You brought me so much peace, Katie. Those views are soo beautiful and to have that with a full yarn episode is a treat. It has always been so calming and restful listening to you. Thank you.
Thanks again Katie - the wisdom and sensitivity of your opening comments were a real blessing. Podcasts such as yours help many people to cope with ongoing situations in the wider world - no need to feel guilty! It was such a treat to have a full-on yarn episode, inspiring and encouraging! Love your self-drafted sweater and your other finished pieces! Looking forward to your next video already!
I am a crocheter learning to knit, and I just found your podcast tonight after work. What a lovely, calm, and inspirational podcast; I will be so happy to watch your previous videos! I especially loved the walks in your beautiful countryside with your adorable dog, Jack. (My two little pups have been enjoying cold winter mornings here in Virginia by crawling under the covers while I sit up in bed knitting--best way to watch the sun coming up over the mountains!)
Isn’t it amazing all the ways our creative inclinations are alive and hovering around us even when they don’t present themselves clearly to us for awhile! All we do is constantly informing our craft in ways we don’t notice or appreciate. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Katie, I always love watching your videos ;) My little jack russell (Jr) is showing his age more and more now (16years), it makes me smile to see your little guy hopping along with you on your walks. I'm currently working on the half and half shawl and so far I think it's going to be amazing. Your sweater (jumper) looks wonderful on you, great job ;) hugs Donna (aka Sunshine)
Oh the velvety greens on your walks! so beautiful. I always wonder when I watch you walking Jack, what would happen if you left him off lead? Would he beetle off for ages? Of course you want him in shot. And speaking of which, your videographer takes the most wonderful clips on your walks. My knitting waxes and wanes with my mood : sometimes if I am very worried about stuff, I just cannot focus.....I bought some of your washi tapes as a christmas present. They were well received, especially the newts :) I also got myself a frog pin, which sits on my doggie walking bag :)
As the world we live in is scary and very unsettled podcasts such as yours are a real beacon of light, a time to sit with a friend and knit. Thankyou so much for making them Katie, I wish you health and happiness for 2024 💚
You look so very happy showing off your shawl! It made me smile too. I love so much seeing your walks with the vast countryside all around you. Thanks for sharing all you do.
Your new oversized sweater looks so cosy and suits you so well. I love the new one on the needles too. I like listening to your thoughts on seasonal knitting as well. Lots of cuddles to dear Jack x
Your self drafted pull over sweater looks lovely and comfy. I want to compliment your hair - it is so pretty today. I like that fancy hoodie. I’m just beginning my garment knitting journey so of course I want to make everything 😊 I so enjoy the scenic walks with Jack.
Nice to see you back! Happy New Year....I think that avoiding the news and focusing on knitting videos from around the world helps me to relax and keep my thoughts more positive. All your knitting is lovely and the park is beautiful although I admit I was surprised at the lack of trees. I am in Western Canada (an hour east of the Rocky Mountains) and we have so far had a beautiful winter with temperatures above zero on most days and the snow melts soon after arriving. We are hoping for more snow for the farmers as we have been in a drought situation on the prairies for the past several years and we don't want / need another year of never ending forest fires. Keep on with your knitting!
What a comfortable looking jumper Katie ! Beautiful mittens too😍 I have defiantly come to realise high neck garments are so cozy in our Welsh Winters . I made the Skyhill hat in Peace fleece and it’s the warmest hat I own. I also have enough wool for matching fingerless gloves. Sending you and Jack best wishes for the New Year.
Oh my, Katie! You are truly a symphony in greens on your walk, your goal having a completely handmade wardrobe must be there. The plaid shirt/coat is fabulous and you look like you belong in that landscape forever. And Jack’s coat! 😊 So glad you knitting energy is back, mine is also.
What a treat to join you today. I love your episodes and really appreciate your insightful comments, creative awareness - things to think about, along with all the beauty you share. Well done on your jumper, shawl and mitts - they're so gorgeous and I can see why you feel so well in them. My dream as a knitter is to achieve just that. :-) Very inspiring!!
I enjoy watching all about your knitting, your walks in the beautiful countryside, and especially seeing Jack! (From a knitter and JRT family in Leeds, Maine, USA)
Hi, Katie. I love your over-sized sweater! The colour is perfect on you. The shawl/blanket is gorgeous! The fingerless squirrel gloves are so cute. I like your newest cast on. I wish you health and happiness in 2024❤️
