The right oil …..I love when someone does they homework on what oil to use the proper oil ….there’s is so much misinformation on oil type recommendations on RUclips is crazy…….. great video respect 🫡 💯🤘
You should buy some race ramps. They worked well for my zl1 1le, m340 xdrive and 2025 m2. Also buy some bmw pucks for lifting on the bmw jack points. Also I would torque the oil filter housing. I believe it is 18 ft lbs or 25 newton meters. Also make sure you removed the crush washer.
Great tips! I used the puck pads when raising the car and torqued the filter housing as of event. I also swapped the crush washer. I’m looking into getting race ramps I hear they are great. Thanks for watching!
It's great to work on your own car, but please get some ramps or make your own out of 2x12s. Make them them really long and step them up every 16" or so and cut the ends on an angle, use liquid nails. Not worth getting crushed under your car. Enjoy your M3.
Nope! BMW made it digital 🤷. Have to test it once the car is up to proper operating temperature then it does a test on a level surface. Then shows the graph of how much is filled.
@@ferozmoto6766 My Audi has oil filter on top as well, with a dipstick tube (no dipstick) so I never have to get under my car. Just extract oil from top. To check oil level it's digital too. Silly Germans haha

I appreciate it!

It’s easier if you change the rubber O-ring before you put the new filter in.
Haha yes, I figured that out on the next one. Thanks for watching!
Just picked up a G87 last week and I am imagining since it is the same engine should be the same process. Thanks for the vid bro!
Yep! Same process! Thanks for watching 👍

I agree! My setup was really sketchy. I will be getting a more safe setup for the next one. Thanks for watching!
@@ferozmoto6766 No problem.
BTW, the oil filter placement is silly. Is there oil dipstick or a dipstick tube?
