- North Cascades National Park is located in the North Cascades Mountain range of Northern Washington. In this video we show you 11 amazing stops you could stop at while driving through North Cascades National Park. From amazing mountain views, to viewing a ton of waterfalls, to seeing beautiful glacial blue lakes, and hiking in a temperate rain forest. This park is such a beautiful and stunning National Park. It reminds us so much of Glacier National Park in Montana.

This was day 9 of our road trip from FL to Vancouver, Canada where we get on a cruise ship and sail the inside passage of Alaska.
Day 9: 191miles/307km Total drive time 4 hours
Started our day in Winthrop, Washington, drove 1 hour to the beginning of the scenic highway through North Cascades National Park,(Spent all day enjoying North Cascades) then drove 1.25 hours to Burlington, Wa.

You are getting pretty far North. Looked like a beautiful area to visit. That is a beautiful highway for a scenic drive. I would definitely be carrying bear spray on any of those trails. Huge trees! Awesome to see the waterfalls and the unique color of the glacier water lakes. Awesome tour of the area. So fun. Have a great day.

I feel like I might want to visit this park. This might be our destination if we ever make it to Washington state. It's just so pretty! Love the falls. And the overlook from the visitor center is amazing! Maybe we'll get there one day.

We were lucky to get parking at Rainy Lake as we got there early. The trail was a super easy and paved .9 miles to a beautiful alpine lake. We also hiked to Blue lake which is super popular and finding parking was hard; we had to park on the sides of the main scenic byways. Then lastly we did the Diablo Overlook, was a beautiful turquoise lake, so mesmerizing.
