What's inside a wine museum?! I found out when I visited this super unique building in Bordeaux, France. This place is a MUST VISIT if you travel to Bordeaux. The "Cité du Vin" as it's called, is a giant building meant to look like wine swirling into a decanter. But once you're inside, there are so many interactive exhibits to explore! You can fly to any wine region on the planet in their amphitheater, talk virtually to winemakers and master sommeliers, learn the history of winemaking, walk through ancient worlds, plus gather information about every wine grape, yeast strain, and wine style. The coolest part? An exhibit that lets you smell all the flavors you may find in a wine glass; I was blown away! This museum even had a wine shop, restaurant, and bar. Just found your channel. The Cite du Vin was super cool, as was Bordeaux city! I just got back to the states from France and we stayed on Smith Haut Lafitte's property and a day in St Emilion. It might be an annual trip for us now! Biking through Graves was amazing.

One of my favorite museums! I still remember the smells from these tubes! It gives you a clear explanation of what to expects from secondary or tertiary aromas. I wish I went there before my WSET!

Wow I had no idea how this museum was set up. Heard about it but it never really pealed my interest, however you have opened up my curiosity and this is a must do. Looks like this would be an all day event?
