a lot of work. My channel is definitely not as big as I would like it to be, but at least have a little bit of a following. The main thing is to have fun doing it. I really enjoy the filming and editing part of it. It's very therapeutic and a fun hobby.

Nice! Thanks for sharing. I'll be there in early August and looking forward to exploring this hike. I did some hikes in the Canadian rockies last year along the Ice-fields parkway and this lake reminds me a bit of some of the scenery in Alberta.

Well, basically, when the trail turns to go toward the lake, just keep going straight and then turn left up the hill, and I'll take you to that view. Thanks for watching.

Boardwalks are fine surfaces for walking because of that springy feeling.

Hi Eric my husband and I are planning on coming to the Las Vegas area to hike for the first 2 weeks in April 2023. We plan on Hoover Dam, Lake Meade area, Valley of Fire, Red Rock Canyon, Gold Strike Hot springs, Cathedral Gorge SP and possibly doing Ruby Mts later on. Is there anything else in that area you would recommend? I know you are very familiar with that area. Thank you.

    • @adventuringoutdoorswitheric

FYI Ruby Mountains is a 7 hour drive from Las Vegas. Yes you also want to visit Mt Charleston and do some hiking there. Snow Canyon State Park in Utah is 2 hours away and has super cool trails. Oh and an hour and a half away there is a place called the China Ranch Date Farm. They have cool trails there as well.
Here is my RUclips video playlist of the hiking trails are Las Vegas to give you ideas. If you have any questions let me know.
