This song and "is there someone else?" are my favorite on the album. Didn't even realized it transitioned to this song on the first listen it was so seamless. This was great.

@@jackieb2374 HOB and Thursday didn't really have seamless transitions (except After Party to Coming Down and The Birds Part 1 & 2), but EOS did and I loved that which is why this album is sonically his best work but its his "worst" project even though its a 8.5/10 he just sets the bar so high

Damn this album feels like Abel at his most vulnerable. He talked about sobering up and giving up hard drugs last year and it definitely feels like his words are more direct and clear with his emotions. This track especially hits hard.

for real, This album also shows his deeper fears maybe growing old and running out of time to find true love with the albums theme of an existential crisis and him moving closer to the afterlife as time moves on in the album with an older abel on the cover, he might be scared of dying alone.

A lot of people are already not liking this new album but for me personally, it shows his growth as an artist, it shows his maturity. People are coming out of "After Hours" expecting to sound exactly the same. It's such a well thought out album. 🖤🎈

this album has aged so wonderfully
This song made me cry so much, he really explains how regretful he feels and it just really hits me so much because of how I or even anyone can relate to this. For about 4 years, there was a time where I was so desperate to go back with my ex and I had finally given up knowing how much it was destroying me in the end. Whenever I listen to this I remember how many promises I kept trying to make to her and how many times I wanted to help her and save her, but I kept hurting her instead. When I hear “Baby, break me, kick me to the curb” all I can think of is a way of saying, if I make a mistake, you can humiliate me and I won't fight back for what I did wrong. Obviously my explanation isn't accurate, but that's what I think he's trying to convey in my opinion. This album was something different for me. I'm glad I've been growing up listening to every album he makes. He never disappoints.

This one is truly unique, and one of my favorites. With topics of regret, love and vulnerability, in an epic and nostalgic way, almost reminds me to “Faith”, like if this was the second part. Also, has a very cinematographic sound, like a well constructed climax.
One of the best of the album.
Sooo wild to read this comment because Faith is actually my favorite song off After Hours. Starry Eyes almost does feel like its sequel. In a way you can relate Is There Someone Else to Heartless since its counterparts both follow into each other on their respective albums. Such beautiful and somber imagery from both. They really go hand in hand.

Μy favourite song of the album.
I can’t get over this song.. the vulnerability on this one is something that I can relate to, more than I ever have with Abel’s music before. I just can’t pick a favorite on Dawn. I simply can’t. From start to finish, this is a beautiful & chilling sonic masterpiece. The themes on this one is something that I can appreciate greatly. I think we can all do a little healing. There will always be the pull towards everything we used to be & stand for. Sometimes we’ve got no choice but to learn to let that part of ourselves go, and learn to forgive ourselves for our past mistakes. I felt this one with my soul.. I want nothing more than to learn to let go, and see heaven’s landscape within in mind. I love XO much. It feels like a family. Thank you Abel for creating such beautiful bodies of work for us to cherish and connect over.