Thank you Katie for all the time you’ve given freely over the last years and those before. I sure do enjoy seeing the scenery that you share and your fine knits. And Jack ! Here’s to the coming new year 🎉
I told my son, who lives in London, (I live in Australia) that I liked your tea towel, so he bought me 2 and the pin with the sheep standing on the ball of yarn for Christmas. I was so excited to receive it, I love it a lot. Your packaging was impeccable, which was not a surprise, much admired. Thanks.
Katie, what is the plant next to you? 🌿it looks like a peace lily. Love all the finished items, especially the mitts🐿. We lost power last spring and had no heat in the house for five loooong cold days! I found myself wearing all of my knitted things at once too. 😂I have chilblains as well, both hands and feet, and totally understand what it means to keep warm or else face the pain😮. Happy new year and love to Jack🐾🐾🐾
Summer knitting shifts for me to cotton washcloths needed for the home, Christmas ornaments and small gifts, cotton mix sweaters…a ton of things can be for summer knitting!
Hello from southeast Australia! I’m a recent watcher of your podcast and, like other commenters, find it a peaceful interlude in these times. I love going on your walks with Jack too! Your garments look so cosy. I have no need for such warm items where I live but it’s nice to see them. I do more crochet than knitting, making tea cosies, bags or socks for sale at our local information centre. Keep up the good work, and happy new year.
The mushrooms chain on your back wall is adorable. I am new to you & was wondering if you did a podcast on them. K or C? Thanks. You look like my granddaughter.
Thank you, your podcasts are food for my soul. Your projects are lovely and your shawl is looking so wonderful. You were radiant when you showed it outside. Best wishes for the new year to you and Jack.
Katie, I love that first self-drafted sweater you finished, what a lovely funnel collar. I think that Peace Fleece has long been on my list to check out but after I somehow finish all my local yarns I really want to try some John Arbon! the colors are so dreamy... I went through a similar knitting slump this summer. It was so hot and dreary, and I wanted to paint paint paint and have nothing at all to do with knitting even cottony or lineny things. But just like you, once autumn rolled around, now I find I'm just the opposite - all I want to do is sit and knit! I'm generally someone who picks up and puts down hobbies in general though, so I try to have a bunch of different creative pursuits. Let's hope both of us have strong knitting mojo for the rest of what will surely be a long and dreary winter up here in the reaches of the Northern Hemisphere!
I forgot to add that I am envious of your Peace Gleece sweater in Mourning Dove. I have been waiting for it to ve availsble for it the past year. Such s perfect rose brown. I loce your oversized jump
Thank you Kate, your finished garments are beautiful and cosy for a Welsh winter. Enjoy your time of reflection it’s the time of year for it. Have a Good New Year when it comes.
Katie I have felt the same as you about sharing what seems trivial and even indulgent in light of the devastating things happening in the world. But I also believe that the act of making something from the heart serves to put love and beauty into the world and help the healing we all so need. I am in lobe with your Escrick shawl and may have to bite the bullet and at least learn the crochet stitches it uses so I can make one. 2023 has indeed been a rough year. But I do think it is an important launching pad for ‘24. Thank you for your refreshing honesty with mental health challenges. One of the many reasons I love your podcasts. Small talk is not my gig. And thank you for applying my patron discount to my fairly recent order. I forgot to do it and I am in US, so ecen a small amount helps with shipping. I absolutely love everything I ordered! Thank youz!
Intrigued at how you knit mittens inside out. Can you give a demonstration. I have just done my first colour work hat “Lars” hat from the book by Kristen Drysdale. Would give it 8 out of 10.
You do have great places to go for a walk, and always with a view. I love the sweater you were wearing, and the neckline in particular looks great left like that. Best wishes for the New Year, Katie, and thanks for all the lovely, calming videos.
What a wonderful start to my Christmas Day - your podcast was an absolute treat. So happy to see your finished objects - your shawl is just beautiful. Thanks Katie for a year of enjoyment, it’s been a very hard year here too and your videos and honesty have really helped. Seasons greetings to you and here’s to a much better year ahead x
Lovely knitty episode! And the walks - stunning scenery. Would you mind me asking where you purchased the Daruma Geek, I’ve wanted to try it for a while but don’t know if there any stockists in the UK - thank you and looking forward to more episodes!
May I ask if you have. Brother who is a scientist? I ask because I was watching a show about a month ago and a man with your last name who bore a strong resemblance to you was speaking. I really enjoy your videos! Happy New Year!

