I liked him best in Million Dollar Baby (2004; won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor). I also liked him in Driving Miss Daisy (1989), Glory (1989), Unforgiven (1992), The Shawshank Redemption (1994), Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012).
Shawshank Redemption is #1 for sure, but The Magic of Belle Isle could be #2. That or the one where he plays God. How does anyone in this day and age develop such dignity and compassion? Morgan Freeman has that in abundance, even in an interview. It's just part of who he is.
I came here to see maybe I can find more suitable movie like Shawshank Redemption as I have watched it more that 50 times. That is the best movie of all time ~ talking about rock hammer, that tone when all prisoners stood and listen, combination of both two people was incredible amazing. As I didn't want to accept their sex discrimination (women with shorts could enter) I entered anyway. 2-3 minutes after the movie had begun, lights were switched on and 3 guys entered. Of course I knew why. I insisted on my money back and got it but no 7 that day or year. Wow, over 25 years ago...
