Good resource for research and looking at demographic statistics for admissions is a college’s common data set! I use this to show people their median SAT/ACT scores and it helps you get a sense of your personal likelihood to these colleges
Hii Idk what’s your position right now but if money really is an important part of RUclips for you, then I’d recommend trying more types of content as well. College related videos tend to only spike around application season (unless you make vlogs about your experience in college which could be quite nice). But yeah, see if there’s other content you really like and if those ideas can generate revenue, even if it’s not immediate. Again, don’t know if you’re in a position where you need money right away but if it’s not a rush, then experiment more because having an audience only here for college content is really limiting unless you’re vlogging or smth. If you are in a rush though, RUclips might not even be the best idea for quick money, jobs or other things will probably be better.
thanks!!! i'm definitely in no rush for income lol. i've been dabbling with some more lifestyle type content, but tbh the average watch duration on my college videos is so much higher, and a lot of my subs subbed to me for college content, so they end up making me a lot more money on average 😭 i definitely enjoy making lifestyle vids way more, but i really want to work towards making this channel a monthly source of income. you're so right though cus i don't want this channel to be bound toward making content only about college. i'll def make more lifestyle vids once i go to college in the fall though, because i think i'd be able to get the audience that comes with college content as well as more viewers :)
