Eagles Bassist and Singer Timothy B Schmitt was THEIR original player and singer....He left for the Eagles(who pursued him hard) after Rand Meisner left the Eagles......Poco was part of that Movement of the 70's in LA.....There is a great Documentary about the band.
I got to see them live in 1980 (I was 16!!) at the Universal Amphitheater when it actually WAS an outdoor theater. They opened up for another great band of that era, Little River Band. GREAT back-to-back bands‼ The songs and sounds of my youth‼🥰

One of my favorite songs of all time. I like to play the song right before it on the album "Heart of the Night" as kind of an appetizer. they go together so well together.

Poco is the foundation of this kind of musical genre that gave birth to Eagles and more. Rusty Young, who wrote this song still keeps Poco going these days. Randy Meisner left Poco and joined the Eagles when they formed and was replaced in Poco by Timothy B Schmit. When Meisner left Eagles, Timothy B moved into his slot with the Eagles. Jim Messina (Loggins & Messina, etc.) was also first a member of Poco. Poco is an incredibly influential band that gave birth to many others.
Poco was an American country rock band originally formed in 1968 after the demise of Buffalo Springfield. Guitarists Richie Furay and Jim Messina, former members of Buffalo Springfield, were joined by multi-instrumentalist Rusty Young, bassist Randy Meisner, and drummer George Grantham.
I remember hearing this song back in 1979. I was in the Army at Ft Sill, OK. It came on the AM radio in my car. Had to get home and try to find it on an FM station. Then, to the record store. All these years later and it still sounds great. RIP Rusty Young, ya kid good son.
I got to tell you if I was singing in that group I'd be smiling too... It probably would take me a few rehearsals, not to tear my eyes up with joy. There's nothing in this world that feels the way it feels, when you sing good harmony with people who can sing good Harmony.
Jamal, do yourself a favour man and listen to Poco's '' Crazy Eyes'' you will not be disappointed. The first time I heard this song it spun me around ... really ... take a listen to one of the great pieces of rock. Keep on jammin' brother.
