  • Parents or caregivers of children with special education needs (SEN) face enduring pressure in providing care for their loved ones. This stress not only impacts family dynamics and relationships, but also affects their mental well-being. To shed light on the psychological challenges facing these individuals, Professor Connie Chong, Assistant Professor of The Nethersole School of Nursing at CU Medicine has pioneered the development of the Pai.ACT mobile application. This groundbreaking psychological intervention platform is specifically tailored to support caregivers of SEN children in Hong Kong with their emotional health. Leveraging the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), this artificial intelligence (AI)-driven app is dedicated to providing vital support and guidance to its users.