Hello Katie! I love the jumper but I especially like the neckline. Your shawl is lovely as well. Love your videos.

Such a peaceful gift to watch your videos
I absolutely love the little garter details on your self-drafted jumper, I might just have to steal that for my next knit!
Thanks Katie, I always love watching your videos ;) My little jack russell (Jr) is showing his age more and more now (16years), it makes me smile to see your little guy hopping along with you on your walks. I am going to order Mourning Dove. Love it
Thank you for another fabulous podcast Katie.
It's great that Jack loves to "share" what you've knitted. The shawl is wonderful to admire.
A very happy new year to you, your partner and Jack🎉. I love all your finished objects. They look beautiful.

The mitts are beautiful. Seeing such loverly colour work just inspire me to learn how to do that type of knitting.
Hi, Katie. I love your over-sized sweater! The colour is perfect on you. The shawl/blanket is gorgeous! The fingerless squirrel gloves are so cute. I like your newest cast on. I wish you health and happiness in 2024❤️
Love alllll your yarn projects 😊. Also love seeing your walks with the beautiful scenery, lovely music and of course adorable Jack!
You definitely made the right decision to have a high neck in the first FO you showed, it’s so flattering. A beautiful catch up, as always 🤗😊🙏🤓
Thank you Katie for all the time you’ve given freely over the last years and those before. I sure do enjoy seeing the scenery that you share and your fine knits. And Jack ! Here’s to the coming new year 🎉
really nice items - thank you
Since I started watching your channel, I learned crochet & knitting 😊. I'm much better in crochet but I can feel the joy of meditative knitting

Love your cosy sweaters and shawl. That green hoody with the lace panels is gorgeous.
Comfy cozy knits, seems to be a trend. Like we all need a hug to say we will be ok.
Good to see you and Jack again.
Have missed you, Katie. Love the jumper you're wearing and all your finished objects. Also really like your hair.
Would love to see a tutorial on knitting your mittens inside out. Sounds intriguing - do you purl in the round instead of knit?
Summer knitting shifts for me to cotton washcloths needed for the home, Christmas ornaments and small gifts, cotton mix sweaters…a ton of things can be for summer knitting!
Loved coming back to a Yarn full episode❤❤❤❤.
Oversized looks good on you!

Katie, are you going to write up a pattern for your pink sweater?
Love your new sweaters!
Lovely episode. Happy New Year x
❤❤
Lovely knitty episode! And the walks - stunning scenery. Would you mind me asking where you purchased the Daruma Geek, I’ve wanted to try it for a while but don’t know if there any stockists in the UK - thank you and looking forward to more episodes!

Oh, if all my creative projects went smoothly…..Hah!
May I ask if you have. Brother who is a scientist? I ask because I was watching a show about a month ago and a man with your last name who bore a strong resemblance to you was speaking.
I really enjoy your videos! Happy New Year!
Not enough knitters talk about what is going on in the world 🙏 ❤🖤🤍💚
